Kek this. It's not like every MCU has notable characters in the first place. The only one that stands out like that is Thor's movies, which wasn't really helped by the fact that his initial toys were done in a different scale even though they were good toys.

On one hand, these are solid improvements, and I applaud Hasbro for them. On the other hand though, it still doesn't fix my biggest problem with the figure--that horrible hoodie sculpt. Instead of the bunched, almost cuffed sleeve edges or the ripped edges, they give us no interesting detail at all where the sleeves end, and the drawstrings look like worms. I know they have the technology to make those better, I have seen similar accessories on other toys that would work great.

There's also the problem that I hate the Pizza body. While I do appreciate that we got a jazzed-up reissue at all, it makes it even more unlikely that we will ever get a truly improved version with a good body (2099 blease) and a better torso sculpt.

They could have at the very least made an Ant-Man and the Wasp wave with the title characters and Ghost, plus some comic characters.

I wasn't saying we should get figures of Cassie Lang, or Luis or the other X Cons. But if Black Panther can get figures of every named character, every suit variant, plus a fucking Dora Milaje army builder, other films should be able to at least get toys of every costumed hero or villain they feature.

Good god, why are the Vintage waves such cheap disappointments? Wasp looks nice but I don't see the paintwork looking good with their QC and while I don't care for Scarlet Spider, at least it has a bit more effort put into it. I'm keen for a new classic Vision but I'm sure they'll find some way to ruin that as well.
Biggest disappointment is easily Hawkeye though since I'm certain no import company would ever make a classic Clint so Hasbro is all I can rely on

Honestly I've come to mostly detest the BuckyCap mold, but I dunno what else Clint would be on that'd fit. I feel like Pizza Spidey is too thin, while Bullseye/2099/etc. is a bit too beefy.

I don’t think anyone disagrees with that, but the last time they did an Ant Man wave it didn’t sell very well. Limited distribution and garbage comic figures, plus a terrible Ultron BAF. Which may or may not be getting rereleased soon.

I'm really excited to have the claw and killmonger figs though. Never felt like the female characters were very interesting, but I'm for once glad theres more black panther. And honestly I don't know how bad the Ultron was but in Hasbros defense the ultron design wasn't very good to begin with.

so is the Cull Obsidian wave pretty much impossible to find? I managed to get Thor from Amazon, but I still need Widow, Ant-Man, Wasp, and maybe Black Knight. Its seems like they're pretty much sold out everywhere (BBTS, Dorkside, EE) and are not showing up in stores because the shelves are still full of King Cobras, Songbirds, and Iron Man

Thor was a Who when I was a kid, every big movie and show was Hulk ,Spider-Man, or X-Men, and Fantastic Four, all the toys and marketing were for those, and yet my favorite MLs as a kid were always Thor and Cap

I like ANAD Vision a lot, it's got a New Gods/Eternals design aesthetic to it that I like, but yes, this is absolutely the definitive Vision.

Though personally I'd have preferred him on the larger Spider-UK body, even if that meant no armpit joint. Also some open hands.

Paint looks more complete, they even added the lines on his thighs. I wish he was darker though, like molded in gunmetal silver similar to the Ultron/Vison/Hulk pack or the comic Ultron repaint from the EU set. Also I was never too fond of how soft the sculpt was (the hands particularly) and how they did the articulation on this one.

That said, I'll still be getting it to join the rest of my MCU Legends but the Revoltech still looks to be the superior figure if you want an MCU Ultron by its lonesome.

It eerily reminds me of repaints like pic-related, especially the added thigh lines and placement of reds.

Kind of reminds me when people were making Sauron customs out of the AMS Lizard years ago and Hasbro literally did the same thing with their BAF. Honestly if it's true, then that would be kinda neat.
