Aliexpress my dude. Just have to try and look close, as some of their "normal" baseplates....they arent the same thickness, they are like normal lego plates as opposed to thin baseplates.

The road ones seem like OG plates, though./

I would KILL for knockoffs of the black and green "space road" plates, or any of the raised ones. I had so many as a kid and possibly they are all lost (you know those big fuck off huge tupperwares that go on sale at like walmart and shit? the big 20 gals? I had like seven of those full of classic space and town.....ALL the monorails.....they were in a flood, and my dad might have tossed them ALL due to "water damage". Ordered by first electronic-driven Technic set!
holy shit i cant wait to get it. Usually i was "meh" about technic but only because it was mostly about wheeled cars.
This one has tracks and looks like a very good "starter kit" for modifications and upgrades.
I have a shit ton of plates and tiny neat details.
Cant wait to turn this into some kind of crazy Mad Max vehicle!

The logo is really snazzy and modern looking. Funnily enough i both checked out the graphicdesign board on a whim the other day and made some minifigs for made up spacetheme inspired by these.

The red ones are praetorian guards which have a knight design and the trooper are called executioner stormtroopers. Remember that the TLJ sets are just black boxes in the catalog to avoid spoilers...If I'm right.

Thats the real sad thing. He did know better. My family have always been hard core collectors of things of value. Sports trading cards, toys, we have a huge guitar collection (over 35 of them including an original kalamazoo michigan factory gibson les paul made in 1959 with all the OG paperwork, even the original receipt!) musical and sports memorabilia, shit like that.

Part of me believes he just didnt want to deal with storing it all in the basement of the condo he lives in after all the water damage was fixed, which is bullshit, that basement could have three fully equipped bondage dungeons with all the fixings installed into it. I could probably host a small concert in it if I wanted to. And even if that was the excuse, we have ANOTHER WHOLE FUCKING HOUSE he could have stored them in.

Im going to get my revenge though, ill be selling off a couple of the guitars to replace them, whether he likes it or not. Even if I HAVE to pay the 3 grand or whatever for one of the classic space monorails, they will be mine again.

I made this robot, with my old lego sets, most of them from FreeStyle, some Megablocks, Blue bioncles and a StarWars set from years ago, some sets have 20yo more or less.
Then decide to give fingers so I bought 2 sets of Red Creatures Lego Creator.
Im worried for the hip articulation, similar joints on my bionicles broke, some hint or suggest, Im thinking in bought another Bionicle or something, my robot deserves a better neck.

A mech I've been trying to make. Had to scrap the legs due to them being too skinny compared to the torso and having t-pieces for joints. Any suggestions of what to use for the legs? These are the best kinds of battlepacks. Before the bounty hunter battlepack the only way to get IG88 was the ucs super star destroyer. Who the fuck would prefer a bunch of literal faceless mooks over rare(however obscure) characters?

Power Miners failed because it stripped away everything great about Rock Raiders. It's nice to get some rarer guys in a cheap set but mostly I just prefer battle packs to be useful.
For rebels that means being able to swap heads and gear around to flesh out a ragtag group.
On the Imperial side uniformity is best. What's the use of AT-AT drivers and commanders without AT-ATs? Three Snowtroopers and a bridge officer would have worked better

I have enough backstory to make it fit as I made enough up as a kid. Earth stayed fairly lowtech while it got invaded by UFO a fair bit but insectoids shared their tech to help earth! I made up a team called the "Galaxian force" which was like power rangers but used the different color U.F.O and insectoid suits That kind of now is Galaxy squad.

I was quite imaginative as a kid trying to fit the different themes together.
Currently Blacktron gives table city trouble but galaxy squad will usually deal with them!

From an inside source: According to the popularity of sets like the Bounty Hunter Battle pack, Lego will most likely be releasing packs that are more or so "Character" packs than battle packs, with more actual characters rather than just the standard trooper variants. Minifigures are a huge selling point with Lego, so I think if they move forth with this idea, it will definitely be a hit.They also changed the realease of battle packs,2 for winter and 2 for the summer waves.

Ever since Lego started using technic to do heavy structural work on larger sets, they kinda lost something. Like it shouldn't be a fucking hassle to take a set apart. And I feel like most kids aren't really excited about using a bunch of technic parts to make something unless they're a wannabe engineer that makes gun replicas for youtube videos.

Tbh, they were miners. Safety and all that. Need high visibility coloring in the mines. I can't say I loved it, but it was a modern mining thing, as opposed to Rock Raiders which had more of a gold-rush, prospector aesthetic

Though the MOC itself feels a tall and squished together. Is it minifig scale? If you're really trying to match the image you should note the patterns in the architecture and note important elements you need to copy in order for it to look like the source. You're missing a lower skull section thing between each of the pillars, so it doesn't match the pattern in the image. And also I would use a large inverted slope piece between the pillars
When building something like this, I would start off by designing a section of it first, like pic related. Starting from a element with pretty known sizes also helps you keep a consistent scale.

Galidor was a CCBS series and had to compete with bionicle. It wasn't even a great CCBS, it was just figures with arms you could change.

Nexo is more building, less action figures. Kids want Lego they can build, not action figures of characters that were only just then getting introduced.

I really enjoyed getting multiples of that lotr uruk'hai attack set, and the croc set, to make armies of bad guys.

Having said that, Eomir was my favorite minifig, not the four uruk'hai, and the croc packs were to fill ranks in a lego-based game, so chances are good collectors would prefer rare characters to board-fillers.
