I never knew it was "Lego" and not "Legos"
Are people autistic enough to care about that or are the terms basically interchangeable?
Also, is buying random bulk worth it? Used to have a bunch as a kid, and recently bought pic related, but I want a bunch of raw resources to actually play around with and make MOCs.
Not into the whole dust collector thing.

It's not great but it's good. Better than the "realistic" City Space sets we've gotten in recent years. Still, I wish they embraced the fantasy a little more. The little green aliens are pretty boring, but I guess in this sub-theme, they're just like animals that the astronauts are observing.
Would love another theme like Galaxy Squad, but I'll settle for this.

Bionicle is the best Lego theme to ever exist
80s and 90s are best time period for System, though 2000-roughly 2012 still had a fair amount of somewhat good stuff. In recent years most sets are pure trash but there are exceptions:
>new versions of Mandalorians (Boba, Jango, Din) are actually pretty based
>many of the new City, Space, and Stuntz sets are pretty good, and Stuntz is soulful and the concept if redone with old colors bricks etc would fit in with 90s-very early 00s Lego quite well, Rocket Racer stunt bike is perhaps the best post-2005 set that exists
in fact I will go so far as to say that Stuntz is the ONLY soulful theme released more recently than 2003 or so(though there are newer soulful sets from older themes i.e. the 2004 SW cantina is soulful but SW is a 1999 theme not a 2004 theme)

The land vehicles are great with those big chunky wheels, puts me in mind of the Mega Core Magnetizer. The jet is uninspired. The Space station is dreadful, zero play value. Not sure how to feel about the base, interesting form factor but I feel like this is another building that would have benefited a great deal from a baseplate to give it more cohesion.

Also, I know I'm in the minority here but I like the little aliens. Not as good as Life on Mars aliens, way better than the Mars Mission grunts just by virtue of being cute. I'll call it a 7/10 line off looks, we'll see if that changes when I get some of this in hand.

The Shadow minfigure is great, the bike build isn't just some random shit like Knuckles' mech (which is unironically a great build), and is actually a solid lego bike design that works with the character. The side builds are decent, but if you don't like them, just use the parts for something else.

That's what gets me about this monolithic cubicle. There's no poop, just a seat cover and toilet roll. But it's the sheer size of it compared to the lab stations and lack of anything similar. On paper a toilet is fine, I love a fleshed out interior, but a freezer sort of thing for samples or gear locker would have been much more fitting if they werent gonna go all in.

Yeah I bought a few Monkie Kid sets last year for the Bionicle GWP, kinda vibed with it. Another anon convinced me to get a few minifigs off of BaP a few months ago, and now I've bought a few of the sets I missed. Jin and Yin set coming next, looks like a ridiculous build.
Cartoon is way better than it deserves to be.
I'm just happy to see another Lego theme that isn't killed preemptively and has a strong variety of builds.

Ex Yugoslav country and I find these by trash bins and flea markets. I do wash them. I have a few old socks that I put them in and secure with rubber bands. From there they go into the next load of laundry but cool water and no spin. Some parts need a good polish after that and some are best used in hidden areas of a build. If they’re really bent a good soak in boiled water gets them back in shape again. Then some are just fucked.

I'm done modifiying the two lego sets i got this christmas, the stromtrooper mech and the creator super robot.
I hated the stormtrooper more than I thought I would, so it ended up with just no white pieces at all. The super robot I actually had bought and built before, and what started with giving it all the articulation I wanted, ended up with changing pretty much everything but the feet.

I hate that I'm starting to like the unhinged limb pieces. They still suck ass, but it's nice that they exist

Popped in the shop to have a look at the X-Jet. Didn't buy it. Feels like a thoroughly mediocre set for the price. Magneto looks like a grandma and the jet is quite small.

I actually really appreciate Dreamz’s emphasis on alternate builds. When it inevitably is cancelled they should do that across all themes. Its gimmick is the best of the three by far. Hidden Side was great it just had confusing and misleading box art tied to its phone game that no one played. Vidiyo was just vomit. I have nothing nice to say about it

I don’t mind it conceptually it’s just no one knows how to paint lego. It looks bad all the time. What I have seen are the people that get official lego pieces and have their own stamp machine equivalent to what lego uses. That is great. I don’t have any but I’m super impressed by it. Ehhh all toy shops in my little shithole town have Series 25 without the QR code. Fuck you Lego, them being in bags was already scummy, but after a while, molesting the bags and quessing what's inside were kinda fun. But now? I think I'll skip it. As I always want like 3-4 minis per series. And people scalp ones i like full kike mode. Dark Knight, Barbarian Bitch, Goat Fucker, Schroom Whore and maybe the Harpy so knights have some MOBs to kill... hmm several of those could be used in harpy nest... just fuck you Lego.
