It's kind of baffling they saw these guys and went "let's wait for later" when the TR voyagers where triple changing headmasters. At least releasing the movie cast made sense since it was the anniversary, even if that took away spots for the HM Jrs.

I agree, but I get why they do it. It's easier to reuse tooling, and make the line this way, than release stuff in parts through out multiple lines, because if for some reason we get another huge budget slash like we did in FOC, there's no fucking way they'll be able to use any of the shit they had the year before since the new budget won't allow it.

Because it feels like a few of the voyagers were meant to not be headmasters, like Megatron/Blitzwing, Galvatron and Broadside (who can be deheadmastered if you carve a hole in the nosecone)

we're likely getting one, and that would tell people right now, its not that pair, or any other "Pair"
The only PotP decepticon leader I can see happening is a Megatron or a Thunderwing

Galvatron and Alpha Trion were not designed as triple changers. Those designs were added later. They designed both of them before they had fully decided what TR would be, then had to make changes.
Which is why both of them have major compromises to their alt modes that other voyagers didn't

Alpha was only meant to turn into a robot, lion, and maybe a torso (it never got that far). The lion mode is heavily compromised due to the ship mode that was never intended in the first place.

Also, a bit of preliminary promo art had characters released in CW (looking like their G1 cartoon models with slightly more detail), plus Alpha Trion in his lion body.

No, it's not stupid. These toy lines are primarily for the kids, not us, keep in mind. Yes, even the Generations lines. And parents won't usually buy their kid(s) the full sets, especially when the parents are poorfags. Kids have to mix & match by necessity. If every figure released in that year has the same gimmick, it'll make those play features a lot more accessible to kids.

Takara gets away with mixing it up because all of their combiners come in gift sets. Hasbro is for poorfags, so all of them being in giftsets wouldn't make any sense.

Galvatron's spaceship kibble is literally JUST a nosecone and tiny fins on his arms
everything else is just his regular alt mode slightly folded differently. His jet mode even still has his tank treads sticking out.
The original concept sketch for his robot mode AND his canon mode had none of the jet parts.
Not to mention no sign of the headmaster gimmick

parents don't like their kids getting online to buy stuff. And the parents often don't have the time to find it for them. That's why christmas is always a change of pace, with kids making lists and finding where to buy them and giving them to their parents. That's not normal, it only happens cause the kids know it's christmas time, and they'll get a lot of presents and don't want repeats.

Most kids who buy transformers are buying them with birthday money, or for some other random event. They want to buy their toy that day, not get online and buy the exact one that'll work and then wait a week (maybe a month, if on back order) so they can finally get... a leg.

Hero Mashers make BANK for a reason, anon. Kids love mix and match cause kids lose stuff.

two threads ago this guy requested an arcee prime, and I decided I wanted to try and make one.
I wanted to make it as functional as possible, so I could make a custom of it.
Right now though, that seems fairly hard to do.
I decided to ask advice before I got past the initial sketching phases
I designed it without a particular set of toys in mind, and now it seems like the only solution will be to wait until moonracer is released (and basically stack the top of the car on top of her alt mode)
But I might be able to pull it off with generations nightbeat/goldbug/bumblebee or skids
What do you all think? Did I dream the impossible dream and should stick to drawing?
Or is making a custom of anything close to this actually possible?

I reckon this new leader would be helped with some paint around the grey section around the chest, while it forms part of the trailer surely painting the half that unfolds into the chest could make it better, and if takara is generous, some covers to cover the arms in truck mode

But considering how the central figure is orion pax left field redeco's are out of the question unless they release him again and do some horribly fucked up ultra magnus homage with the orion figure done up in armored up magnus colors and the leader mode done in white prime colors.

Those were a while ago. Most of CW and all of TR, the Takara versions have been pretty strictly cartoon colored, for better or for worse.

So, I've been thinking about applying some water slide decals that have been leftover from Gundams and airplane model kits to TR Fortress Maximus (as in, the "Air-Force-Ish" ones, with military inscriptions and such like pic related), could that work to compensate for the lack of detail in most of his parts? 1 - The knights subplot with Merlin and a adventure.
2 - Primes corruption and add in that for him fighting to seek 'redemption'
3 - The autobots plot with them in hiding eventually leading to the Martha scene

God, I remember having Bonecrusher as a kid, thinking he was basically the coolest Deluxe toy around, and then suddenly losing him after my parents moved some stuff from the attic and back. I honestly do not miss this era of Transformer. Some were nice, but a lot of them were fiddly as fuck. Like they were aspiring to make an MP-level transformation, but ran out of budget halfway and the result is a ton of kibble and fiddly bits everywhere. I busted out my old Generations Kup last night, and the floating shoulders and crippling kibble really made it less fun than I remember. If I want nice articulation and transformation, I'll go for MP or 3Ps that can do it right with a higher budget. I prefer retail stuff to be simple and fun. Those older figures are kind of this in-between place that serves no purpose in my collection anymore.

ROTF Thrust is one that subverts this, although I swear he's probably one of the least armed Decepticons in the history of the franchise, as he's only got a single gatling cannon in Robot mode(and it's pretty puny), and is completely unarmed in his jet mode(which makes him pretty unique by Decepticon Jet standards)

Personally, I'm a fan of appropriately colored plastic with paint being used for details.

See: MP-10 or MP Starsaber. Guy's mostly a solid hunk of plastic molded in the correct colors, with minimal paint for details and such. That to me, makes a figure pop.

Looks like the leaders have sacrifice and atmode or robotmode, Rodimus has 2 nice altmodes and a pretty nice deluxe with an underwhelming leader bot, Primal seems to have 2 decent botmodes and the leader has 2 ok-ish altmodes, but the deluxe tursn into a plank, Optimus loose twice because his robotmodes share the same altmode.

I stopped following the comics a while ago.

One, they stopped discounting them after a week in Comixology. I'm not paying $4-$5 for a comic, sorry.

Two, it started to get stupid complicated again. When there were two series (RiD and MtMtE) it was easy, two series, once every couple of weeks. then they started with the spin offs and cross overs and event crap again so I stopped caring.

The second is 100% of the reason I really have never read comics in general though I love super heroes. I want things to feel a little more self contained, not require reading 50 issues to know the references made in every panel.

Unless there are something wrong with the main pins (the ones that connect the feel to the legs and give the forward and backward movement to the feet), you should stand the figure just fine.

Just make sure that you don't pull the feet all the way to the front, you should instead have the feet tilted a bit inward (push them in following the arrow) so the center of the feet is in line with the center of mass of the body.

if anything, PE should come up with a clip to hold the red heel in place instead of the latest silly weapons pack.
