this happened to me with the sonic movie figures at target, I waited for the morning open to ask for the figures because they weren't out and they had no clue what I was asking for, they came out with a case, minus the Robotnik, like it's becoming very easy to walk away from collecting when this shit happens every series with flippers, retailers, and distribution bullshit

it's kind of like the toys aren't really in the store to be bought or enjoyed, you just show up, feel defeated like a cuck when only half the figures are ever there, and the retailer gets your foot traffic, the scalper gets 3x what he paid, and you just wasted your time and energy

thats happened with us. My kid loves goojitzu figures. We found them at Target, when we took them up to the register, they claimed "these were recalled". And they couldnt sell them to us... and then we just bought them the same day on amazon.

This only works if you bring another figure up with you that will actually scan. Otherwise the street dated figure will bring up an error that requires employee override. I had this happen at Target and the old lady overseeing the checkout station had to just void it and then took the figure that was dated to be put back somewhere. Had I known that was going to happen, I would have just scanned the other figure I was getting twice since it wasn't dated.

you go to self check out and then ask for help when it doesnt scan, generally u get someone to manually enter what they think it is and you should be alright
