At what price range can you generally expect collectibles to be flawless in terms of paint quality?

I've recently started collecting action figures, particularly robot spirits and sh figuarts by Bandai. I've noticed that almost all of them have aesthetic defects like nub marks, paint flaws, and scratches. Considering these are mass-produced toys, it's understandable until you realize that they retail for $80 a pop on average. How can a company like Bandai justify these prices? Pic related is the metal build Hi-Nu, which retailed for $300 and had laughingly bad paint jobs. So, at what price range can you generally expect collectibles to be flawless in terms of paint quality?
