Playmobil Lord of the Rings is coming

>Playmobil, the iconic German toy manufacturer, today announced a new line of toys inspired by The Lord of the Rings, the beloved fantasy franchise created by J.R.R. Tolkien. The new line will feature a variety of figures, playsets, and accessories based on the upcoming War of Rohirrim anime theatrical film from Warner Bros. Discovery, as well as the upcoming Amazon Prime Video series The Rings of Power.

>The first wave of Lord of the Rings toys from Playmobil will be released in August 2024, just in time for the theatrical release of War of the Rohirrim. The line will include sets featuring characters such as Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli, Rohan warriors, and Uruk-hai orcs. The toys will also feature iconic locations from the films, such as Helm’s Deep and Minas Tirith.

>In addition to the War of the Rohirrim sets, Playmobil also has plans to release sets based on The Rings of Power. The agreement with Amazon Studios allows Playmobil to create toys based on the series for the next five years.
