>>11397675I'm glad i don't give a shit about cards, but when every asshole decided to get into it and look at every adjacent hobby with money in their eyes....
>>11398180Oh, look, here's one of those assholes.. or maybe you're less of one, because you actually started in the hobby in the first place?
When everyone like you suddenly thought they could get rich, everything became inflated in price. Video games, toys, comics, it's fucking ridiculous how many nerd hobbies became a commodity and every garage sale, good will, and second hand shop started getting stripped mined. One month, one thing is dollar bin tier shit, the next day it's sold as if it's gold.
Do you see the problem there?
And despite COVID hysteria no longer being a thing, prices have remained mostly the same, because those assholes "know what they got." They're stuck holding onto junk and refuse to lose money on it.
THEN other assholes who only look at the prices of current listing and think that's what its worth, put their own shit on sale for the same price. So the prices stays inflated, and all of them would rather delist it without a sale than ever lower their price.
Before COVID, sales were actually pretty frequent for various things. Today? Everyone acts like they'er Kaybee, keeping pegwarmers for decades.
