For your question, I can't seem to find lots of pics for the Seiken Densetsu Bring Arts, only found this comparing Riesz to a figma but figma Kashima is kinda similar to Bring Arts Tifa in size, I think I remember a picture of the 2 together.

One thing for sure, the Seiken Densetsu Bring Arts are on the bigger size compared to to other Bring Arts lines

If I miss anything on the release date sched, or I did any mistakes, do correct me

If only figma or SHF can only make figures from the FF series then we can get really good figures but alas, SE has a tight monopoly for their IPs

Which is quite surprising. I think the only other tall BA are the KHFF7 ones?

I was hoping for them to work with the FF9 and DQ casts, but the latter appear to be midgets and the former.. Well they're all stylized anyways, but they're around Kuja's size.

The Mana ones were a waste of money. Way overpriced, paint slop on par with Hasbro products, those ugly ass round bulges in the elbows. And no one really wants them, trying to sell a set got no interest so now I'm stuck with them or have to throw them in the trash. Probably because SD3 is a mostly unknown thing in the franchise due to only getting a modern western release recently with a bad translation, of which no one was sure of thanks to the Mana remake being a total shitstorm.

They're not gonna do shit beyond FF7 and whatever the current new game is. They can't figure out why they're losing so much money, but that's what they're sticking with now. You might get new DQ figures if/when they ever get a new DQ game out.

Can't find a specific pic for you but upon searching, World of Nintendo BotW Link is around the same size as SHF Mario/Luigi so Cloud will be taller

Only two real complaints
1.Cloud's legs come off easily, but that can be fixed by shaving down a bit of plastic off his legs.
2.they're expensive and lack accessories.

Like what >>10829377 said, very bare bones, engineering for joints is dated, kinda similar to figma 1.0 and lack of accessories which I hope they address by releasing a weapon pack in the future, they did this before with the old Play Arts line as well the the Bring Arts Nier series where they released a weapon set

Oh forgot to mention, Tifa Bring Arts gloves are factory installed backwards, its an easy fix though but still for the price, buyers shouldn't do that, atleast thats the only complain for Tifa, could have been worse

No no, I wasn't complaining about the Tifa pics, I was more making a joke about how that particular image had a bunch of different Tifa figures, starting from large and just going smaller and smaller and smaller as you scrolled down the image. It just kind of reminded me of like a fractal of Tifas.

Idk man these are each overpriced by at least $50. They just know they can set the price cause they have their own line and the diehard fans will pay whatever it costs. I really like the look of these guys together. Glad I held off on the Bring Arts impulse buy. That being said, the fact that we don't have a Barrett in this scale is devastating.

Does anyone who owns the Sephiroth from this set have pics of him together with the others? I have the original Advent Children Seph and am wondering if there's enough of a difference to pay the 75 bones for the OG to be more accurate.

ive owned the game ver. and enjoyed it, but I think the advent children ver can have the coat open, on top of having much easier access via bootlegs.

siiigh. i had almost all the old PA but their articulation just didnt do it for me. and bring arts still have some weird, ugly decisions... Not sure how many i will get besides cloud and sephiroth..

Yeah, for me they were good for their time years ago, also no Cid too, like with the Advent Children Play Arts non Kai, both Cid and Barret are also left out, its been years since I messed with them but I kinda remember Sephiroth shoulder joint and pauldron is much better than Advent Children Sephiroth, don't take my word for it though as I might be wrong on that, I do hate that game version Sephiroth has that glittering hair, you would notice it irl, not much in photos, Tifa there has translucent hair but you will only notice it when you really look at it

Have all the Play Arts non Kai version of the og FFVII, AC and CC, my only gripe for them at the time was their size is too big for my collection as I mostly collect 6 inch scale or 1/12, so when SE made Bring Arts line scale to around 1/12, I was hoping they do FFVII as I really wanted a 1/12 scale Tifa to go along with my SHF Chun-Li and figma Kasumi, I know if they do eventually tackle the FFVII series they will do it and make them in their Remake looks, I don't mind that though but I prefer their og looks as well as the anime-ish look will work better to fit it with the anime-ish aesthetic of SHF Chun and figma Kasumi, I was so happy when Cloud Bring Arts promo pics got relased as he is in his og look, then happy Tifa turned out good in terms of looks

I think nobody is overpraising Tifa, price is overpriced though for what it offers and figma 1.0 tech, it just that SE has complete monopoly of their IP so collectors/fans are forced to buy their figures. For me, the figure looks fine so I can justify it and I hardly pose/play with my figures, I just pose them once in a long while then leave them and change it up from time to time, still it could have been better had a better company got the license.

Bandai is releasing a Figuarts version of 2b from Nier Automata soon, so maybe Square is relaxing a bit. Or maybe they just realized that their figures are shitty (for the price), I don't know.

I think SE only "allows" for some reason non FF stuff as there are Nendoroid Nier, Dragon Quests, FF merch still I haven't seen SE give license to other 3rd party companies, they only did that to FF years ago with the Extra Knights series made by Bandai and the Guardian Forces made Kotobukiya, some early Play Arts too were sculpted by Kotobukiya as well

the old Play Arts as well as the Play Arts Kai has the joint in the arm and the cloth section are separate pieces that just overlap. it's the easiest way to handle it as far as engineering goes with the downside that you get visible sculpt breaks https://youtu.be/V4v6UesBPRk?t=626

Is ~$60 for SQVI Terry good? BBTS has him on sale, and DQVI is one of the few DQs I've beaten.
Also, how's DQIV Alena? She's tempting too, but only Square Enix store has her, and unless she's spectacular I'm gonna wait for a general reprint or sale.

She was my first DQ BA because I got her for ~€40.
Do have to warn, because multi-billion company Square-Enix was too cheap to add paint-transfer protective slips, so it's highly likely her cape will be stuck to her butt. It leaves a dark mark and depending on how you removed the cape, could have some nasty sharp paint edges.
She comes with a lot, which is neat, but I don't recommend her at full price, especially with having to go through 2 replacements myself because the QC was so bad.
