My only PCCs are Smolder, Crankcase, Bombshock, Sledge and Skyburst.
Skyburst and Sledge aren't too great, though Sledge's partner minicon is stellar, pic related.
Bombshock has a nice bot mode but a trash altmode, pretty alright combined though. Smolder and Crankcase are my standouts, no question.

Agreed, since the only job of the drones would be to become limbs, removing the automorph would free up a lot to become articulated, second thing that could improve them is make them less mix and match and just paint everyone in the set around the same colors, like the japanese one did.
Also steamhammer is easily the best one out of the PCC line, if he had just a little more it would be perfect.

I feel like all the forced appreciation of Bayformers for this reason is over-emphasized. Transformers survived just fine without a movie push. I'd be perfectly fine if we went back to only getting a handful of new molds a year as long as there's no filler. Cybertron, the last full line before the movie, was basically a perfect line to me, for example. Just about every mold from that line was worth owning at the time, with 4-7 exceptions. Even if the line in general isn't up to modern standards, just about every release did something interesting and worth checking out. There's also no fucking filler, no simplified one-steps, no attempt to pander at every single age demographic, just the mainline and Legends. That's all we need. The movie lines are full of bullshit that clogs shelves.

And even with the movie success, it couldn't save takara, who's barely making original stuff anymore.

Maybe add some titan master gimmick to the drones so that they have some extra play value. They would make neat titan master vehicles when they arent limbs.

I would love a fully decked out Grimmstone for my dinobot squad. I love that all his drones are conveniently different dinos than the original squad.

The only thing ill give the movie any credit for is that sometimes they will shit out a particularly inspired design that isnt god awful.

I got Blot from a collectibles store for like about horrid retail. I only got Blot because I wanted him the most from the new wave. Everyone else can wait.

Pros:
- transformation is unique to him, the robot legs form a backpack for beast mode and the robot fists fold to form pinchy claws and helps cover up the hollow forearms as a bonus
- Good paint apps and sculpt

Cons:
- Backpack in alt mode is kinda a big and a little heavy
- Does not have knee articulation like Ripper Snapper. Mouth can barely open (not sure if it is supposed to)
- pegging in parts can be fiddly

I am still quite pleased with him.

Been prototyping a milf arcee that turns into an suv for titan masters.
With my lovely assistant quake.
But I've run into a slight problem.
I'm concerned she's gonna be too thick. I was aiming for voyager size, as that would make her still smaller than trailer pulling vehicles.
Before i actually cut any plastic i wanted opinions on if she's too thick.

I can't hate Bay films. We got the best generation toys out of the money they made on those 1st three films. It got Shot factory agreements to happen which lead to a mass of 80s cartoons getting released on disc as well as the Bluray remaster of the 86 film. None of that shit would have happen if the Bay films performed like GiJoe films did. The Bay films were the best thing for the fandom.

I have never watch a Bay Transformers film since the 07 one. I have a vast of great TFs from the 2010 era, disc copies of all my 80s cartoon shows and new toys even now that I'm looking forward too. X-Men as an allegory for the African-American plight was great, as it was entertaining, yet managed people to think about things without being cunts about it. "All Quiet on the Western Front" and "The Rose of Versailles" are both similar, as while they try to convey a message, they do it subtly, and entertain with a great story as well.
Now, if everybody in All Quiet was constantly bitching about the Kaiser and the bigwigs, instead of joking about them a couple few times, it would be a crappy book, seeming annoying and preachy. If ROV constantly shat on men and patriarchal France than it would sound preachy and boring, it rather chooses to tell the story of a kick-ass independent woman who needs not to gripe, as she overcomes her shortcomings and EARNS her respect.
If you HAVE to add a message, tie it in, and write it in a way that makes you think.

I thought the X-Men were supposed to be stand ins for jewish people. I hated them as a kid. Half the cast was unappealing and the other half sat around and talked/brooded instead of kicking ass. I'm talking mostly about the Phonix Saga and the 90s show.
Anyway, I think I see your point and agree with it.

One of the issues I have with the preaching is that the fun stops and focuses on it. It's disruptive. Like in Mass Effect, a game series about shooting enemies from behind cover and picking the renegade options. In 3 there's a gay shuttle pilot after whom you have to run behind frequently to console him about his dead husband. Right when you'd think you'd finished with running around the Citadel and could finally go on a mission, you'd be informed that the twat has left the ship and you have to find him somewhere in the Citadel. It was non-skippable so you had to drop everything and sit through his constant "progressive" lamenting. It was exactly like the Poochie episode in Simpsons where the kids wanted to see Itchy and Scratchy go to the firework factory but then Poochie appeared and the thing the kids wanted to see was delayed and eventually didn't happen. Had the gay guy been a straight guy or a hot chick then I still would had found it frustrating, but he was put in the exactly to be gay.

I think Red Alert 3 and parts of 2 handled politics well. First off, everything is played for laughs. The communists are moustache twirling villains whose front line troops are victims of propaganda and meat for the grinder. Their leaders are incompetent and either manipulated or corrupt. Meanwhile the Allies are squeaky clean guys. However they try to manipulate soviet civilians by promising them free TVs, much of their fighting personel is mercs from contracted companies, the major contractor is an evil company that pulls all sorts of shaddy stuff with the approval og High Command, and the new President of the US says some very dubious things in the ending video. Both sides are made fun of according to their irl stereotypes.

Man, I wish we'd get more Dune games. Heh, imagine a tf-Dune crossover. Beachcomber would shine in it.

Aw, I sort of liked Skyburst. Sure he had a huge backpack and his torso mode had awkward hips but he had a cool jet mode and the way his torso mode's upper half formed was really neat.

You could use the cw torso cons as mini stations like the originals, I also got the RiD Galvatronus set an use the limbots as towers or tryticon drones, the purple matches, also gave Centuritron to it as a Sixgun counterpart.

Totally unfair matchup. Megazord's got way too much bullshit compared to Devy, who usually gets his shit stuffed in by all manner of mundane shit, let alone sentai magic shit.

Honestly, most TF combiners and big mecha are kind of shit compared to a lot of stuff. Only real exceptions are the truly gigantic dudes like Metroplex, Trypticon, Scorponok, and of course Fortress Maximus, and thats mostly just because they're so ridiculously huge the sheer mass behind their attacks would crush the much smaller sentai mecha.

Magneto as a Holocaust survivor didn't happen until the early 80s (UXM #150 to be exact) under Claremont.

X-Men were explicitly about the civil rights movement with Xavier=Martin Luther King Jr (who Lee supported) and Magneto=Malcolm X, who Stan Lee didn't like because of his black supremacist views.

Also, X-Men (and Avengers) were a rush job; they were thrown into production rather last minute, due to the fact that Daredevil was supposed to debut in the fall of 1963 and wasn't going to be ready that year, due to Lee hiring Wally Wood (who was super duper slow) to draw Daredevil.

It doesn't transform, it just sits down; it has no base mode as you might expect; it has no real articulation; it's hollow as hell; even the places where Legions are supposed to sit do not accomodate them that well.
