So two Walmarts around here somehow, someway, got the Civil War wave, and put them out.

The preorders have been up since the beginning of the month.

There are a few places that still have preorders for the whole wave, but the only place I'm seeing Deadpool still on preorder as a single is cmdstore. He's $50.00 there, and he ships from Canada, so, you'll wait for him to clear customs even after the wave ships out to customers.

I think the last legends figure I pre-ordered from Amazon was pizza spidey, and he shipped a couple weeks before the date they listed. Legends in general operates on a whenever-its-out kind of schedule anyway though, so it could go either way.

I mean, I get it. He's not popular and anyone who doesn't know anything beyond the movie will think he's just some random dude but really he's the closest thing to a classic archnemesis to Deadpool. Simple as it was, I'm glad the movie even used him while updating his original cyborg design to look more modern while still keeping the general colors of his appearance (black and blue).

A: hate the joints they use. I see they used those terrible little double ball joints in the shoulder that are literally the WORST joint that revoltech makes. This was my biggest complaint with Ultron

B: I hate the plastic and paint they use. The plastic is too soft, and the paint chips easily.

I'm no hasbro fanboy, but I'm not gonna spend $60 on the revo with better options are on the horizon.

The joints are purposely designed the way they are for dynamic poses, otherwise, they couldn't pull off half the stuff shown. I agree on the paint chipping though, really my only beef with them. I don't think it's because of soft plastic though, figma uses the same kind and I've never seen them chip the same way.

I'll agree on those being weak structurally, but I really do like the actual design. I just think they don't hold up for for more weighty limbs, they were made for older revols that were decidedly smaller than the usual 1/12 stuff. Looking at the figures I own that use them, ultron and venom snake are huge compared to stuff like the lupin figures, and they're also only ones I've ever had that joint pop apart on.

Honestly if yamaguchi would just cool it with the retarded joint placement every once in a while I'd be 100% cool with revoltechs. The joints don't really look much worse than figmas, I like the sculpts, and the articulation really does make them fun to pose.

To be fair, I thought Ultron's joints were easy enough to tighten with the usual methods (shine or superglue depending on your choice).

Besides the initial floppiness, it was actually a smart way to go about doing his shoulders else you get the fucked up scenario like the Figuarts where it can barely move, due to unique Ultron's shoulder design in the first place.

yeah probably gonna skip the Marvel Legends version considering the preorder for him is sold out everywhere. Even loose. I was lucky enough to snag the figs from the new Spidey wave that I wanted from BBTS. Cable and Deadpool are pretty much all I want out of the X-Men wave. I already have an X-Men setup I'm happy with. But since the ML is so tough to find the Revo may be the way to go. Plus the Revo will probably be the better overall figure.

I know from personal experience. Not everywhere has the same saturation. I've been "waiting" for Winter Soldier Black Widow for 3 years. Haven't seen her once. I only saw Goblin wave Daredevil once, and he had a switched BAF piece, so I passed. Never saw it again. Never saw any of the Rocket Raccoon wave, or the Hit Monkey wave, outside of Hyperion.

My local stores barely supply MLs and the last ones on the shelves are literally just leftovers from the Terrax and Mandroid wave. The only way I can even get new MLs is through my LCS which scalps the fuck out of them. It's literally two-three figures worth cheaper for me to pre-order a whole set online.

My local store only have rejects like Finn Jakku, Mockingjay and Sharon Carter. My Target is still stuck with dozens of Misty Knights and nothing else.

I just got this perfect-if-his-articulation-wasn't-cut figure the other day because there are two TRUs in my area and i decided to go to the ghetto one because my brother wanted to get something in a grocery close by.
There's also a Target and WalMart two minutes away i normally dont go to, because there are 2 other Targets and 2 other WalMarts that are within 5 minutes of my home.
Within 15 minutes, there's about twice as many and a TRU Express.
20 minutes and i have over 10 options (only 2 TRUs still though).

Then there's all the comic book shops, Walgreens, Rosses, Marshals, TJ Maxxes.
I actually found this guy for $8 at a Ross the other day. Was he hard to find? didn't get him, because notmyvenom.

That whole base body is fucking garbage, add on the fact that the vest/shoulder pads were a cover piece just rendered most of the articulation useless. He can't do any dynamic poses, let alone hold guns properly.

I see it this way, domestic figures are sculpted in a neutral stance with articulation added after the fact, which is why they can look stiff sometimes when posed dynamically. Revos are probably sculpted almost the opposite, with dynamic posing in mind, and neutral stance as almost an after thought.

Those turtles are ugly af when standing still, but when posed are some of the most fun turtle figures out there. Like you said, pros and cons. It really comes down to what the individual wants. No point in arguing really, all kinda subjective.
