Any tips?

I was thinking of running dungeons similar to how FunTron has been going, set on top of a whiteboard, drawing things like water and trees and roads. Is this idea dumb?

What you showed looks like overworld, what do you use for combat and dungeons?

Growing up in the 80s and 90s i always assumed lego was a toy for poor kids. I despised lego because it was a toy i had to put together and it didnt even look good. How lame is that? The toy isnt even put together! It wasnt cool like other toys that didnt look like a bunch of blocks. Thankfully i wasnt on the spectrum.

The big thing to remember as a DM is minitures are NOT the characters! Only to assist with fight mechanics!
If you give a minifig a katana, thats HOW it will look to the player. If you let them imagine a katana they will have their own idea and so will you! Letting players use imagination helps!

I think even a minifig sized katana doesn't DESCRIBE a katana, it just represents it. It's a symbol. Just look at all how lego fanart completely interprets the small amount of info present on a minifig.

Maybe newer minifigs break this connection by adding more detail, who knows.

I started with the cockpit and spent quite a bit of time on it, so I'm probably gonna keep it the same. Curved wings wasn't my original intention, so if anything, I'll be changing them to fit the angular style later on. I just had the parts and they came together really easily, so I thought I'd try it.

That torso is still my fav policesuit.
I use them alongside the similar looking 80's ones, but those are for lady cops. I imagine them being cool leather wearing cops much like Terminal city ricochet's front-line biker cops or whatever they were called there.
The general outfits of my force use mostly plain white helmets and smoky/transblack visors.

I have sort of related thing here.
I've lost all my inspiration to finish any current moc, and haven't touched lego for quite some time, but dismantling black knight's mech and making another version of modded king's mech suddenly seemed like a good idea. Did what I can with parts I have for now, but might pick somethig tommorow to continue.
While swapping some parts between them finally made the pauldrons not just good, but PERFECT. I mean, shape stayed the same, but the way they can follow sholders without fucking falling off is just doing it for me. I'm so happy with them, I feel like i'ts the ultimate thing I can build from lego ever.

Ghost Costume Guy could have a funny ghost-themed t-shirt print on his torso that's not visible in promo images.

I've actually come up with CMF-style descriptive text for most of these characters. Bug Suit Kid is like reverse Skeleton Guy because he doesn't see the problem with hanging out in Monster Town all year round. Zombie Cowboy is actually just a guy who went to a costume party and accidentally became a zombie.

I have heard from a LEGO rep, that this year as a company they will have a release of sets in December, that are being classified as a December release and not just January sets that happen to get to market early. Apparently this is a new strategy for LEGO and this is their first year of bringing new products to the market as a scheduled December release.
Also,in december we get 4 TLJ sets(normal) and one Sandspeeder(seen in the trailer) UCS.

Those are the old Revenge of the Sith clone helmets from 2005. The one on the right is a basic trooper, and the one on the left is one of the senate guards you see with Palpatine towards the end of the movie. Like the old Boba Fett helmet, it needs to have a black head underneath for it to look right.

Thinking about getting this + Bounty Hunter battlepack until TLJ sets are released.

Vader Transformation seems okay to me as a display piece. The bounty hunter bike is pretty meh (like most battlepack vehicles) but are the figures worth the price?

There's actually a reason for that. (Not a GOOD reason, but still...) If an item is deleted, so the store won't get any more, and if it doesn't have a home on shelves, then it typically goes to the clearance aisle. Of course, at my store, they've clearanced out a bunch of the Lego aisle, even though we're not getting the next wave for a while, so there are big holes where the Batmobile and some of the Ninjago stuff was.

Damn, I wish I had some dollars.

Pretty much finished. Not too happy with the missile pod, on account of it being the same size as the body, but it turned out okay. I feel as if coloring it is going to be a pain in the ass.

the collar is differnt and doesn't have the diamond shaped pendant of Shiggydoo, so the body has to be a completely different mould.
Probably uses the same neck connection system though.

I loved scooby as a kid but wasn't such a fan of the head being normal on one side and scared with chittery teeth on the other.

I'm probably an AFOL because when I was three my parents realized I was pocketing Legos from the babysitter to take home and play with them there and didn't realize there was anything wrong with that action. I was thinking about this last night; maybe it's just coincidence, or maybe that's when my mom got a better job so they had disposable income to spend on toys for me, but either way I started getting my own new sets from the store after that.

Somehow 95+% of my collection made it through all the visits from my nieces, nephews, and assorted other children intact for me to recover at the age of 26. I'm almost positive that the sails for my 6274 Caribbean Clipper are in a manila envelope pressed between two magazines somewhere in their basement.

Ive been renovating each of the floors and started to neatly redo the panels that stitch together the top floors plates (which in all modulars is a bitch to do)

Alight so I ordered some stuff from someone on BL back on the 28th of May. They sent out an invoice the next day and I payed it.
The order finally arrived on the 22nd of June, but when I opened it I found that it was missing a minifig. I contacted the seller about this the same day.
The following day (23rd of June) I got a reply asking if the package was damaged and if I could send a picture of said packaging. On the 26th of June I emailed photos of the packaging to the email address I found on their BL contact page and then sent a message to them on BL. Or at least I thought I sent a message on BL. Turns out that I must have closed that window before it sent or only hit preview or something, because the message didn't go through and I didn't realize this until the 5th of July. So I messaged them again and that went through.

It's now the 15th of July. (10 days after I last contacted them. 23 days after I first contacted them. 48 days after I ordered.). The store is currently closed, with a note up saying that they'll reopen in early July.

Should I continue to wait, or should I cut my loses, mark the order as complete and then leave them neutral feedback.

im sorry bu that IS an american pop culture right now.
Its not the 90s when american pop culture was cool (its why i learned english and had most interest in USA back then).
Now its all about sensitive people doing comfy think and thinking about food.

I sometimes visit art friends channel and goddamit - all the talk sometimes is food.
They discuss food, like its a TV-show or a movie. They discuss flavors and types and colors of one particular food and it can go for long. That beyond my understanding.

Even in cartoons food is one of the key targets - random colorful sweets/drinks and stuff like that.
And then they surprised why they called "~fats".

To be fair, discussing food like its entertainment is not a wholly american thing. I have seen just as many people from the other side of the world doing that shit. That I would say can be blamed on shit like social media and the phenomenon of everyone having to post a fucking "food selfie" of every god damned meal they have, and thats not just a young people thing either. My GF, who is just under twice my age was doing that shit from the first time I met her almost 8 years ago. She doesnt do it as much now (especially since I bant at her about it when she does do it), but still.

Couple of threads back I posted my Imperial armored staff car that I made out of a couple of hover tanks.
I recently got my hands on a Battle for Scarif set and turned it into a type of docking thing to go with the armored car.

the TRUE reason people obsess over "comfy" in LEGO SPECIFICALLY is because older Lego sets, especially City ones, were simply depictions of everyday life, no conflict, no stress. Nowadays every set has to have an "adventure in a box" so that Police sets always have crooks to catch, Coastguard always have people to rescue, etc. It's not necessarily a bad thing one way or the other. But it is a shift from the style of sets some people are nostalgic for.
