Decided to make that chinasaur with broken leg a part of sky pirates crew.
Funny how she's the only one who will be used with lego just because she was the worst of the bunch. But her defect makes her unique. I want to make a story for her and give her a name.

The old policeman hat in blue, head from the CMF series 7 evil knight (not a perfect fit but it looks suitably evil imo? Alternatively Orient Expedition had a generic evil Chinese grunt - pic related - whose head could work), torso from one of the soldiers from the 90s western theme (they already had white hands usually) or from a SW Bespin guard (I think there was more than one version but they always had similar uniforms), a blue cape?

Anyone have any tips for re-applying crooked stickers?

I got a bunch of used pieces from BL with the stickers sticking out over the surface they are supposed to be on, making it hard to place pieces next to it. And very small stickers placed almost diagonally across a piece that should've been horizontal.

I did some googling but i don't have a heatgun (wich is a shitty idea for durability i suspect anyway). I also didn't find resources on what glue might be not too agressive if the adhesive of the original stickers doesn't work anymore.
Is anyone experienced with any of this?

The Lego the ninjago movie sets, much like the other the lego movies will probably be scaled down to be more affordable. Just look at Emmet's constructo-mech in the movie vs the official set they produced.

Nexo is exactly the same as Chima, good figs but most of the builds suck. the battlesuits are miles better than speedors(sp?) though.

Ninjago is better than either of them when it's good (the green dragon from last summer, mechs) but when it's bad, it's nearly unsalvagable.

Not by a long shot. I'll have lots of Marvel and a few DC bootlegos. I just got a set of eight pairs of Nexo Knights with little robot companions. Also have some Ninjago with racing motorcycles. And of course I have the Romance of Three Kingdoms minifig set. Right now I'm waiting on a bunch of Tron-esque X-Agents stuff from Kazi.

I didn't like the neon green jungle stuff and the fire and ice stuff had some cool sets,but so many of them looked uniform. They should have stuck to the first style. Single-themed waves for a property tend to be the downfall of a lot of toy lines in general, so I've never really liked them. "Here's ___, but as neon recolors!"

I just looked it up on the wikipedia and I'm stealing this: "The proportions can vary from 15 to 35% acrylonitrile, 5 to 30% butadiene and 40 to 60% styrene." So that's a fair amount of wiggle room to make a product that isn't the same as TLG's. Obviously add ins are going to be an issue as well.

It's the character I have created to interact with kids on Lego workshops I do.
Kids love it because they never know what will happen next,

Wojtuś is also a race of creatures.
If you want to make your own you need that face (or any 1x2 brick face). Tthe name of your Wojtus needs to start on W (or V), and it needs to corespond to ONE POWER your Wojtuś has.

Man I watch a lot of shitty cartoons, watched all the Chima (For Cragger) And all I can say is they tried to make show for 4-6 y olds while 8+ theme. IMO is that what killed it. Too much sets was too hard for kiddos to apreciate.
Also too many Minifig repeats.

The show itself was a bore fest beside maybe like 6 eppisodes all toghether - Like always Lego shows are the best at ending episodes.

Thanks anon! I want to get a new set of legs/toros for him, the only elements I really want to keep are the wacky gun, head and helmet. Might have to make a backpack or something for him.

Also I got dimensions set 71216 because it was like $10 and I really wanted a Samurai Nya. I thought the samurai mech was lacking so I modded it to actually have moveable knees/elbows.It's a neat thing (now) but wow dimensions sets suck so hard. Even for $10 and really wanting the minifig I feel ripped off.

Hmm you're right, it does match this particular print of Eris (although I want one of the bluer prints. this is the dimensions version).

I really want the Eagle Interceptor version of Eris but that version is the most expensive for some reason... I'm a major nerd and really don't like bricklinking things in general but I'll probably have to. All my local second hand toy stores/thrift stores have "people they call" for lego which means all minifigures/valuable pieces/sets are pick before they hit shelves... I know that buying off bricklink supports those dickheads and it'd make me feel bad.

Yea, I personally due to space limitation can't really buy the sets, but at least I can collect the minifigs if anything. Then again I did buy most of the CCBS ultrabuilds which I beefed up later on.

More sigfig shit; decided to go full on with the sci-fi explorer type theme it previously hinted at!

-Added backpack with chain to gun. The antenna has a blue camera on it, it's the eye of his AI companion on his treks through the stars!

-Beefed up the gun and replaced sword. Decided to go with the silver, red and gold theme for it and everything else. Do you guys prefer this barrel to the previous one?

Thrown in a bonus pic of my working 8-shot battlesuit/mech super shotgun I like to call "lead wall". I can post details on the firing mechanism if you guys want.

I'd like to get a dark-red torso for him, especially a sci-fi- one, and to replace the hat-stud with a gold one. Definitely adding a open top gold stud to my bricklink wishlist.

Any torso recommendations?

Stud.io is ok but it is mostly for people to make it easier to add parts to Bricklink wanted lists. If you never plan on building anything IRL with the files just use CAD since its the most comprehensive.

Characters are, from right to left:
- Gordy, an AIRSHIP MECHANIC, and sigfig of yours truly
- Doctor Clark, a WORLD RENOWNED EXPLORER and professor
- Michelle, UNDERSTUDY TO THE PROFESSOR with exploring ambitions, and LOVE INTEREST to the mechanic
- Vincent, a powerful FOREIGN MERCENARY. His SKIN COLOR is a bit offputting to the others, but his strength is necessary for dealing with the SKY PIRATES that have been seen in this region as of late.

First order of business for this bunch, finding where they parked the LANDING VESSEL.

Gordy is using the compass on his MULTITOOL. Vincent would rather just BURN THE FOREST until they can see it after Doctor Clark points out that their landing vessel is also MADE OF WOOD. Vincent calms down.

To make the inevitable sushi pun in the movie.

The movie is separated from the show that had a mix of different villains from sneks to spoopy skeletons. The fish theme and costumes may look silly but to me it makes the movie more Super Sentai.

I like it. I'd maybe move the front wheels forward 1-2 studs but that's just me.

It's pretty simple and blocky, but that just makes it a great base for greebling and playing with the details. You could replace the three 2x3s in front with one of those big roof/hood pieces for example. Next variant 4x4 hood piece with curved slopes to the sides. and so on.

Vents are a nice start for greebling, but try making a little more elaborate detailing. It's a good start, but the sides are too bare. Even something like one of these between the Mixel towball plate and the angled vent on the leg can add a little interesting bulk.

Those are nice. Might try something similar to that rightmost with a few modifications. I prefer studded shelves to smooth since less risk of everything falling out. I made a smooth bookcase in a bedroom I built, designed for Lego books, but I had to make a little stopper to keep them from falling out.

That's what I waited for. I think I got it for $60, but didn't dare to wait for it to go lower. That turned out to be a good idea. Bought a bunch of green and sand green bits to replace the purple, and I think I want to order the parts to double up the greenhouse. I did the "waiting for sale" bit too much. I think something between 60-70 is the lowest I saw and hesitated too long. Sometimes I catch really good sales, sometimes I push my luck. I missed the changing seasons house because it was only 10% off and figured it would go more. It did when they put an additional 50% on ALL marked down items in toys (clearing out most of their Christmas stock to allow them to reset and rebuild their toy department) and I missed it. Still kicking myself, but I did get some Ultimate Nexos and battlepacks for dirt cheap to ease the pain.

This is probably TL;DR or blogging, but I guess we all have our own "waited too long" stories that leave us kicking ourselves.

I'd look into what your local computer/office stores offer as services. They can print on all types of stuff and it's pretty cheap overall. If you're really not sure, you can also "demo" printers at lots of techy places. Most new printers have a USB slot and can print from it. Buy yourself a pack of printable sticker paper, put the images on the USB stick, and go to the store. You can set the paper type on the fancy printers and then make several copies. Or don't. And that's how you make the employees of you're local office supply store think you're weird.

Technic is okay, it's good if you're more into the engineering side of Lego. Most people here are mostly into system and minifigs but don't let that stop you from posting some pics.

anyway that looks like a nice set. One nice thing about big technic sets is, people put together alternate models and sometimes publish instructions, so when you're tired of the official builds you've got options for something else. Dig around flickr and eurobricks to find them, some examples:

That set is actually on the rather high end as far as prices go. Not nearly the highest, but definitely in the top third of prices when viewing what is typically there.
It looks like a nice build though!
As an engineering student, I enjoy technic. It's nice the different functions that get put in (gear shifting, steering, engine movement, etc) that don't go into traditional sets. I don't enjoy rebuilding it as much, though. Less options that I can figure out that work well.

Some anon here mentioned how he thought the original red beetle was getting a bit out of hand and losing its original essence or the feel it was going for. I agreed. I was just kinda messing around seeing where it went for the most part.
But now i wanted to go back to the roots and make a more finalized and stock beetle (and the most amount of stock i'll allow myself is a sleeper ofcourse).

It was not only a real puzzle to find a rim/tire combination that looked sort of consistent front to back, actually implementing it was a real hassle too. I now have this weird off-set 5 wide axle setup, it rolls really well though.

The cockpit and roofline is morestretched than the original. Pif's automotive waifu always had a hard time to sit in the red one. But she can lean back comfortably in this one. So now they can race together i them.
I thought it was funny how the red one rakes forward pretty aggressively, while figures also have to sit on the edge of their seat to fit. The grey one on the other hand almost looks like the rear sags mirroring how figures can sit in it.

Other features are covered safety taillights(because i don't have transred 1x1 round tiles), a rare blue steeringwheel (because cracklink impulse-buys) and purple interior (a reference to the decos on the connectable car) with a forgotton piece of pizza in the back. (funghi surprise)

My GF don't care about my hobby because it's my money that it consumes and not hers. I have 2 Creator buildings in Lego and two retired in Lepin. I'm interested in building styles and techniques and building my own MOCs. (Hence buying lots on CL for sheer bulk brick.)

My wife is cool with my Lego habit. It used to be Transformers, but one day, the robots just didn't do it for me any more. That was the end of a dark age.

I mostly spend small amounts at a time (on BL or china bricks) so she's cool with it. She says I deserve it for working hard. Just wish working hard made me more money.

That was the same with me, though I started with more CCBS at first due to Hero Factory at the time. UI eventually found out you could make transformers with legos as well.

Not me. I went through a phase of trying to build transforming robots years ago. I just couldn't build anything I could be happy with, and I'm not a perfectionist.

Then again, Lego has always been more sculpture for me, not engineering.

The mech itself is just Battle Suit Aaron with some extra weight on the back to counter balance his massive shotgun. Pic related is a slightly better look at the firing mechanism. By depressing the bars you fire all 8 bullets at once.

Hey now that's an idea... Whipped this up quick based on that idea.

Also shot of the mechanism with the bullets ready to fire. I don't like leaving it sitting like that to preserve the springs.

I was thinking about that, I often like the studded look, but a car might benefit from being smoother.
Sadly some bits I can't smooth out, like the roof, as it would make it too thick.
