God the quality of these have degraded HORRIFICALLY
I remember getting a lot of kinder joys with someone and the toys just didn't have charm, not to mention the ones that are cardboard cutouts.

Atleast the old cool ones are still pretty cheap and easily accessible online.

I remember every time I would go to the supermarket with my Mum she'd get me a kinder egg, I still have a giant sack of them but I don't think I'll ever end up displaying them. Maybe just my favorites like picrel

I fucking love Europe.
While puritan america is afraid to show boobs (while selling guns like they are some hamburgers and making movies with gore), Europe just likes to embrace sexuality in all kinds of way because it's natural.

Kinder eggs were invented in Italy and more popular in italy.
we have extra LARGE eggs for our easter.
Last year we had picrelated:

in 2022 we had pokemon eggs with lots of cool stuff inside like stands for pokemon cards in shape of Gengar and etc.

Kinder eggs were sold in 1972 in Italy but with the generic gum surprise toys in it. When they soldmthem in Germany in 74 they had the designer Peter Bermes, Uwe Koch, Havranek and Heinrich Roth. Their names sound German or Austrian or Swiss. And they designed the famous toys.
And they are one of the beloved brands. So it makes sense that they heavily influenced German kids.
Maybe when we look at that map i mentiomed the Furries flags in Italy are high too?

Would this candy toy I got in San Francisco Japantown be statue or a toy? I've had it called a statue and "not toy related" on 3 occasions, which baffles me. It may not have moving joints, but it's still a toy. It was in a toy isle of a corner market across from prepackaged foods and alcohol and nothing in the store was labeled in English, but I'm certain it was a toy and not a statue. It came in an oval cardboard package with Smarties like candy packed in it and they were blind purchases.

I love collectiong little figurines and nicknack toys, especially blind ones. So fun. Really blows my mind when I encounter reactions to them as nit being toys.

These guys were my favorites, I had all 4 of them. The little ships with the dudes have a small wheel under them so you could use them like a car and each of the large ships could open and the little guys could fit inside. Loved how tiny but functional they were

Tell me about it. Everytime I go to the market for groceries, I see Kinder Eggs and some knock-off ones too. I always buy 3 or so, hoping I'll get some cool stuff like the old days and every time I'm disappointed because they're just so bland or outright terrible quality compared to the old toys
The most decent thing I've gotten that still reminded me of old times was a pink unicorn with blue hair and even then he's pretty messy. Had to force down his hair onto his scalp because it was floating above his head by like 2 or 3 mm
