When I was young I took the tubing from the old mars alien sets and tried to fuck it. That was the same night where I learned how to jerk by accidentally rubbing my penis to much while I was sitting on the toliet. I still remember the rough feeling of that orange piece of tubing.

I never knew how much of a giant step I took by trying to fuck a piece of Lego on my first night jerking off. Guess I've always had a soft spot for Lego ever since I could remember. Just felt like sharing that I lost my virginity at a young age to the klocki.

I usually try to keep her away from my Lego (most of which is in a glass case), but she likes to mess other things up from time to time. How are your lego displayed?
I need to get something to display my own lego but don't know what to do
Thinking about a glass case, but I kind of like being able to mess with my set ups when ever I want, I'm also worried it'll look out of place in my apartment
Or I'm thinking of just a large table and finally making a big city set up

its pretty true, though mackerel tabbies are apparently a thing. they got an "M" on their forehead, like "Majin-cat".

Ive lost two building buddies in the space of a few months, and now my last one isnt doing good. Hopefully getting a Sphynx soon though, so theres some hope to keep the cat legacy going.

He got UCS Sandcrawler once. He didn't have room for it on shelves so he put it on floor for the time being, next to a desk one of the cats likes to sit on. One day he found out the crawler had completely fallen apart.

I was fiddling around with my Lego at my desk one day, when I heard my washing machine chime to alert me that it was finished.
I got up, got the washing, hung it out and came back inside.
I was gone maby 5 minutes.

I came back to find my Lego scattered around my desk. I checked it over and found that the only thing missing was a little warhammer I'd built. I looked around and found most of the parts on the floor in the lounge room, chewed up.
The only piece I didn't find there was one of the 1x1 gold pyramid pieces.
A few days later while cleaning out my cats litter try, well I'll give you 3 guess what I found.

I've thought about picking it up many times, now. I've been losing interest in lego over the past year, mostly because I don't have the money or space for more lego, but I might have to give that sucker a go, it just looks too awesome.

I also really like pic-related, or the yellow sea plane one I've seen. I think they're all in the same price bracket or so. I really can't decide, but I'm leaning towards the shuttle because my first ever big lego set was a shuttle from the early '90s.

The set in your pic is $10-15 iirc and the sea plane is 30 ish

I also have a rag sock that I put over the vacuum hose and run it over my build table when I vacuum to pick up the stray hair and dander that floats up to the table. Works pretty well as long as you consistently do it every week.

The adult market is a relatively recent market.
I personally could do without a lot of licensed stuff driving up the price of pieces i'd like out of their licensed set context. But big sets don't bother me.
I would like to see more concentrated cheaper/midrange sets that have mostly bricks towards one build and maybe a figure or two. Instead of wanting to have a conflict or two sides in a single set. That way kids can pick and choose what they want and get more bang they specifically want for their buck. This is mostly a minor nitpick though.

These My Blox waifigs make great mortars because the hair is the piece with the peg and the head is just an open tube.

stretched the car 1 stud make the hood close. opening it requires a small disassembly the 2x4 plates connect to the studs on the fenders.

Yeah, I looked it up earlier. With the sea plane, you get like 380 pieces for 30 bucks or less, in most stores. If it were a regular set or a licensed set, it would be $40+, easily.

I ended up going for the shuttle, though. Might pick up the plane in a while if the price ever drops. Do creator sets go on sale more than regular Lego? I imagine kids are clamoring far less for a generic plane they they are for a Spider-Man or a Star War.

Lego sales are basically random. You might get star wars or super hero sales to tie in with movies. In my experience licensed stuff gets put on clearance more often because there is just more of it in stores.

Just saw Lego movie.
Here are my thoughts (SPOILERS)

Jeezus, I'm old. I remember Lego Island being the one game I would always boot up on my gram's PC when I'd sleep over her house. Never got tired of it. Still my favorite Lego game of all time just because of the free-roaming and overall comfiness it had. It was like going and visiting old friends every time I'd play again. I wish Lego would do an anniversary set but I know it'll never happen.

While I'm at it I'll post my progress on my pizzeria. Dimensions are severely downsized to allow the thing to fit in a shadowbox frame but I managed to keep all the important details so I'm fine with it.

Create a square jig from two pieces of straight wood. Place sand paper on one side so you can sand that down at 90 degrees. Place a 1 stud piece on top so you know when you sand to the right thickness. When you get close to thickness choose a finer sand paper.

Illegality is determined day-by-day as TLG discovers how much stress their parts can take. Older sets had builds that are now considered illegal because no one at the time of set design realized that the build was stressing any elements too severely.

"Illegal" just means "TLG considers this connection to put an undue amount of stress on the components which may cause them to crack or break more quickly than what is desirable".

/tg/'s opinions on the LEGO Volcano Explorer Sets? (60120-60125)

I have the option to get all 6 Sets for $300, which appears to be a good $100 less than retail, which seems like a decent deal overall. Its also ALOT of minifigs and some neat vehicles and helicopters.

That was the Plan....I kinda just want the Heavy Lift Helicopter, The Normal Rescue Helicopter, and the Volcano Base Truck.

The Drill Truck and Explore Truck dont really interest me. The Starter set may not be terrible, as $8 is decent for 4 Minifigs and an ATV.

I made a pair of science waifigs for no reason

The ladybugs that are crawling all over the walls and ceiling at this time of year go absolutely nuts when I turn on the UV lights. If I leave them on too long, the set fills up with ladybugs crawling around on it.

The Lego Batman Movie was pretty disappointing to me, but this looks a lot better. Much more fresh-feeling from the trailers and footage I've seen. Sequels in general seem to be demonized, with the thought being that all movies should be one-offs. What do I know though, I don't have ADHD and the need to jump to something else every five minutes. I turned on my UV lights and left the room for a minute and when I came back there was a ladybug crawling around by this 1x6 arch. Bugs love UV lights, in case you never had a bug zapper. In the summer when I have the window open and run a game with glowy stuff, the screen fills up with bugs trying to get at that delicious blue light.

Has anyone else gotten these new road plates? I'm not much of a Lego City fan, but they are really neat. You connect them together with system parts and they can even be made into ramps and higher levels. I also like that they are double sided. Not in love with the sides they paired. At least I'll get some use out of all of them, maybe.

I had a blast with them when they first came out, but then they kept coming when I thought it was going to a be just three simple waves. Had I known that, I would have been more selective in choosing which ones to get instead of buying all of them. Now I have no room to display all of them even when I combined a number of them to make new Mixels or mechs. That being said, the ones I chose not to buy were just as rad as the ones before, but I wasn't big on the themes for the later waves. It just felt kind of gimmicky to me.

Shuff and Zaptor are my favorites.

It's from the Atlantis sets like >>6555236 said, but at the time of that picture, I switched the arms to black. Now he has the lime green arms. I wanted a unique space torso and this particular one works perfectly, except the plastic they used on them keeps cracking. I've replaced the arms and torso several times. A pity. I was considering replacing his suit with an Insectoid torso and the gray Exploriens helmet since the older plastic seems less likely to crack.
