On a side note, I actually saw Shart at SDCC way back in like 2015 or 2016. It was whatever year they were promoting Ant Man. It was at the Hasbro booth. I was looking at the various displays they had up when this absolute goon came up and shoved his way in front of everyone and started narrating whatever video he was doing in his gay nerd persona or whatever. It was beyond distracting, a little disturbing and it made everyone else around him uncomfortable. I didn't know who he was at the time but he was distinct enough that I recognized him in a later video, years later. How old even is he? I can't imagine going out and acting the way he does in public.

I worked on something with him briefly, and there was no aspect of it where he didn't ignore directions, even when given to him in extensive written form, and completely fail to uphold his end of it.

The next time I ran in to him after that was at a con where he was filming something, and he shoved me out of the way so he could get a better shot. Didn't even give me a real look.

I started watching Jobby just because of the entertainment value and honestly, I have to say that he has quite a lot of knowledge when it comes to figures or at least how they are made. Plus, he offers "better" content than most other toy Youtubers. I think hobby is a bit underrated due to his solidity judgement, as most everybody else seems to gloss over how solid a figure feels, and is, which I find to be a very important factor. Haven't watched him in a while so I can't tell you for sure. Saw a clip the other day after a long while and it didn't have any skits. Then again, a quick check on his page shows me his output has become more frequent which could mean that he adheres to a tighter time schedule, meaning skits not being made that often anymore

I know this has always been true of the internet to a degree, but post-2016 is when this sort of behavior just exploded imo. I would say there was a surge during that time for sure although the negativity was noticable way earlier. People have been prone to being negative forever, you just notice it way more now that social media is as rampant as ever. When I started visiting /b/, it was a pure shithole, literally 10 times worse than now. Facebook at that time was still okay but when I returned to my home in 2016 after a semester abroad, I noticed the influx of lunatics on Facebook.
