d-do you play with your transformers? Or just posing them?
I mainly buying them for not only collection but playing purposes. If they look like no fun to play with i wont buy it.

I cant imagine how fun it will be to play with Fortress Maximus when i get him. I will pretend like somebody attached him and using his agility skills to run/climb around Maximus and big ol'M. tries to catch him with his slow-moving arms.

And then that character will climb to his shoulder and say something "anime smug face jpg" and Fortress will try to kill it like fly but just hit his empty shoulder because that character will be too fast for that move.

i know its autistic but hey its also fun

playing = making a situation for characters and making them act through this situation

Examples:

Situation: To make it from point A to point B.
Character: Car
Act: Making car to reach point B.

Situation: To defeat a giant
Characters: Fortress Maximus and Blurr
Act: Help Blurr to climb Fortress, reach last point which will be shoulder and attack Fortress head

Posing toys is posing. Not playing.

I play with my figures when the misses isn't home, but only for like 5 mins, can't go for hours like I did when I was a child. It's usually always a highway chase or a rush out of a blowing up spaceship.

Guys, I really want this repaint for MP Sunstreaker. It would go perfectly with Clampdown. If they make it an Autobot, I can pretend they're a good cop/bad cop duo, and if they make it a Decepticon I can pretend they're brothers, only one of them defected when he realized the only way to truly enforce the law was through tyranny.

Also I hope they give the Diaclone repaints better heads. Actually, I hope they still fucking DO Diaclone repaints. The last one was Delta Magnus a year ago, and we haven't seen an announcement. I wonder if the sales haven't been good enough...

The backpack is surprisingly unobtrusive. It's the arm kibble that kills it. I've considered hinging the big wings so they can angle back some just to slim him silhouette and attaching the nosecone kibble to the back so it can rotate up and not be on his arms. It would be complicated, but doable. His core bot mode just looks so sleek that he still have a spot in my heart.

Don't know if this has been posted yet, but apparently that Arcee headmaster is going to be a hascon exclusive. Her headmaster is Ultra Magnus, and the whole thing is just a repainted Blurr. Also there's a working usb charger that transforms in Optimus, which is kind of cool.

There's the CW Wheeljack, the Generations Wheeljack, and the MP Wheeljack. Not sure how much each goes for these days, but the Gen was kind of dwarfish, the CW wasn't that accurate in robot mode, and the MP is expensive (unless you go for the KO, which tends to go for 30).

Be careful with his legs, though. One anon here had the screw that holds his hip joint strip out, and his hip ratchets are pretty tough to move, so just be cautious not to use excessive strength and you should be fine.

It depends what you mean by "revive Beast Wars". If the idea is to bring back beastformers, then animated would've eventually gotten there if a transformers show was allowed to last more than three seasons. If you're actually trying to bring the ideas back to the toyline, then Beast Wars in generations would be a good step (but the new Primal is pretty much all you're gonna be getting from Warden)

My idea was a bit based on the Japanese continuity (but still easy to adapt over here). The main Maximal cast have a Journey to the west motif, while the main Predacons are based on Legendary creatures. Show has the cast jumping from planet to planet.

Explanation for Beast modes is that on long journeys, they're more energy efficient, and allow them to use alternate sources for energy, allowing them to use Energon only when necessary.

ROTF/HFTD/RTS still sticks out to me as one of the best eras for the toyline. The cheapening still hadn't happened, and they were so willing to try out bizarre new ideas like adaptations of the Animated characters or radical reinterpretations of characters like Banzaitron or Seaspray. I think the aesthetic of that time is why I'm so cool on the simplistic appearance of the modern generations, even when they're still doing clever stuff like Triggerhappy.

Finally got my Defensor today, motherfucker's a bitch to transform. Hot Spot's a cool figure but those ratchet joints on his legs are awful. Really, all of these guys are better off as cars, but they're good to decent in individual robot form.

Finally got my hands on Twinferno. Robot mode is better than expected even with the dragon-hands, but what's with his altmode's hips? I get how they're supposed to peg in but they refuse.
Also found Getaway, who's white.

I actually have a bunch of family comin over tomorrow, including a few nephews. I just finished setting up a display with most of my Marvel Legends and Combiner Wars figures for my younger nephew to play around with while I organized my Nerf arsenal so I can have a mini-war with my older nephews (the older ones being mid-late 20s). While I do have a lot of figures I won't let little kids play with, the majority of my collection is TFs and such which I have no problem getting played with.

Define "cheap". Theres literally Optimus' ranged from like $15 to over 1k depending on what kind of quality you're looking for.
