>>10819059Ross, TJ Max, Burlington are not thrift stores, even if you have them after the period - it looks like you maybe dropped a sentence there. Some Marshall's also have toys - you simply need to PHONE them and see. Big Lots also carries stuff but again, very hit and miss. Dollar stores have started carrying a small amount of things, but given their price points, we're talking small crap or really REALLY crappy things if it ever sold for more than $2 on line, like excessive low end Lightyear and Jurassic World crap you could find this year. My experience is that you need to go and look at what they carry but I rarely make a special trip, I only hit them when I am doing other stuff because none are really near me or convenient to where I otherwise am running errands.
If you know Out of the Closet, then there are smaller thrift stores, you just need to check mapping or browser search for 'em. Goodwill is worthless because too many of the stores take anything worthwhile and send it off to their digital storefront which is mostly a big rip off, as are the digital storefronts on EBAY, some of which are shipping fee scams.
>>10819419>has never met the community of collectors in his areaI read comic books and I barely get to know the LCS buyers in my area if I don't already know them otherwise. I just don't think this exists OUTSIDE online (which is where I do have a 'community of collectors' - just not on this crappy site since even this board has too much pol for my taste) - however, I wish the toy flea market didn't happen essentially another county over and that the decent swap meets that do exist in my are were convenient and didn't cost an arm and leg to browse, since that WOULD be the way to meet local collectors.
Also, I'm sure some of these dudes live with Mom, not grandma.
