>>10893259>You can definitely tell when you get a figure from a smoker since it usually smells like they sprayed it with something else to mask the smell.Lucky you. I once bought a Revoltech QB Menace (a few years before the Legacy was announced) that stank of tobacco even on the outside of the box. Seller never mentioned it and would not do a return, so I gave him a bad feedback (shoulda escalated the dispute, but stupidly figured I could get the smell off). I tried soaking it in dish soap, washing ut in hot water, finally buried the figure and accessories in baking soda for a month and it still did nothing to even tone-down the smell. Ended up selling it to an anon who told me he was fine with cig smell (bless him). Now I ask any seller, be it EBay, BST, etc if their item comes from a smoke-free environment if it isn’t already mentioned.
>>10893192Yeah, but lots of those things are more newly discovered to be carcinogenic. Smoking was revealed to be bad for your health more than half a century ago, and not just cancer. Bad breath, stained teeth and fingernails, premature aging, permanent Dunmer voice, being unable to walk around without wheezing like hell, smelling like an ashtray 24/7, the list goes on. There’s no reason to do cigs in this day and age, hell, even vaping is a safer way to deal with nicotine addiction (though the real solution is to get off nicotine for good). If you’re still smoking nowadays even after all the info available out there you’re an idiot.
