I actually disagree - have you bought the old minifigs? The issue is clutch - most torsos don't grip legs at all. Most hands are either too stiff or too loose. Not to mention a good number of what you get have cracks that I cannot effectively repair (although I have a 30% repair rate).
It's not just "more of the same" - for me it's decently priced things that are in good condition.
And yes, I've even gone as far as getting MISB variants - haven't opened them yet - should I? I'm somewhat afraid they will still be aged pretty badly and still have issues.

To sum it all up - it's about quality rather than colors.

These is one of my most recent builds. I have quite a few more. The reason I don't post is that I have incredibly poor camera skills and haven't built a lightbox.

I am also aware they need more trans-neon green for contrast, just running out of those parts at the moment.

pretty sure those are new smaller heads though. The OG Kruncha had his helmet and head be one piece because his head was too big to fit normal minifig heads. And the old big skeleton head with stud doesn't fit the mohawk hairpice

My guess is Rex will have a falling out with Emmet for wanting to make amends with the Sistar denizens and they themselves will be asshats because "ew boy minifigures", and Emmet and Lucy will be an example of boy and girl minifigs getting along. I'm sure there's more to it, like the Brickburg minifigs rotting in the basement while the son from the first film made a new "Emmet" out of Rex, a new manlier minifigure he got from a more boy oriented set, hence why he's so similar to him.

Red is my favorite color, but Im glad they did yellow over red. It's a taboo-ish figure. It's essentially a naked figure to some people. They do red figures all the time, but yellow? It's great, it's the hurdle figure for sure, the one some people weren't sure we'd see again. I hope they do red, black, blue(....a normal non-benny blue guy) and just do them all, but yellow is a promising start.

Some incarnations of the Quinjet were pretty neat but they were simply adapted from an existing idea and there's just something joyful about this one. The colors and straightforward design, the nice engine pods with the perfect fin angle. There's even the little hint of canard like control surfaces right behind the cockpit for some character. The only real nitpick is while the gold details are obligatory and bring something to the table in terms of giving us a full color triad, the shape of the rings surrounding the VTOL features doesn't agree with me. But all in all something I'd definitely be tempted to pick up.

Not sure what made them go for Inferno Squad for the 2nd battle pack, but I like the TIE pilot helmet mold, so all is well. Thumbs up for including at least 3 "relevant" figures with each pack. Hated about the last batch that you'd usually only get 2 troopers and then 2 officers or named characters that you don't want a bunch of.

Yes, i have atleast one or serveral in good/great condition of every colour except white. So personally that feels more of the same to me. I'd rather have sparse availability to a certain extent with a wider range of options than a cheaper price. However there are figs out there that go for the 100 dollar pricerange and up that I totally check out on. Luckily classic space dudes aren't in that category from my experience.

As a die-hard Lego fan classic space figs aren't 'that' much more expensive right now as some other minifig parts i'm after. But again, i'm the person who tries to use a wide variety unique/rare pieces in wacky ways as possible, so I throw several euros on just one rare piece on bricklink semi-regularly.

If it soothes you, i can expect them remaking the helmets and torsos in the future since they already have the equipment for prints and molds now. The only vintage helmets I'd check out for are the old lightgray ones i posted since those will most definately never be made again.

Will they ever make one of those dinos again in blue? I doubt it. Interesting dinosaurs with rare colours are some of those parts that will probably never really decrease in value, but then again i'm not sure if legit dino nerds would think it not to be cool or something. But all raptors are like at the least ten bucks on bricklink.

These classics sets are amizing. They have with plenty of variety pieces and their costs are so low. About 0,04 cents a piece.

It's the best one.

This one apparently comes with a plastic box... maybe it's a little bit saltier. But the other one that comes with a paperboard box... is unbeatable. You can always order some other specific pieces from LEGO itself.

But I don't like the specialized pieces. The more abstract and geometric the better.

But all of their systems... like LEGO System, Technic, Minifigures, Mini-dolls... can interconnect, so all of their products adds to the other. Most of their sets comes with a mix of their multiple systems...

If they can't shave off the price you paid they might give you free VIP points to make up the difference. That's what happened with me. Store credit may not sound as nice but fuck it I'll spend it anyway, especially with Christmas coming up. The only shitty thing is if they do double VIP points. Lego insidee here. All these new 2019 small sets are part of an experiment. TLG wants to see if the samller sets are a better investment than the bigger ones.
Lego got a lot of complaints in the last years about the age "restrictions" on the boxes so they introduced the 4+/7+/10+/16+ age range.
The Benny space pack is made only to sell. The characters have a small role in the film. This one is meant to see if other themes battle packs sell good and if there is interest in classic themes which could return(there are talks for some modern themes such as Knights Kingdom and Johnny Thunder to return including an Agents theme which was popular...). Expect to see more classic minifigures in the future.
The Star Wars sales were pretty bad,no plans yet for a new contract after 2021...not yet. Ninjago sold great and the Legacy sets are expected to do great. Expect a new theme in the summer and no,not CCBS. Sorry but there is something for you guys too. Wait a little longer ;)

Might be able to pimp that out a bit by making an extra wide bigscreen. Like with the iconic chess set, make a 4x4 using some white flat pieces to form a border around it. Maybe even a 2x4 as a wide monitor? Maybe even some 2x1 grills to look like speakers on the ends? Not sure how that would look, I'd have to see it.

Stopped at Walmart today, saw that the Black Friday box was the same as last year, swung by the Lego aisle, and was surprised to find a brand-new box of CMF S18 stuffed into the polybag bin that must have just been put out this morning because it was untouched. I finally pulled a CMF Classic Cop on my own, so this will likely end up as a giveaway prize at some point in the future.

Also found a Master Wu beard dangling inside of the rack.

Interesting. I'd remove one of the cone and circle plate pieces, and use some of the left over red plates to imitate the steam domes. But it's looking good. If you have a 2x1 to 1 plate, or two, laying around, and a 3 long technic bar, it'd do a good job for a funnel.

Speed Champions is succhh a fucking good theme. The Mustang fastback especially is beautiful, one the best sets I've ever had the joy to build.
Actually I just ordered a couple sets from a local webstore's "black weekend". Mercedes AMG GT3 and that Ford GT double set. That '66 model is the one I'm looking forward to the most.
I'd like to see the off road Cooper from a different angle before I decide anything. Looks promising tho. Other sets for 2019 didn't invoke any "must get" -feels.

I feel exactly the same! I'm actually hoping they'd do at least one 50's car... like this Corvette I pieced together in stud.io.
I got good feedback from a Lego general thread couple months ago. I tried to make my build less cartoony and exaggerated, but I had trouble making it any lower.

They utilized a shit-looking, wobbly building system with extremely limited compatibility. They released pieces that address a number of it's issues and only put them in SW sets to boost their sales. And I expect SW constraction to set it's inflated prices as a standard for constraction if a new line is launched.

The original trilogy had the obvious visual thematics of ww2 to aid set up the roles of the titular war with something relatable. But then you had extended universe with >9000 additions and an emphasis on marketing for a very wide market where anything goes as long as you have the iconic ships, lightsabers, lasers etc. that everybody knows.

Is anyone else having issues ordering from Lego?
I go throught the processes, but when it comes to confirming my order it gives me an error message saying to try again later. I've been trying for 3 days now. When I contacted Lego about it, they told me to delete cookies. That did nothing, so I tried another computer (and different browsers) and still got the error message.
