I made another fukin little car. It's a 1969 Ferrari 312p Le Mans racer. It was a little difficult to get the curves of the car right in Lego form. What do you anons think of it?

Looks great! I like how you tried to incorporate just a bit of the asymmetry. Did you try to go for a scoop? I guess that would've been hard to offset without the air intake being behind the driver but not too far off to the side. I like the more classic studded look you did too give it a bit more contrast.

Spend three hours deciding on what was the perfect hair for my barbarian brawler tiger waifu. Meticulously sorting a whole bunch of parts from bricklink and Lego.com orders wich took the better part of a whole day. Wrote down a couple of stories and names for figures. Put a few figures scooters and cars in my street so they have a cool contrasting colour setup. Feeling legit really bad because the clip on the underside of my red vespa broke and now it can't connect to the weaponised sidecar I made for for DynaMite to ride.

They really should've made those clips reïnforced more like the older 1x1 tiles with clips. Now both my old light aqua and my red one are broken. Feels bad man.

Anybody else nabbing pic-related this week? Yeah, it's overpriced and the likeness could be a tad better, but the DB-5 has a lot of gentle, bulbous curves that are hard to replicate in Lego. It's still clearly Bond's car, and all the gimmicks and details are enough to win me over. Always been a huge Bond fan and a huge Lego fan, so this is just one of those things I was going to buy no matter what.

I'm just annoyed I'm probably gonna have to make the haul to a Lego store to pick one up if I want it by the weekend.

How do people actually collect a large amount of pieces? Is it just through Bricklink orders? I've been buying Lego for nearly 20 years and don't have the kind of supplies everyone on here seems to have (for starters, much of the sets I buy are kept built).

How would you suggest I begin to amass a collection that could allow me to just build without any specific design in mind? Right now I just use Stud.io

But I bought them because I wanted the design. Mainly talking modulars and the old fishing store. I do have a bin somewhere with parts from childhood that might help, though. But you guys both know that breaking apart the detective's office won't make my den look like jang's storage room

There are some of the three-in-one houses sitting on my desk though that I'm considering breaking to build something bigger, but they don't exactly match (one's a beach house and the other is a log cabin)

To be honest, I think those blue accents would look better in red. IMO Spyrius should have blue accents only in transparent places, like windshields and domes. But that's just my two cents. Keep on building anon.

I parted out Green Grocer for just over $100 using smaller sized sand green bricks instead of the 1x8s and just used 1x2 bricks instead of the 1x2 with grooves. It looks fine.

Depends on how cheap/expensive you can get them. Fire Brigade, Town Hall and Grand Emporium are all very good looking, and I own Grand Emporium myself.
Also you might want to look into colourswapping and substituting unique pieces, Green Grocer is really nice and you can even use masonry bricks or something else if you want.

I have something north of 60,000 pieces and the only set I have assembled is the Detective Office, which I will eventually disassemble once I'm done with it.

If you want a lot of pieces just to build whatever with, the quickest and easiest way is to buy a large unsorted lot on ebay or craigslist.

I think it might! A blue cockpit would surely work towards the classic Spyrius look. Also to make it more vibrant, perhaps spice the arms/weapons with more transneon green instead? Maybe add something like energy radiators or sources, to show that the whole color is more of an "utility" thing, instead of a stylistic inclusion - red and black with big transneon green pieces tends to slip more to the M-tron territory. Oh, the robot's upper body looks appropriately bulky for a classic space inspired build, I dig that.

They are not hard to get. Just buy some random minifig bulk from Ebay, they are almost always civilians and overall non-action figs, or just buy specific parts from Bricklink.

Most buildings aren't simple featureless blocks. Consider making them 32x32 so you have a little more space to work with. Learn some SNOT techniques so the buildings aren't just bare stacks of bricks. Look at how the big modulars are designed with tiles on top of the walls so the roofs are removable.

Any classic GPCs? I have a ton of the original series.

Step one is to give things more space though.
Just moc more and try to improve your stuff. If you really like your stuff just keep it like that and roll with it, or atleast iterate and make spiritual successor enhanced versions of it. Have fun.

Oh and make your stripes on the road inset and smooth. It'll look loads better.
Proportion and form is king to make things look good (though ofcourse non rainbowcolours help). Right now they look like that big ass straw ChrisChan drinks out of.

My first Lego set in years. Mainly because the cyberpunk asia syle really hit a lot of sweet spots.

I see that the docks set can be connected to the aforementioned. But I would really like to see more of it.

Since as far as I know the docks came only out this year how are the chances for another set this year?

I wasn't a fan of the Batman movie, but Ninjago I loved a lot. I don't know why it gets so much hate. It has good themes, gets its parental point across better than the others, and is visually beautiful. A lot less ADHD action-wise than the first two so it's easier to catch everything going on. I don't think the stone colossus was that amazing, mostly due to the legs not articulating and being prisons because playfeatures. It was very well designed to be what it was intended to be though. I thought Infernox, Burnzie and Sparkks were infinitely more interesting than the minifig vilians. I thought the Heligoyle wasn't as great, but it was still better than another helicopter. The Krakenbeast was very good. Both Grimrocs and the bedrock monster were much better use of parts and design than typical enemy side builds.
I gotta agree with >>7094711 that monsters would be amazing, especially if done in a variety of sizes.

They really didn't know who they should target the movie at. It's supposed to be a separate continuity/soft reboot and yet there's stuff from the original series that has no real relevance to the new setting and will make people who aren't familiar with the series scratch their heads with Zane being a robot being probably the most notable example.

Another issue is that they spent way too much time in non-Lego environments which were one of the most novel things in the two former movies and the scenes with Jackie Chan and the kid could've been written out entirely and absolutely nothing would change.

Why is The Zombies set on BL more expensive compared to most of the other Monster Fighters sets? Even the Ghost Train can be gotten for less and it has more parts.

Are these worth anything more than 5 pence? I saw some ocmpetition or Eurobricks or the like where the first prize was a MISB Galidor set signed by the designer/sculptor, whereas second prize was Ninjago City Docks.

Look's kinda cool, but who would buy merch of the dullest franchise in the history of movie franchises? Seriously each episode following the boy wizard and his pals from Hogwarts Academy as they fight assorted villains has been indistinguishable from the others. Just bought a few clone battle packs to replace afew parts on my LAAT, Even spent a few minutes and put another door on to completely seal up the troop bay.
