probably zankye's channel, he has contacts in japan and shares info pretty quick. that being said with releases at the end of each month and barely anything for january it's pretty dry right now. feb should be a good month where we'll learn about the upcoming UX releases which we have no info on

it can't be the remakes
could it be some kind of spinoff? I can't help but feel like the distinction implies that itll be something incompatible with the main releases, like those RC versions of beys they love to make very generation

It's just another subsystem like they always do in year 2.

In Plastics, we went from an unnamed system to "Spin Gear System" that added a "Spin Gear" part that allowed for spin direction changes.

In Metal Fight, we went from an unnamed system to "Hybrid Wheel System" that changed the "Wheel" part into a "Clear Wheel" and a "Metal Wheel".

In Burst, we went from an unnamed system to "Dual Layer System" that made the "Layer" part from 1 piece of plastic to 2 pieces of plastic with a screw.

Not sure what the "UX" system will entail but it'll probably be a very minor variation. Perhaps gimmick Blades, Ratchets, or Bits - don't expect anything amazing as the year 2 is always underwhelming.

i would agree with you, but if it’s the next system then why are there still BX releases after march? That’s like if burst were to continue making new single layers after the dual layer system came out. I also find it hard to believe that they would change the product code every time they start a new subsystem. It doesn’t make any sense, I just can’t see that being the answer.

with metal fight and burst, the first “prototype system” lasted from july of the release year to march of the next year, and then every subsequent system lasted for roughly a full year, so its not unusual to expect the same from X

I've been meaning to, but only been keeping up with the manga thus far. I like that Bird isn't some blading prodigy like previous protags. Like yeah others SAY he has potential, but he's a little fish in a massive pond getting carried X and Multi. Also has yet to actually win a match save for barely surviving the bottom floor test.

Why do I see so many people insist with this take? why do people not like bird? He might not be the most "badass" protagonist we've had, but he's easily one of, if not THE most captivating.
Do people not want their protagonist to experience setbacks and growth? I want my protagonist to get shit on, I want them to lose fights. Every fight he loses is going to make the time when he finally wins all the better. Do people seriously base every character's worth over how many fights they've won?

I feel part of it has to do with the BBGs Youtube channel. In one of their earlier X videos when products were starting to get released they've stated Kamen X is the protag of the anime instead of Bird.

Dransword was the Beyblade all over the promotions, they compared it to prev MC Beyblades.
And his name is X, it's in the title of the generation.
Unless he dies an/or disappears he's the main character.

Very true. At the moment it's more about balance because I'd like participants to have options instead of just Viper Tail and a bunch of flats and low flats. Also Leon Claw has a ripcord launcher, which I don't have one yet but apparently they're actually decent in X.

That's partially why I enjoyed Burst's protagonists so much. You can argue they were similar in personality, but at no point were they ever 'unstoppable' or a 'lost cause'. For every victory they had there was a loss that kept them grounded and humbled... except Bell.

I'm trying to get back into beyblade after i stopped collecting metal fight beys a few years back. Is there a good way to start collecting Takara Tomy versions of the new series? Or should I just wait for licensed versions to come out and hope they are decent quality.
On another note, anyone have experience 3d printing beyblades? I've always wanted to try my hand at making my own beyblade and I'm less sure on the 3d printing side of things than I am the metal casting side of it.

there are a few online stores that sell them but the most cost effective is using suruga-ya during their free shipping weekends. 3d printing is pretty big for X, bits can be easily printed and i've seen examples of fully printed bey including metal parts

i don't understand the disdain for un-painted metal blades. each bey looks unique to me with the various recolours. i've seen some people add small amounts of paint and the usual consensus is that as long as it's not on a contact point, paint and stickers are fine

Another point to make is that MFB introduced the hybrid wheel system a year after launch, first gen beys are going to be pretty standard and you'll expect TT to introduce more gimmicks and features in later systems.

How do you guys store your Beyblades?
I just bought a few beys and idk how many I'm gonna end up picking up but I'm enjoying getting into BX but at the moment I just kinda leave the beys I have inside a cheapo $20 stadium I got at the moment (I ended up buying an X Stadium yesterday so gotta wait for shipping).
Do you guys use storage cases or do you display them or just have them in your stadiums or in a specific drawer?

they give better control over ripcord launchers. the trick to them is to pinch the handle between your thumb and index/middle finger so that it's released by the pull

got my phoenixes today, both have been great for attack types. i've put wing on high taper to try and max down smash and wing on taper as i've heard they work well together. also getting used to the string launcher, really didn't feel good at the start but it's been better after 10s of launches

It'd be one thing if they were enthusiasts, and they aren't. The players are mostly passerby that want to relive that time they played with Pegasus when they were 8. So long as the beys collide and they're having fun then mission accomplished. With Burst my collection got so big I tell people to just reach inside my bag and grab a beyblade to use (within reason), because I'm not going through however many and changing their setups.

I'm usually good with my results on random boosters, but Viper Tail marks the first time I'd ever buy the entire set outright because I enjoyed the design so much. Also wound up getting the Shield Knight when trying for Shark Edge, and I really enjoy its coloring.

Do fakes actually contain lead or is that a psyop from shills to dissuade people from buying fakes? I heard a lot of things about people using lead paint test kits giving false positives like on real longinus or how using lead to make fakes is retarded becauses its malleable and pretty expensive compared to other metals like aluminum.

I really enjoyed Burst's avatars. They felt organic since they're actually born from bladers themselves this time around. It was very JoJo-esque in a way like Stands: the beys themselves had unique gimmicks, the avatars can respond to their partner bladers (within reason) and there's the possibility of corruption. I noticed if I do both at max then it just causes the bey to spin on top of its gear teeth skirt around the bit, and I'm concerned it's just going to wear that plastic down incredibly fast.

don't worry too much about plastic wear, there are people that do hours of testing each week and there have only been freak breaks. really you need to learn what the best technique is for what you want to do. the most common launches are flat or slight tilt, figure out how those affect the spin patterns of your builds and go from there

Yeah I can dig that, flat or slight tilt. Is there a power setting I should shoot for or is it always dependent on the bey? I noticed if I soft launch staminas they tend to hang out in the middle, if it's higher rates of pull then they evade on the edges. If I do this with attack types they never connect with the xtreme line to crash into their target. I've been able to get my phoenix feather to engage with the xtreme line three to four times max at full power before it's too weak to connect with the outer edges, but this test was conducted without any targets in the arena.

I don't have tall bits and ratchets to test this yet, but wouldn't an extreme tilt on a tall bey make them really great counter attackers? Practicing control of what side you're presenting to your aggressor could be a valuable skill if that is a viable strategy.

Bump King is legit in my experience. Good range that gives it good synergy with its base. Hits good, moves well, takes recoil surprisingly well.
The only truly bad bey from the first lot of plastic gen is Saizo/Polta/Spark Knight. Actually unsalvageable garbage.

Hmm... Pokémon Ultimatch fire discs, which isn't as fun as Bottleman and B-Daman. I actually like the concept of Bottleman, but the God Cap series is a massive dip in quality compared to the previous two lines in favor of fancy gimmicks and Strike Shot versions of caps. I honestly don't see Bird winning a match until at least summer. Still haven't seen info on the new chapter yet, but provideid X does win his match that still leaves Multi that can likely hold her own, then of course there's Bird. Even if they lost and had to regress some floors there's still a huge power gap between him and everyone else in the Tower seeing how he got floored immediately on the first floor by Rhino Horn and barely survived his advancement test.

Bird's getting stronger, but it's going to be a while before he's actually considered decent. Don't forget he's teamed up with two prodigies so naturally his progression is going to seem slower when expected to play at their level out the gate.

I've seen that phrase before in thumbnails.
That explains it, watching the videos made me nostalgic.
People kept comparing Ryuga to Sukuna from JJK.
He was always people's favorite character, they keep saying he's the goat.
Ryuga is fun, but he's really over hyped as the best.
But this was probably one of people's formative anime.

Someone tried doing that with his Metal Fight (Hades Kerbecs) against my Burst. His broke, mine were fine and I used all stock setups. In the past I've had people say they'd show up with their own collection, but it's never happened. Frankly that never bothers me when I have more than enough to share with people already.

If somebody ever did walk up one day with his own beys and wanted to have a few rounds then sure I'd consider buidling one from scratch. For recreation purposes though, I don't see the necessity in mix matching parts for a crowd that won't know the difference and just want to see tops move. Some time in the future I'd like to do a 3 v 3 battle with six people and then at the very least I could help them build a beyblade if they were interested since X is simple to deconstruct and put together.

On the plus side Bird is getting stronger despite his constant losing streak. Dude seriously needs to find his own battle style though, at the same time maybe with enough losses he'll start to understand what makes Hellscythe and Chain so special.

Sometimes they are different molds that tend to have more or less material uses to produce the bey, I can remember this coming up with red wizard arrows being on the top end of the mold performance and yellow arrow being all the way on the bottom.

Be real with me here, anons. What's the point of taller beys? Better center of balance? Better defense? It just seems to me like any non-attack combo that's using 80 ratchets would just perform better using 60 ratchets to avoid bursting or being scooped by lower beys. Is there any advantage at all to being tall?

Yes but does attacking from above even actually work though? marketing fluff is rarely substantiated. i dont think even knight lance's blade is shaped well enough to hit lower beys

so i haven't figured out a way to test properly, but 80 ratchets seems to have a higher bust resistance. with part heights you can raise or lower in 1mm increments using the high/regular/low bits and 60/80 ratchets. blades contact each other differently based on their heights compared to each other, tall beys generally use down smash hits to knock the opponent off balance

you figured out a test yet? I tried something basic with WG vs DS. 5-80HN vs 5-60LF. I chose WG cause it looked like the blade do some downward attacks and I picked DS just as a generic attacker. I also maximised the height diff using the bits. It seems like its very easy for DS to scoop WG in my test battles. got a bunch of Xtreme finish win for DS. There were times when WG pushed away DS really hard but its really infrequent

The idea of increasing your height to defend against upper attackers isn't bad. One of the more popular MFB combos is Flame 230. The problem with Knight Lance, however, is that it's just now tall enough for its gimmick to actually work.

Recently I added this dran set to a huge order from a good online source but they listed this set as backordered and held my shipment back. Then three days latter this set shows up by itself. I love this set, got a lot of practice in with it already, but I cannot wait for the rest to arrive.

It's been almost a month and they haven't sent everything else. When I messages them they said "oh there was another out of stock part of you order so we held the big one back." Fast forward to today and a rhino horn just arrived, being the one part they didn't have in stock when they emailed me. What the fuck should I do? I've already messaged them, they gave me tracking for the larger portion of the order, but it still says it isn't picked up from their store yet. A month waiting for stuff they clearly do have in stock isn't reasonable in my eyes. Just fucking ship the bigger order and then piece meal the parts you're missing; how hard is that?

Suruga-ya shipping time isn't terrible from what I've tried so far. The main issue is that their stock isn't the best, so while they're cheaper for some things, there's stuff you can't find from them, at least from what I've seen. Couldn't find anything with a stadium, couldn't find Phoenix Wing or the Dran Dagger or Hells Chain sets for example.
