Also, i love how people don't understand what's going on here. Completely surface level understanding, reading only a news headliner and that's it. Tariffs are only part of the shit that's going on here, and probably the least important part, hence being so low or 0% for decades.
The CURRENT stuff that America makes, a lot of it is banned from being sold in other countries, and this is why this tariff war started. They want to get their products into other countries, like foods, cars, weapons, electronics, etc etc etc.
So it's about selling MORE of our domestic products, so that factories can remain open, expanded, and more people are employed.
Since most of you are zoomers, you probably didn't know how much shit is still made in the US, because you've only known about how your parents work at Walmart and Dollar Stores, but that life style doesn't cut it anymore. This is why you guys have been bitching about toys raising in price $5 for the past 4 years and even more bitching about hasbro's recent $30 and $50 figures.
China can no longer offer you cheap goods like you remember from your manchildhood. It can no longer be the way it was and the government wants to return to how it was before 2000, when higher paying jobs started being outsourced.
