Fucking insanity, I tell you what. You can get similarly sized 3P figures that are the same (or better) quality, for less. 3P's started out much higher priced, and are now officially cheaper, it's a fucking madhouse out here in Japan apparently.

I might be okay with it if they weren't riding the whole "super-cartoon-accurate" schtick right now. Especially since Megatron has shows they're getting back to absolute clusterfuck levels of transformation engineering in the name of accuracy. I suppose it's for the best, I've been more interested in the Takara Legends releases anyway. The Transformations on the retail stuff have been simple yet clever, and Takara adding Targetmasters and shit is fun on a bun.

MP Artfire is pretty fuckin' based, though. I suppose if he's my last, I'll be going out on a high note.

Heh, if they actually did a good job at sealing his paint then I wouldn't mind. I just know he's gonna be MP Grapple levels of "every time I look the other way there's a new paint chip" though. Yellow paint is a bitch.

The yellow is all off, it looks like the standard version rather than the concept camaro's more orange tinted yellow. It rmeinds me of my brother's Camaro; he bough one around 2009 but got the standard version, not the special Bee version,and it always looks a little off to me because of how used to movie Bee I am.

Rock on. I fucking loved the Beast Wars cartoon. Saw bits of it as a kid, and watched it 5 years ago or so with some friends all the way through. It's easily one of the best Transformers TV series, so much fun, but I just have no interest in organic animal Transformer toys, so I haven't bought any of the MPs yet.

Just preordered him. One of my most-anticipated figures of the year. He doesn't have the tampos of the Hasbro version, but what I've learned buying most of the TR molds twice is that Takara's superior quality wins out over Hasbro almost every time. Nonnef had some MP10 replacement eyes for sale but it looks like they're sold out again.

You may as well just take out the eye piece and paint over it with some dollar store acrylic paint or something if it bothers you enough to want to replace it. It would be cheaper that way anyway.

Prowl and Streak had different, animation inspired heads.

I'm a huge fan of the Smokescreen diaclone mold, because I had one before Transformers. Wasn't very happy with his MP's cartoon head, but it still felt 'diaclone' so it's bearable.

Sunstreaker is too far into the Sunbow end of the spectrum. Inferno at least included a toy-esque helmet that makes him a bit more compatible with the older releases.

Depends on the story and incarnation. I like the more idealistic classic take, but I don't mind IDW's tough space cop turned troubled leader approach.

Though it does seem to me that IDW goes a little far on making nearly every major character an asshole (among other problems), I don't mind IDW Optimus.

Take a good look at that comparison image. The cartoon and MPs are filled with differences that are evidently too subtle for you to grasp.

And I'm looking at my MP Inferno, screenshots of his animation model, and pictures of his g1 toy head. The helmet is fucking identical aside from the G1 toy having a patch of silver paint. The helmet is toy accurate and animation accurate because they are the same thing.

Previous masterpieces weren't identical to the toy or the cartoon. They were original designs that looked nice without being slaves to badly animated cartoons or aged toys, and they were better thanks to that.

If Optimus were toy or cartoon accurate his head crest would only have 3 sections and lack the blue outline. Also it would probably be painted a bland gray instead of silver.

Prime being Bruce Wayne was always sort of a misnomer brought out from the g1 toon where nobody ever got hurt or even hit with lasers, which made the g1 movie seem really out of place when he straight up murders Megatron after his last hurrah even if it was after immediately after like five autobot deaths.

So, when they were filming in Arizona there were those trf transport vehicles that were huge right! MAYBE in the junk yard attack or the abandoned area in Chicago the decepticons are captured. The Boulder Media Transformers show is under way. Hopefully it looks as good as the designs.

Optimus is full-on Brave. He combines with Rodimus and Lio Prime to form a super robot. Imagine Optimus Prime with a giant lion's head on his chest. Pure Brave design here!

Great take on Soundwave and his team too. They're combiners now. Imagine Soundwave with giant bat wings made from Ratbat. It's sick.

The McLaren is driven by Cogman. The Aston Martin is another body that Cogman uses,not so mcuh though.
Nitro os killed by Cogman and he uses his body.
Onslaught has some lines and then escapes,he has an plan for the future movies probably.
The dinobots are at the Junkyard.
Optimus and Megatron have like three fights if I remember,one in flashbacks,one in the center of Cybertron and on the surface. They are all great.
Megatron is great in this one,a lot of character development,compasion for his kind,he has a lot of lines and Welker is doing a great job.

It is true,the same for Topspin,Starscream and Lockdown. Topspin plays soccer in Cuba woth Simmons,Starscream's head is at the Junkyard,Megatron ha it in his hands,he was sad for him. Lockdown is mentioned and showed in flashbacks,when he met Quintessa.Shockwave appears in a flashback of Nitro. Funny thing,there is a bank robbery flashback of Dreadbot,he kills all the people,there are also flasbacks for Berserker,Mohawk and Barricade(on how he escaped from Chicago).

The movie is 2 hours and 28 minutes.
The third act is amazing,it's different by a lot. All the emotions,the fights are great too. There were some explosions though,but that's normal. In this one was a small number of explosions though.

Not so much,but Hoover Dam gets destroyed by Cybertron and the Omega Lock looks to have the same power as the Allspark. Also,Quintessa was working on a prototype of it. It's not used that much. Quintessa doesn't look to die but there is a post credit scene of her in that galaxy where Megatron looks at her and smiles. Pretty disturbing,I think that she dies off screen or is left for the sixth one.

So I've been avoiding the Titans Return figures as best I could because I think the headmaster gimmick is retarded as fuck (aside from characters who were OG Headmasters). I did, however, get Brainstorm, Krok, Gnaw, and Wheelie. Last week I bit the bullet and bought the Tokyo Toyshow Scourge because, fuck it, it's Scourge.

Now, unfortunately, my autism/OCD/whatever it is demands that I have a Titans Return team leader for my Autobots. All the Voyagers look really underwhelming to me, and I'm not going to even bother with TR Voyager Op because of the dumb ass stickers. Been looking at LG41 Leo Prime and he looks pretty cool (I've always been a fan of Lio Convoy anyway).

Any thoughts on this guy? I can get one for 50 bucks shipped and I'm not sure if it's worth it.

I have all of the legends headmaster releases and not a single one has scratched paint. Meanwhile when I look at Walmart or TRU I see Sixshots and Broadsides that have chipped paint IN THE BOX

I have one I got for $45. The lion mode is weak, Weirdwolf is a much better animal, and his space battleship is neat but essentially a plank that has less play value than Broadside's. But on the other hand, his robot mode looks absolutely fantastic and his headmaster has a beautiful paintjob.

Also, he comes with an extra gun, but there's nowhere to hold it in robot mode besides a peg on his back.

Steelbane has some lines in Cybertronian along with Stormreign/Dragonicus,the rest are mostly for background and fights. The knights(Stormreign,Dragonicus and other knights) form Dragonstorm,Anthony Hopkins character was great,he did sacrifice at the end to create an portal at Stonehenge to free Dragonstorm(the two knights and they combine with the other).
The quintessons look more organic,they were designers of the tranformers and scientists,now is only Quintessa left. The humour is good. Quintessa doesn't have any other faces. He was changed by Cade using some transformium.

Not so much on the Prime,just mentioned. To be explored in the sequels,it's more about knights of Cybertron.
TRF works for Megatron.
The horns,Quintessa didn't just want to activate Cybertron's battle mode,she also wanted to awaken someone...
There are many action scenes,my favorite ones are from the flashbacks and ending but they all look great. The hammer was used by Bee in the past too,Edmund has given Bee his hammer back.

We'll see the gimmicky toys for little kids kinda like what we have now. The Generations toys for the new show. will follow Power of the Primes and will essentially replace the need for Warrior scale figures for the kiddies.
