I've bought three different little Zuru Max sets from Dollarama and one of their big figure packs found at TRU. The bricks were alright, felt like there were clutch issues but otherwise decent. I like the figs and they have several neat accessories, not many different faces though. I think they're trying a little too hard to be a "cheaper" Lego, been seeing they have a wave of blind bag figs but they're basically the same guys in the fig pack.

So I've got some Genshin Impact minis off Brixtoy.

Very good quality moulds and prints, unique accessories, but for 2.50 Euro not exactly cheap. I'd say they're worth it though. Getting the golden fulus (one's in the back) attached to Qiqi's headpiece was a pain, but once they're there, they sit tight. The legs, arms, torso and head are 100% Lego clone as far as I can tell, even the connectors inside.

Now I wish I knew who made those, to check their other offerings. HeroBloks lists the brand as "Unknown".

What are some of the best Japanese-themed sets? Anything from Japanese Temples and landmarks to modern Japanese architecture to objects or art. I just ordered the CaDa Tea Shop set (and I'll probably pick up the steamed bun set if the first set works out), but I'm curious if anyone has any other recommendations.
I'm particularly interested in real-world landmarks or historical sites. I saw some company has the Kiyomizudera gate, but I'm not a huge fan of the dedicated roof tiles.

There's a straight knock-off El Dorado Fortress on Ali for a hundred bucks cheaper than the real one (including 40 bucks for shipping). Wasn't planning on getting one but this is tempting for trolling the /lg/. Should I bite?

And done. TL:DR, another good set.
The good; no missing parts, good clutch, has knee joints that work, good joint strenght, lots of extra parts to change the color scheme. Clear instructions meant for human eyes. UTV is spacious enough to fit up to minidolls and is just over 6 studs wide.
The not-so-good; a bit pricy for what it is, my autism wants to inform you the turreted minigun does not elevate on the UTV.

MyBuild overall: After building 16 of their mecha, I would recommend them. They all fit standard minifigs.
HOWEVER, be aware 2 sets were missing 1 common part, 2 had a part with poor clutch.

I would hesitate to recommend their Titan mech. The Titan mech was a very fun build compared to the rest, but it is too big and heavy for the joints, so is a bit floppy and hard to pose. My rustled jimmies also points out the shoulder turrets don't elevate on the titan. It's not bad, just a bit too heavy for the design and joints.

And yes, the turrets can be rebuilt elevate, they just don't come like that out of the box.

I've recently been sorting all my old lego, some of which I'm going to sell and some of which I'm going to keep. In the latter are my old castle/knights sets, which are mostly minifigures, I want to have some scenery for them including a small church/chapel because I already have some medieval houses and castle/fortifications parts. What's the best brand of lego compatible bricks that I can go to with a parts list once i've designed my chapel and know what bits I need? As I said, I'm planning on getting rid of most of my old stuff so I won't have many parts left

webrick has the option to give them a parts list and they'll go through their inventory and show you what they got, and the bricks are good from what I've heard.
If you're fine with doing it manually, you can look for gobricks pieces, probably on yourwobb. Gobricks is on par if not ahead of lego in quality, especially concerning nowadays' bricks.

Ok, are gobricks significantly better than webrick? Like are the bricks higher quality relative to the price and do they have a wider range? The chapel I want to build won’t be huge so I don’t mind inputting the request piece by piece but I want to know if it’s better given the increased effort

If you don't care about very slight color mismatches and maybe injection points then I imagine webrick will be the better choice. Since you're building for classic figures, I imagine the parts won't need many newer/rare colors? aside from translucents. It's really up to what you need. Also, Webrick right now is taking a production break due to the chinese spring festival so they may be a bit short on some pieces/colors

The figures aren't that old, only about 15-20 years mostly, but the colours are still consistent enough even going further back, and it's for a seperate ish build
aside from translucents. It's really up to what you need.
I'll keep that in mind then, i haven't decided on the build yet anyway

In addition, it looks like they are producing some minifig scale vehicles separately from their mecha; a humvee & trailer and a stealth helicopter. Also a couple new mecha in their sci-fi line.

I've become disillusioned with L*go and I'm done paying more and more for a product that keeps getting worse and worse.
What are the best knock-off manufacturers to buy from on any of the sweatshop online stores? Has their quality improved in any way in recent years? From what I've seen any set with a lot of moving parts is still jank, but anything else gets really close to the original. I remember buying one almost a decade ago and remember it being decent enough although you could clearly tell it's not "genuine".

T-thank you, Canada Post... It's a BL order but after the last couple snafus this was the most fitting place to post. Will say this is the first time I've ever received something physically damaged by its trip through the mail, seems like one side of the bubble envelope got crushed and these were the casualties.

OG light grey, they were cheap cuz of broken-off nose protectors and were just order-padding, still sucks. Didn't bother to tell the seller and left them positive feedback cuz it wasn't their fault, not worth making a case with CP either.

my grandma got me this thing for Christmas lol. I assume she found it cheap on Amazon. the light brick and pieces are pretty neat and seem decent quality. the build is kind of a nightmare. the "heart thing in the center that the light pipe wraps around is the most frustrating assembly I've ever built. almost gave up like 5 times. I've never felt that frustrated from a Lego style toy before.

Some better news after the mail screw-ups, was stoked to find a store that carries some of the weapons and armor from those Crusades and English Civil War figs. They still haven't reproduced the one classic Lego helm but this one is a worthy alternative, though it only comes in metallic silver I think.
