Bee was confirmed as a reboot by audeinces who saw the film. Its also a good movie.
Whatever happens,I never hated Bay's Transformers and I welcome these G1 recognizable designs that Travis Knight brought us.

I just watched age of extinction the other day and it was not nearly as bad as I thought it'd be. The premise is cool it's just that the movie is twice as long as it should've been. Amazing how harassing Star Wars actors is acceptable solely because you don't like them in a movie you claim to be a hardcore fanboy of, yet the same people insist that "fanboys are whiners" if they dislike these ugly robot designs. Oh conservatives are hypocrites? Who knew?

Even if this movie is better than the rest it's still ugly shit robot designs. They need to actually start fresh with good designs, bump this nobody off the project and get del Toro to direct.

But Travis Knight is a G1 fan. Is Del Taco a Transformers fan? Was he young enough during the craze? I don't think so,we already had 5 films done by a non fan,do you want more? Huh,interesting. I like the style Travis Knight brought in but at the end of the day Paramount could want Del Taco and he maybe won't want to do it. Look at the Hobbit or all the unmade Del Toro films. I'm looking forward for Bumblebee,I heard only good things about this movie and I love all the designs I've seen. Right now we need a good movie to get people back in the franchise.

Lost Light has only a fraction of the goodness MTMTE had, just...way too much nonsense, he just couldn't make me care abiut it like he did in MTMTE. Also made the mistake of replacing a big AAA character like Megatron and filling his airtime with donut steels instead of characters like Bluestreak/Perceptor/Toaster who people care about, regressing Rodimus And taking writing advice from twitter. Great work from Milne, though, when he was allowed to work on it. His designs are some of my favourites to try and find in toy form.

The Bay movies are basically being dropped like a hot potato by fans now it seems, but I still think that first movie Autobot line-up is one of the best teams we ever got. Really iconic and well rounded team. I'm looking forward to getting a full squad.

He sure can. And those stunt drivers deserve credit for making it appear the cars are driving themselves. One of my all-time favorite scenes in any of the movies is the first one when Jazz does this hairpin turn in line behind Optimus.

We've seen 3rd parties do some pretty damn impressive things with the movie designs, though. Obviously they have more leeway with their engineering compared to Takara, but still, movie designs I thought would be impossible to replicate in toy form proved to be entirely possible thanks to brilliant engineering.

Of course the biggest problem, which has already been discussed, is that the movie designs were created with no thought given to how they would translate to toy form. A shame that the movie and toy designers couldn't have collaborated together. Oh well.

It upsets me that all the work put into Alternators vehicle modes has been written off as too much of a determent to transforming toys. Its like everyone just gave up. Doesn't help that TF fans don't seem to care about quality in car models. If I had my way, Premium 2007 series/ Rid 2001 vehicle modes would be standard for any vehicle mode's level of detail.

My problem with this new Optimus is that, if it wasn't in . a new live action movie, no one would care about it if it was just the basic design for a new cartoon or comic, it'd just be..there. Its only so interesting because of its relativity tobeing in a movie, in a series where the past Prime design was one of the most different takes on the design we've ever gotten. Its basically the equivalent to the Ben Affleck Batman suit; it really excited people when it first came out because it was just like the comics. Now its just whatever to people and the Burton 89 costume remains more iconic because of the impact it had.

I don't get why people hate Siege. There's a bunch of angry people who are upset that Warden isn't delivering the 1984 and 1985 cast in full and is stocking the ranks with stuff like Flywheels, Sixgun, and Japanese characters like Stepper and Clouder.

Like we were getting late era g1 stuff all throughout Combiner Wars, Titans Returns, and Power of the Primes. We've also gotten the first 13 autobots a billion times over outside of Huffer who's only had one Generations figure.

Late Era G1 stuff is also aesthetically pleasing like Piranhacon

I like that Siege Ultra Magnus can store Combiner Wars ultra Magnus ontop of him. Siege Magnus can also carry Classics Magnus and WFC Deluxe Magnus and there's a peg for Legion Market Six Magnus to ride on.

Basically you can combine all Generations Ultra Magni into a super vehicle mode.

They both have their merits, just like many parts transforming on the outside vs a more simple looking transformation does. Both also have their demerits. Part of the charm of Optimus Prime's usual face is the simpler look compared to most other Transformers that have a mouth (or mouth on display in versions where he is using a faceplate over his mouth) and the more complex looking Optimus lacks that. The simple looking Optimus has a design that falters at the thighs and legs in that they should be thicker to go along with the block bulk of the upper half. The more complex Optimus does better in that regard. I like both designs in the end since those demerits don't take away that much, especially in motion.

Arcee, Ratchet, Wheeljack, Brawn, Cliffjumper are in the cybertron scene. Along with the known decepticons

"Blitzwing" is just some grunt that dies in the opening of the movie.

Movie ends with bee meeting up with Prime and 7 more bots are arriving from space.

My showing had no stinger like Marvel movies, just a making of featurette.

Very good movie overall. Charlie likely won't be in the sequel as her Character arc wraps up nicely

SG Prime is covered in cracked windows and scuffs which fits with the battle damage aesthetic they're going for, and Rodimus Unicronus shows that Hasbro isn't afraid of homaging it to some degree.

Alright, home for the theater. Thoughts and maybe some spoilers.

Cybertron scenes were good.
Seekers are the Cons grunts. Really want to get a big toy of that body now.
Wheeljacks ears.
Optimus in general was good. Glad to not have Murder prime, and that trailer and shiny Freightliner. Want to see the toy rumored for him sooner than later.
Bumblebee as a character was just stellar, same with Shatter and Dropkick.
Cena was good.
No Megatron.
Was that Corey Burton? I missed the voice credits.
Action was easy to follow.
Really, good movie all around, and I really dont think anyone could dislike it after seeing the last 5.

That shot of prime and bee I need in a hires version soon.

Nah, I got to watch pretty much the whole movie. The first 10 minutes were the scenes on Cybertron so that's why I got pissed. I went to an AMC Dine-in at Fullerton and they've played 30 minutes of commercials before. But usually, on average the AMCs that I go to regularly would show 15 minutes of trailers. That seems to be the case. Plus, they could always introduce Bumblebee (movie) figures to SS down the line. Toy waves are planned a year or more in advance, so HasTak may have not wanted to risk a lot of resources on the Bee movie after the last movie was such a flop.

Agreed. I wound up liking some of the movie toys, particularly non-appearing ones where they were more loose with the alien aesthetic, but the movies themselves were no good. Nice to hear the new one is at least not more of the same. I want to hope the long night has passed.

I think if this movie does really well and they greenlight a follow-up, it'll be called "The Transformers" and in that they'll finally play the theme song. I think they avoided it this time because it's Bumblebee's story, not "The Transformers".
