>>11339924 Halo was really popular but you got the impression that THEY wanted to "finish it off" and do something else.
The problem was there really wasn't.
There were a couple of "adult masterbuilds" (and I still thank that X-box was a bullshit attempt.. ) and assuming you could find them that was pretty much it except Pokemon.
A bunch of things like the last MotU heroes set started out poorly.
I mean they were listed as cancelled
THEN released - but via German Amazon and other weird ways.
Then when people found out about them being released they were "uncancelled" but became "the last"
I have always felt Mattel sort of bought the line as sort of a loss leader. So they could make a product but make more money NOT sending it via normal distribution channels.
(which also killed orders for it at places like Walmart.)
Matty writes off production cost and "projected losses" and for the shareholders "wins"
There was such a price disparity in sets as well. The Gerrault set for example - and the failure to have ANY other Witcher merch. They could have also re-tooled Game of Thrones figures and fueled a Witcher or generic fantasy line.
Heck, single figures and "custom costume kits" would have done that and also replaced all the LEGO figures people were using for D&D.
