I don't normally buy sets new but I picked up this Ninjago Throne Room Showdown the other day and thought it was really cute, so here's my review. 221 pieces, $16 at Walmart or maybe cheaper because some anon in the last thread said they got it for $11.

First off, the set is three parts connected by a 1x2 brick with bar on end on each side of the throne section. Makes it easy to pop them apart or swing them closer together.

Left section has a breakaway Asian fencing section for the redhead to make her dramatic entrance, and my personal favorite detail, this cute little security camera with a wide range of articulation.

I've never gotten into this line, but I know most of the main characters and I really like the aesthetic of medieval Japan mixed with ultramodern technology, so that's a big part of why I like this set.

Throne is made with six of these 1x1 brick with adornment piece in gold, which is neat because I didn't have any before now and they look cool. Base of the throne is just some regular stairs that aren't important at all

One thing I don't like about this set is how much gap there is between the bottom of the katanabars and the base of Luhlloyd's cell. They already include some 1x1 studs w/holes, which would help to bring the katanas down farther, or some 1x1 cones would have worked too.

Comes with five minifigs, including four waifigs, which I did not notice when I grabbed it. I don't know anything about the show or the exact details, but from what I can tell Nya is pulling a Return of the Jedi Lando stunt and dressing up as a guard with a mask. Samurai X is Pixel, I think. Everybody's here to rescue Luhlloyd from the cute South American girl unless the redhead is a mercenary on the bad guy's payroll.

Saw the Ninjago summer sets,here a small descriptions of each:
70671 Lloyd’s Adventures -Includes Lloyd and two fire snakes
70672 Cole Off-Road Motorcycle - Ice samurais against Cole's bike
70673 Shuricopter -New ninjag copter,includes snake pyramid and empress. Helicopter isn't that big.
70674 Fire Croc's - Includes fire mummy snake mech thing and fire snakes
70675 4x4 Katana - Jay vehicle,includes fire snakes and small temple
70676 Lloyd Ninjago Titan Robot - Includes a big green mech for Lloyd and ice mech for smaurais
70677 Destiny's Bounty - Remake of the original,includes fire snakes and a small pyramid like temple in desert background
70678 Forgotten Emperor Temple - Big Ice temple in a moutain,includes an ice dragon and ice samurais.
The ice samurai and fire snake mummies are never in the same set. Boxes also includes a picture of ice vs fire as these two factions are apparently at war and ninjas in the middle. Reminds me of the old space era sets where we had different subthemes of a theme.

Good job as always. Obnoxious nitpicks: When the rest of the build is color and texture greebled so well, the plain red roof really sticks out. The interior looks really dark (might just be the photo though). Why would two different copies of the same newspaper be sold at the same time? Maybe add a dark-brown/old-brown/red-brown mix to the dirt to make it seem less uniform.

When will you fuckers wake up and realize bricklink is legit over charging you for half of the shit they sell. There is no volume on any of these shit either so they sellers get away with hording a bunch and then upcharging. When you can literally get it for a cheaper price on fucking ebay or at a lego convention.

Bricklink is not your friend. It is were sellers go to charge you more than the shit actually cost. Don't believe me look at the sellers who ordered the minifigure parts from the chinese sets directly from Lego than flipped for x3 on bricklink

I once had a minifigure that came with a parachute. It came by itself, and the parachute was permanently attached to the helmet. Also I think the minifigure wasn't possible to take apart, I don't remember... all I remember was that the parachute had a military camo design and that he looked like an aviator or something... maybe.

Speaking of Tron, you can order a lot of the unique pieces from the set direct from Lego. Cracklink is either more expensive or or in the case of the torsos slightly cheaper with less stock and a minimum buy price that more than wipes out whatever you save. Shame they don't have Rinzler's torso but you can get his helmet if you're into that sort of thing. They also don't offer any of the legs, which is a shame.

It's not a great find unless you really want to make some Tron dudes or, like me, figure you can make an interesting space faction out of them. Having a bunch of the discs is nice too.
