How many of your Bricklink orders have had issues? Four out of 13 for me. Three were missing pieces and one had a chewed up toroso that was stated as new.

Even if I don't have my legos with me right now, it doesn't means I shouldn't be able to play with them. Sure, I wouldn't be able to roll it on the carpet, but building shit was always the best part anyway.

I took the first set I ever had and souped it up a bit. Now it can be turned into much bigger and meaner hot-rod, or used as cab for old-timey or postapoc big rig. I planned to make it yellow instead of red, but I forgot that i don't actually have yellow doors (but I can make it fully black, it looks straight out of Mad Max that way).

I got pic related,10 year old set factory fucking sealed,won an auction for it on ebay for total 40$ with shipping (retail price for this set was 50$).Seller was nice he even gift wrapped it.I've only opened it to check inside.Lucky win for me although I did kind of cheat with my auction sniping tool.

If all you want is the modular city set, and you have the money to throw at it, then go for it. It's an impressive set, visually, physically, and build-wise. I've never seen the show, and only have a few other sets because ~sky pirates~. Even if you don't see the movie, the set is still spectacular. Definitely worth the cost.

I had oly one order so far, and it had an issue, I posted about in few threads ago. There were missed pieces, wrong colored pieces, chink bricks, dirt, all that shit. It wasn't much, compared to the size of the order, bot in money and parts, and seller actually refunded missing stuff, but still... All the shit took almost 20 days, even though we are in the same city, so there wasn't any delivery time at all.

Honestly if it wasn't for the unused concept art with necron, ork and khorne csm expies i'd assume they just decided WWI vehicles are detached enough from modern conflicts to be acceptable as inspiration for sets, but since there are clearly multiple people at Lego who like 40k there's no way this doesn't look like a land raider/rhino on purpose.

I know the Mini Cooper scaled and seated either figmas or revoltechs well. Not so sure about the relative scale of the beetle. (The mini is a smaller car irl, so the bigger beetle would probably be not 1-1 in scale with eachother for pricing reasons)

Sorry guys, I've talked with a lawer friend of me. He asked if I'm a special kind of stupid, and forbid me "for my own safety" to post any more. Don't use Brasso, use an eraser that crumbles. I've found that Brasso is only necessary for some prints, but a CMF shouldn't have any problems being edited with an eraser. You want to use a crumbly eraser, not a vinyl one. You can buy a pack of replacement erasers for mechanical pencils at any stationary store. The bad vinyl erasers have a noticeable series of concentric rings on the tips. They tend to fray instead of crumbling, and generally don't work at all. The crumbling erasers are rough, not slick.

Start by removing the arms so you just have the torso piece.

Put a piece of tape over it where the red section indicates. You might wish to touch the surface of the tape with your fingers several times to remove most of the adhesive from it; otherwise, you might accidentally pull off part of the printing you want to keep when you remove the tape. You want just enough adhesive that the edge won't come unstuck while you're rubbing it with the eraser.

This will also remove the pectoral printing under the saw graphic, so you'll probably want to use a second piece of tape to remove the pec from the other side afterward.

I don't actually think Doctor Who would make for very good sets anyway. I'd love more figs of monsters like Sontarans, Silurians but there aren't many recognisable cool "setpieces" like with other licenses

Shiptember will forever be an enigma to me. People make ships out of thousands and thousands of pieces yet there's almost never anything impressive about them other than the fact that they're just really big.

Like, seriously, it's just a great big fucking box on a set of treads. The most technically impressive part of the build is the antialiasing on the number '2'. If it weren't for the yellow and purple I'd probably mistake it for a star wars set.

Back from the Ninjago Movie. It was very entertaining, but suffered from its attempts to also be serious and morally edifying. Easily the worst story of the three Lego movies, but roughly maintains the standards for comedy and general fun.

There's a large crab mech as part of the Aquatic Army that was featured quite a few times at the beginning and the end (at least as much or if not more than the Jelly Sub, for example), so I'm betting that'll be a set. I'm also betting that Jay may be included, as his he and his jet were the vehicle's main opponents as far as what was shown.

The other obvious inclusion is the ramshackle flying helicopter the ninja built as they escaped the melted generals. This one's a bit iffier as it doesn't really have that "cool" factor everything else has (because it's supposed to look hastily thrown together), but I can see it being a set.

The last major vehicle is the school bus, featured several times both when transporting kids to school and while Garmadon attacks. This probably has the lowest chance of being released, as it's a civilian vehicle, but hey: a man can dream.

Other than some blink-and-you'll-miss-it shark jets and submarines, I can't really think of anything notable for a third wave. Then again, The Lego Batman Movie has the freaking Bat-Rocket as a set, which was literally just a background set piece in the movie for 2-3 seconds, so you never really know.

I also hope for a Lord Garmadon VS. Lady Iron Dragon set, just to get some TLNM Skullkin and Serpentine. It could have some rock features, baby L-loyd, and maybe even their incarnations from the "Just Married scene" on the motorbike.

As the builder of this thing, I'd like to remind you that you missed a couple of spots, namely:

- Proportions. For one, the command tower is way too high and wide. Also, it sits way too high on its tracks. This looks like a kid's toy.
- Likeness. The baserunner's wheels are too tiny, and bears only a small likeness to the real thing. The carrier itself doesn't even look remotely like its inspiration.
- Detail. For something this big, a little more greebles wouldn't go amiss. Instead, it's all flat surfaces and 8x16 tiles.
- What's with the purple colouring? At some points it looks like a geometric design, and at other points it's just vague camouflage-like blobs. Pick one and stick with it, dude.
-In the video, the sky replacement is amateurish at best. The color correction is both over the top and inconsistent between shots. Any shots that work have been cribbed whole cloth from the game's cutscenes.
-Basic youtube library music? Bo-ring.
-Homeworld? Really? That shit was old ten years ago.
-Cute furry animal in the video? Does this asshole think he's Sariel or something?

And another thing you missed:

A twelve-year-old who posts their ten-piece bionicle fursona contributes more to the hobby than you do. Building mediocre or even bad stuff is how you get better at it. We're out there having fun, while you're being a whiny sack of shit.

I agree with the sentiment that some people make projects that are more impressive because of the size and parts-count moreso than clever techniques. Part of what i like of lego is using neat and unconventional techniques with just a bunch of pieces. And that everybody else can rather easily then build it for themselves with their own collection. The latter can't really be done when the main point of your build is using thousands and thousands of pieces to make, albeit impressive looking, repeatingmodules and abstract or basic shapes.

In the end these are just some ways to apreciate a build. Sometimes i love the wow experience of a scene, diorama or ship, and size can attribute to that. Sometimes i like the (power) functionality of it the most. Most of all i like relatively smaller and nicely minifig scaled builds that make a lively scene. Something that doesn't always show on pictures (why i don't follow many masterbuilder types of flickr who don't care) is structural stability too.
I like Lego as a toy. It has to be atleast stable enough to comfortable handle a build or vroom and swoosh your cars, robots and spaceships around. (again something that can't be done that much with fuckhueg spaceships, but i get the appeal of more slow behemoth vehicles)

I personally like the yellow and purple thing for the Anti-aliasing, the many little sub-vehicles and derelict ships around it wich add to the world around it and the "in-scale experience" of the size. Finally, despite being a fuck-huge behemoth, it looks fun to play around with because of all the remotecontrolled powerfunctions.

I sort of agree with you. My brother rolled his eyes at it and was slightly bored annoyed at this when seeing TLBM. But for a silly movie whose story is ultimately directed to kids as an excuse for sily jokes and banter i thought it was really cute. The fact that full egomaniac mode the motherfucking batman had this epiphany unironically was pretty funny as a joke in itself as well.
