>>5249838Mate I don't care about people posting how excited they are to get the dolls, pics of their queue tickets etc. That's part of the fun, thrill of the hunt and all that. I probably should've been more discrete with my choice of words but alas, I was high on consumerism; what pisses me off is the people who brag about corralling their families in front of multiple computers at stupid o'clock to help them purchase dolls, those who claim to have worn down relatives/spouses into footing the bill, that kind of shit. Got pretty grating after the first few weeks of trying to buy the dolls piecemeal on Disney's mobile site without any luck.
I can't speak for the US, but the Disney Store UK's facebook is an absolute shitshow of entitlement. I've collected a lot of things in my time - I'm into BJDs and have run the Volks gauntlet once or twice - yet I've never seen people throwing anything like the kind of tantrums that people have over these dolls. Maybe it's the nature of the beast? Disney attracts the "normies", as it were? i.e. People who aren't familiar with the tense nature of attempting to buy a limited edition item, and who get too emotionally involved too easily.
People are literally laying into Disney because they weren't lucky enough to acquire limited edition merchandise from a highly sought after franchise. Like that woman I posted - "I am a set missing and would invite your proposal for resolution" - is this bitch serious? What "resolution" does she have in mind? A free doll?! It's a known fact that the Disney websites all suck, no one is deliberately being victimised by the Illuminati here. Some woman's gone as far as starting a petition imploring Disney to increase their edition sizes to 10000+, or attempt to ban sales of the dolls on ebay. I mean, not that the latter would ever happen, but can you even imagine the implications? Jesus Christ. If my disdain makes me a Disney villain, then hand me my staff and call me Jafar
Fucking normies
