Galaxy Squad is a better example (off the top of my head) the minifgs all wear the same, but are colour coded in bright colours to indicate their roles.

I'm going to have this when I finally get the pieces from the goddamn Bricklink sellers to put together my Super Sentai group of Lego (TM) brand building toy product minifigs.

I don't display them all, I keep a lot of them in boxes and only take them out to play with. Once I have more space I might scatter more about.
Otherwise I just put them on my table or next to my sets/mocs. Sometimes I like posing them and putting them in silly scenes.

I'd think about doing this, but I don't actually have that many extra cool ones. I mean, not ones that are so cool they merit framing, which is basically what that is.

Just curious: Does yours have a glass or plexiglass dust cover, or is it just rows of very small shelves?

Added a back room to my theater and stuck a modified sandwich shop underneath. My city is shaping up. I like building the models per spec but I always modify them just days later. Thoughts??

White one seems to be fairly uncommon because no American sellers have it and it's about $2.50-$3.

Something seems fishy. I got out of the Japanese figure game for a while and now all the figures I used to buy are 30% to 50% more than they used to be.

Was the progression like:

>yen super devalues until it's 125 yen to a dollar
>figure prices raise to compensate
>yen gains a bunch of value back
>figure prices stay raised

? Or was there some other factor and I don't know how the economy works? How are you guys dealing with this? I can still afford the figures, but it feels rough.

I thought this image was apt considering Saitama is a regular sized human that seems to come with only one accessory that would have been 3500 yen 3 years ago.

That said, I don't know why he'd post that particular photo of it. It looks like chunks of it are missing. Like big engines off the sides and whatever that brown stuff is in the middle.

The fuselage feels way too short IMO. I'd extend it back some and have the wings start farther behind the cockpit. Maybe pull the engines in? And yeah, greeble it. Maybe have a green and red trans round stud at either wingtip?

It's a WIP, jeez. I've actually got most of the shell sections and engines assembled already, just missing some crucial connectors and I don't want to mount the engines before I get the 1x1 bricks w/vertical rod to attach some actuator greebles since it's a cramped fit.

That car has so many issues, mostly the wheels, but I still like it since it can thematically be considered the monster's anti-Ghostbuster version of Ecto-1. Which pretty much feels like something that would happen in the cartoon version.

Trying to make a decent looking Kaminoan, anyone have ideas for a torso? I've been looking through bricklink's catalogue for parts and have ordered a Spooky Girl's head for use as the head. Though I had nothing against it personally, I wouldn't mind them putting out more themes in the vein of monster fighters or Pharoahs quest, mainly themes that isn't the same "mash two things together" gimmick that ninjago already does well

I love the plastic wings a lot even though they are fragile (bricklinked 4 extra afterwards). The giant Lego bricks are neat. The giant ant is kinda fun, but the legs aren't that posable. The tiny(large) ants are really cute too.
Even though i'm not that big a fan of the figures perse the prints and moulds are really high quality. They also apparently got pretty expensive in the aftermarket for a while.
I liked it a lot for a very slight discount i got it for.

Maybe check out some of the Asajj ventress torsos that came out over the years. They have the same clean and rather muted colourschemes and materials sugested.

The 2-wide cross-axle rims of the same diameter makes for the deepest rims possible at this scale. The ridge sticking out because of the speedchamps tires doesn't bother me that much personally. Might even be a pair of those wacky jap tires they put on driftcars.
The more squared tires with ribbed profile that usually go on these look like they stick out too wide past the body for me and I really wanted slicks.

I found a huge lego city probably more than 10 years ago (2004-2007) on some brick site. Been searching for it ever since, on and off. It was truly sick. Generally speaking, if the design for the brick is only in one set, it'll be a sticker; if it's a multi-purpose design, it'll be a print. There are exceptions (mostly curves, like the FO TIE canopies), but this is a pretty strict guideline.

Also, my Walmart had the Walmart exclusive Joker Escape/Riddler Car box set marked down to $22.50. I'm digging Magpie.

All this talk of 8-wide cars, I guess I should show off my mostly 6-wide BTAS Batmobile I just completed.
It still counts as a 6-wide car, right? Or 8-wide? I tried keeping to the Speed Champions scale.
Still need to do some tweaking, waiting on some parts like silver rims, but it's mostly done, with a spacious interior and the cockpit even opens like i did in the show.
Thoughts?

Nexo ending after this next series could happen naturally, though. Feels like a theme is lucky if it makes it at least to a third limited run. I don't even know if the cartoon series matters. Chima had one and they enjoyed a similar run complete with lots of special series like Nexo has enjoyed with ultimates and now mechs. Meanwhile Freemakers are getting a second season but the first season only had two tie-in sets.

Ultra Agents made it to a limited third wave release which is more than, say, Galaxy Squad achieved. Or Alien Conquest, Space Police III, Pharaoh's Quest. It's nearly on par with what Atlantis got.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying they can't be cancelled due to bad sales. These things have their run and ultimately interest will waver. It's arguably why even big themes like Space and Castle and Pirates have been shelved, albeit temporarily, waiting until they can be released again and feel fresh.

I'm not really sure how long something like Nexo Knights was MEANT to run, but then I'm not sure how long something like Ninjago was. If I had to hazard a guess they run as long as they make money.

actually, there is. there were some clear beam-like pieces that came with the mini podracer sets, It was a 2X1 base, with a beam extending from the end of the side that was one wide that ended in a 1x1 section. I'd love some of those, except shorter and with the beam extending both ways from the 2X1 section. It would make a certain minifigure setup I had in mind so much easier to do, and be better looking too.

Castle, Space and Pirates all get reimagined in couple of years. But when the last pirates and castle too sold like ass, I can see why Lego tries something different. NK as a whole and then sky pirates in Ninjago were pretty big for a while, and some of NK could double as space sets

Okay, I found those. Looks like I'd have to buy them in ones or twos, each with several dollars' worth of other random stuff because of sellers' min buy requirements.

That's if it's want black or white. Light grey is really cheap from a UW seller with no min buy. I guess I can settle for that.

get yourself speedchamps style mudguards, light bluish gray fits this the best. You may also take the latest mercedes.

add the tire holder pieces and mudguards to the base, eye the proportions a bit.Then start building over that. Redo as necessary.

I suggest checking out some previous schamp stickers where you can cut some parts and reuse. The scale is too small to put many details in.

I would go for just a few handfuls of red transparent studs and 1x1 plates. Fire is also a fun one, but you might want something to stand them up on. I have about a snack sized ziplock full of fire and red studs that have always been enough.

Already had sky pirates, so can't do that. Space pirates is sort of obvious, with vary degrees in how piratey you want them to be.
Underwater pirates in a similar way to aquazone could be fun.

Just picked this up. Total weight 60+ pounds. Many city sets as this is what I build... but finding Harry Potter, Castle stuff, Train, pirates, agents, orient, prince of Persia, space police, Atlantis, etc. Already nearing 50 minifigs just going through the first third of the second largest box.

Glad I took the chance on this one. Not one non-Lego peice found yet. Smoke free and clean to boot. And to think 2 people passed on this deal before me.

Sometimes you just get really lucky.

Now I gotta stop buying and start sorting and get back to building.

Last year I saw a guy my age with a grade-school daughter (probably about 8-9) who wanted a Friends set but her dad kept insisting that it was lame.

I told him he shouldn't turn down her request for Legos because they aided brain development. Hearing that gave the kid renewed vigor for arguing.
