>>10843558>Hayden hateNearly every actor in that movie gives a mediocre or bad performance, and i can’t imagine anyone being able to sell the dreadful romance dialogue, which sounds like it was written by a 14 year old
>you are a zoomer or millennial You mean like nearly everyone here?
It’s mostly zoomers and millennials who insist that the prequels are actually masterpieces because they grew up with them and need to justify remaining obsessed with this franchise.
>that cgi still looks good todayTrying too hard now, arguing that AotC cgi holds up is like trying to argue that the animated Beowulf cgi holds up
It’s cool art direction that ends up being betrayed by how artificial the effects look
>good character drama good political dramaIt has a good premise/synopsis for the drama and is absolutely awful at executing those ideas, it makes every character except for palpatine seem mentally retarded by not figuring out the very obvious basis of the conspiracy with the clones, did he use the force to replace the jedis’ extra midichlorians with extra chromosomes?
Anakin is too immediately whiny and insufferable, him losing it on the tusken raiders is a good idea, but it’s undermined by the fact that he spent most of the movie up to that point whining about obi-wan
I was actually really disappointed rewatching AotC because when I was a kid I thought the lightsaber fights were cool and that made it my second favourite Star Wars movie (they’re actually worse than the ones in episode 1, 3, 5 or 6), now I just feel bad that my parents had to watch it with me so many times. I won’t call it the worst Star Wars movie because I haven’t seen episodes 8 and 9 but it’s not a good movie.
