This was the best thing they could do. I skipped SO many deals because it had to be shipped right away and I was traveling a lot, plus some deals were ruined by the $4 shipping which put some figures equal to Amazon pricing anyway if you just wanted one figure.

Part of it was because they let people pay with PayPal on preorders which was charged right away. And because of the way their system was, if you used PayPal you couldn't make any edits to your order yourself, it had to be done on their side by contacting customer service. So during those final days, they were basically down to like two people who were overwhelmed and couldn't edit orders while also shipping stuff out and they had lost their account with PayPal by that point anyway. The only way you could do anything about it was to file a claim with PayPal yourself but their policy is you can't do a charge back for anything past 120 days of the original transaction date. So since they took orders for figures that weren't being released for another six months or so, by the time the ship was sinking, it was already much too late to do anything about.

Preorders where they charge you are basically debts. So think of it like buying stock in a company. If you have stock in a company that fails, you're basically SOL and the same is true if you pay for something from a company and the company goes out of business before they can get it to you. Basically never preorder from a place that charges you immediately upon the preorder.

How do you find the discounts they don't promote? Like right now I was trying to buy King Cold ichibansho and it's literally 50% off but it's not on the daily deals. Just browsing and getting lucky i guess? I know they have the clearance section as well but usually that's bottom of the barrel stuff. I noticed they keep some stuff on discount too for a while after promoting it. Like the golden axe storm figures. I saw some on sale, which i bought and then after the "sale" was over they kept them marked down for a while.
