Yeah lol. I realized that its not a taxi right after uploading it.

When I look at other lego sites such as flickr, mocpages, etc. I can understand the hate towards capeshitters and SW fags. Their mocs consist of either """""""custom""""""" minifigs, minifigs doing overly serious poses, or really uninspired mocs that look bland and have no real play value. Although I do enjoy some SW mocs, capeshit has literally no redeemable qualities whatsoever.

To be homest one of them made me mad few hours ago.
We talked about display cases for miniifgs and i pointed that his minifigs are under display that is hard to open. He answered saying something like "lol i dont play with legos! xD" meaning that why the hell he would even TOUCH his 'collection'

This what is wrong with sw/capeshit 'collectors'. The word is 'collectors'. Not builders or creative people. They enter the field of people that play with toys and build stuf using olastic bricks and see it like we are autistic children or something

They are filthy normies, and i wont stop hating them ever.
But yeah i like and buy sw/capeshit sets

SW and super heroes are normie traps. They buy the sets because they are pop culture and toys, so double nerdy. Of course they don't play or build with them, because they bought them just to show off. But that's not to say all sw and super heroes fans are uncreative show-offs of course.

But yeah, suicide is a permanent answer to what is very likely a temporary problem, even if you can't see your way out of it at the time or otherwise are just fed up. Take it from someone used to dealing with depression and got pushed to terminal brink before. At the very least leaving your loved ones the gift of finding your corpse is a pretty goddamn selfish thing to do, though admittedly not THE BEST reason to keep going beyond, yeah, there are people who care about you so ending your pain by spreading it to everyone else who loves you is pretty shitty.

I think I've made my mind about season 5 sets of Nexo knights. They are actually a better ones. And this is why:

Season 1 + 2: We had best NK sets (King's mech, Jestro's castle etc)
While there were almost no structures, many vehicles were based on medieval themes: chariots, attack towers, robo horses, crossbow-shaped aircraft and so on.
Not exactly "Castle" stuff but I see the reasoning behind Lego's excuse to attach NK to "castle" line.
Plus, we had cool demons as a bad guy. This is the closest thing that depicts devils and hell in lego. Great stuff.

But at the same time Lego had overblown the number of released sets: 18 sets + 10 ultimate minifigs.

Season 3 + 4: Stone monsters is a good concept and I like them. But sets were so poorly designed. What you will think about "stone monsters" in "castle" theme?
Maybe living fortresses with arms stretching out of walls into inner space? Walking assault towers with rocky faces? Crawling castles?
Most certainly not a dozen of nonsensical nexo knight's vehicles. Not a single structure, only cars, cars and cars like the focus group is 4 years old.
And those cars were not even good. You know what I'm talking about. Even the baddies base is a huge car with 10 (!) huge wheel pieces everyone hates.
There were a few nice sets. Nice, but not excellent.

14 sets + 6 suits. Lesser than in first year, but because the sets were so uninspired, sales wasn't that good to keep the pace.

Makes sense that by season 5 they do not want to risk anymore with a theme that has a concurrent line known as Ninjago.
You put a theme with colored characters against similar theme that is selling like a hot cakes to kids for half a decade. You fill it with mediocre sets in huge numbers. You do it on the verge of Ninjago movie coming to cinemas. What could possibly go wrong?

Now for season 5 we have only 6 sets. and I'd say they are as good as better season 1 sets were.

1) Lance's Hover jouster - love it. Brand new idea not only for NK line, but whole lego sci-fi area as well. Executed pretty well, I want to get it just to change turret a little in awesome hover tank.

2) Twinfector - weakest set of 6. But it has nice minifigs, one might pick it for this case.

3) Berserker bomber - looks absolutely awesome. Period.

4) Mech for a mech - again something new for Lego as a concept. It's very well done: from color scheme to weapon's design. Arms and legs are on a shorter side, but with enough spare clocki in your drawer this will not be a problem. I think this is just as awesome as king's mech.

5) Aaron's X-bow. This one is pretty meh. Lime green doesn't work with gold and dark blue. It's another flying thing. We had same things in previous year.

6) Rolling arsenal - Absolutely amazing. I didn't think that when I saw it's photos from sides and back. But looking at price and pieces number: 604 / 60$ I can see that this isn't the flagman set like fortrex for example.

As someone who owns all the boxed sets, year 2 had multiple issues. The knight's vehicles were for the most part worse, Axl's expecially, but also Lance and Aaron. Clay I'd call about even and Macy's was actually much better. The bigger problem IMO is that there was no reason to get the sucky sets. In year 1 the sets I didn't like had things like hover horses, brick build baddies, named baddie minifigs and the theme was fresh. Year 2 was a lot of bland sets and a poor use of theme and color scheme for the baddies. The battle suits were a great concept, but the implementation of combining with other sets was poorly executed.

Fortrex has twice as many pieces and price goes over 100$. We all assumed that the Rolling arsenal will be of the same size and price. For 1000+ pieces one can expect a fully covered construction. But I think this is what happened:

NK designer team had this tank in mind for a long time. But NK castle is more important than this to be featured in season 4, so obviously tank could have a release spot only in season 5 or 6. But oh-oh, here comes funding shortage. Lego requests the biggest set to be in a 60$ range. Team tries their best to fit the awesome design they had into this limits. In order to save look of it they've sacrificed view from back, from inside (the little cart), the number of trucks and overall length of the model. And I think they did all they could in this situation.

Set literally screams "complete me into real WW1/warhammer tank!". And I have enough spare clocki for that! It quickly became a must-buy set for me after I realized how great t will look after clocki injection.

Now I know I'll get 3 sets from season 5: Hover tank, Mech and Arsenal. All looks awesome and will look even better after customization.

I love both games to death but Rock Raiders was a bit flawed in the ways of the Raiders AI, the narration for every single fucking thing going on and the random drops and spikes in the level difficulty. Lego Island is just top comfy with no real issues aside from maybe the music constantly switching gears from place to place.

A set that doesn't look all that appealing to me, but has a pretty awesome actionfeature. Not sure if i could moc something with just that set, but it has an interesting selection of parts usefull for castles/architecture, cars, minifigs monsters, hellscapes and trains. I'd build it before applying stickers though.

LEGO Set # 75926:

A set containing a blue-grey 4×4 vehicle with a Pteranodon. There is one minifig in the set.
Priced 24.99 EUR
LEGO Set # 75927:

Looks like the Jurassic World Raptor escape. The difference is that the set looks more like a residence instead of a cage. The walls are high and there’s some kind of stage on which a minifig can stand. Looks like it only contains one raptor and two minifigs in the set.
Priced 39.99 EUR
LEGO Set # 75928:

A set with a helicopter, which, from what we can take from the picture, can capture a dinosaur from the air. The dino most likely being a raptor. Also a small vehice is included, probably a quad. Number of minifigs unknown.
Priced 59.99 EUR
LEGO Set # 75929:

This is a more expensive set, containing a big transport truck, like seen in 75917 Raptor Rampage, a gyrosphere, a tower with grapple hook and a T-Rex. The number of minifigs is uncertain, but it looks to be 4.

Pteranodons, Velociraptors, and Tyrannosaurs – oh my! While the descriptions leave a lot to the imagination, they do seem to be in theme with what we know about the latest Jurassic Park film. Namely, dinosaur capture/rescue operations. We’re sure one of the Velocirators will be Blue, but are certainly curious about the others! The LEGO Jurassic World 2018 lineup hits shelves April 16th, and is expected to be unveiled at the New York Toy Fair in February.

The human mind is a marvelous machine but like any machine it can be fucked with in a number of ways. In this case it's a more extreme version of how the color red can impact you just because it's used on stop signs.

You can train yourself or other people to freak out over anything, even the sight or smell of Lego.

I got all the new Nexo Knight sets at my local TRU today. I was tempted to look at some older sets by the website prices but the store had everything at normal (higher than website before it's sale) prices. I can see why they had to file for bankruptcy.

I had also picked up the Ninjago Master Falls set because I thought it would fit in with the Jungle theme and I was eager to see if it worked. Turned out great; fits really well with the theme! Nah, she's a little cooky just like everybody in the family but not like i think you do. Both parents taught at an art academy. She drew collections for fashioncompanies and shit and was very interested in rennaissance. Both my parents were also really into modern art, the avant gardes and especially concept art. Once you get down with these things you quickly create all kinds of intense internalized associations. (Also a lot of avant garde styles were strict about solely using primary colours) When she was little she shared a bunch of 60's Lego with her younger siblings and back then those also only had white, black and gray together with primary colours. My entire family is super particular and passionate about their aesthetic preferences.
I personally am quickly put off by too much drab beiges browns and coppers in some contexts. I almost never use tan and lime in my mocs besides skincolours too. But i don't mind if people have this. Being passionate about these things is a good thing in my book.

They really knocked it out of the park with their designs. Even the stuff that had to be scaled down from the movie isn't a disappointment in terms of build and appearance (looking at you, Emmet's Construction Mech).

The designs are all top-notch. I think they probably benefited quite a bit from having three years to learn from TLM.

A lot of Lego designs kind of suck because they’re being designed as toys first and design principals in animation (such as silhouette) second. And I assume with a smaller budget that doesn’t allow for as many iterations

And speaking of the Ninjago movie:
Got the game for like ten bucks on Steam and I'm genuinely surprised by it since I expected some lame cash-in like the Lego movie one but they actually put honest to god effort into it.
The combat is probably the best in any of the Lego games which feels pretty fluid and now includes fast dodge rolls, combos and special moves.
I also like how the figures now have finger prints, scratches, dents and finally even molding lines all over them and during cut scenes they actually move in a way reminiscent of the whacky stop-motion style they did in the movie.

As for me i just hate those ninjas.
What a bunch of annoying teenagers. I like ninjago sets for unique builds like those biker skeletons or Sky Pirates. But fuck ninjas man.
Even their face prints give me a "DUUUUHHH IM KEWL NINJA XDDDD" impression and i wish i could just burn every ninja minifig.
I mean you cant even use their minifig parts for anything due to their specific ninja design...

Not right now. I burrowed some parts for some medieval fantasy stuff after years of her being partly assembled. It uses the cmf swimmer black swimsuit torso, spookygirl hair, cmf warriorwoman face and a black hip piece of the dr jekyl and mr Hyde fig.
Without the short arms you can't do the short sleeves and racing gloves justice.

How much would 9000 average bricks cost on Bricklink?

I've seen bulk sellers with good prices before, but I don't know how much it would cost to buy just plates and bricks. Each lot would be a few hundred bricks minimum.

Brickset is just a database with an overview of all existing sets, parts, minifigs, etc. You can't buy stuff directly from there.

You're being a bit too general here. If you want to MOC vehicles look for good vehicle parts, if you want to MOC mechs look for parts letting you build in weird angles and joints.
I guess stuff like bracket pieces are useful for everything.

Honestly, I've had the most enriching experiences buying a big unsorted tub of pieces, then supplementing what interests me with specific Bricklink orders. You get a wide assortment of parts, often with some interesting stuff you've never seen before, a lot of pieces you wouldn't normally acquire on your own, and the price-per-piece is always much cheaper than if you bought the sets new. Once you get rolling, you can use Bricklink to fill in the gaps.

On Bricklink this would have probably cost a lot more. There was at least $50 worth of minidoll hair alone, plus almost 7,200 pieces total, putting the average price at about a penny per piece.

Last summer I bought a box of loose pieces at a garage sale for $20 that included more than $100 worth of rare animals like a giant shark, a glow-in-the-dark octopus, a wampa and a tauntaun, weird rare shit like an Indiana Jones boulder (54mm Mindstorms ball in light bley), a couple of pieces from the 1960s-70s, and a bunch of cool architectural parts that were released during my dark age that I probably never would have picked up otherwise.

I saw the wonder woman movie set on sale for ~$20 and it made me want to do something with the brick built largie fig. Without the stickers and some part substitutions you could a fairly generic looking fig. Has anyone messed around with the idea? I think a line of those would outsell brickheadz.
