Lots of violence is censored in the US, just like sexuality is.
Shows like He-Man and Spiderman:TAS weren't allowed to show characters being punched, because violence am bad.
Yet, violence and sex still shows up in cartoons, and that's the way it's been since film was created.
It just depends on broadcaster and production company.
