The difference is that Figuarts actually does a pretty good job of releasing other lines, even if the TokuArts is massively produced.

Getting a Figma release, or multiple figures from a series, can be an act of god if it isn't fate or boat girls.

There is 42 Fate figma, INCLUDING announced and unreleased shit without prototypes. Out of a line with 700+ releases. If anything there is a distinct lack of fate figma compared to how much people were begging for certain characters and getting nothing for years.

It's pretty reasonable to avoid a line unless they make all of the characters you want.
For example I avoided the Lupin the 3rd figuarts because I knew they would never make Goemon and I knew I would be disappointed displaying the other characters without him.

10 normal releases bro. Over the course of TEN YEARS. Don't even pretend we're getting enough when it took almost a decade just to get Lancer or Gilgamesh.

The only reason production is ramping up with Fate is because people actually buy these figma and they don't sit around shelf-warming like flavor of the week/month shows.

Also let's be honest...does every show out there really need a dozen figma? Do people REALLY care about various side characters enough to spend $60-80+ on them? You're going to get the ones who top the popularity charts, this is nothing new dude.

For what it's worth, GSC and Type-Moon go way, way back. TM properties were pretty much Good Smile's bread and butter for their first few years on the market. Whether the number of figures is warranted boils down to preference, but the point is, Fateshit is so deeply intertwined with GSC and its brands that complaining about it is like complaining about S.H. Figuarts doing so many Kamen Riders when the line literally spun off from a Kamen Rider toyline.

Serious question: what material is your pic's arm made from? Latex? Silicone? I'm not an expert of any sort, but I believe some elastic materials have differing properties for flexing and such.

I think the last time a show was this disappointing was the Tamashii Nation of 2013 show. There were like 5 new figuarts revealed and the rest was dedicated to their mech lines.

2018 Tamashii shows have been incredibly bad. I'm guessing they decided to not show so many prototypes anymore without clearing all their licenses first. But in return, the shows have had fewer reveals and way less surprises now. Something like the Harry Potter line should've been at San Diego Comic-con but it just randomly appeared in a magazine scan.

I honestly think the shows would be a lot better if they use multiple revealed characters in different poses against either revealed people or older characters. Like for example Broly - why not have another Broly facing off against the new Vegeta/Goku? One static pose for a figure isn't doing it. Same with the SS figures. Have your static poses and then have some facing off against each beside them in a little diorama that doesn't take up much room.

They have some posed already like the mechs, but it shouldn't be too much to ask for multiple figures of the same characters for display purposes. It would really pad out an underwhelming event.

A few people kept mentioning this. There's polls like that at almost every event they do and we've rarely seen anything come of them. They're for gauging interest at a very basic level and even if they showed there was enough interest in something (theres more to consider than just what people vote on) they still need to work out licensing, etc. It doesn't matter how many people want a particular anime if the studio is a bitch to work with or has unreasonable terms.

The lack of true 360 degree bicep and thigh swivels aren't a problem due to their unique elbow and knee joints, which rotate at the halfway point (you can see it particularly well on Buffaloman here). It's a pretty ingenious design that I'd like to see more companies adopt.
