Yeah, Skiing Galvy is my pic, the only kreo I have out at the moment are him, Springer and I think Barricade, placed in an assortment of things on the top of a shelf somewhere. I still have the rest including most of the combiners, I just don't have the room for the whole set anymore. For a while I had them all on lego risers in rows, shit looked nice.

timing was a massive issue too, Hasbro/Botcon just blacklisted selling any fan art or merc from their conventions the same time Kre-o a not Lego brand roled out which soured a lot of the core fans. As for the general market they just didn't see the appeal in lego minibots much like they have little appeal for non transforming figures

I bought one of the dino guys and repurposed them as Dinoforce. Used the parts for the red bug guys for some customs I don't remember. The blue one's pretty useless customs-wise and weird-looking, I'll admit. Maybe I can get a Blurr out of them, maybe not.

On a brighter note, what is the expected 'gimmick' or 'draw' for the War for Cybertron line after Siege? Prime Wars had combiners, headmasters, then some hodgepodge of pretenders/combiners/primes/whatever. Siege has a lot of shit, but I'm guessing it's the focus on the COMBAT system that is the gimmick, and the Cybertronian modes/battle damage continues.

Personally I'm betting on nostalgia for the 86 movie, since it could easily be the 35th anniversary of the film if if releases in 2021. Proper '86 characters not hampered by being headmasters. Maybe throw in some Targetmasters as well.

The problem with pretenders is that, at least for some of them, their shell has become too iconic for the character to not incorporate it into their core design. Case in point- Bludgeon. He HAS to have his skull samurai look while also being a tank. Separate them and he loses what makes the guy awesome. >>7469492

Well I kept their Kreo thread bookmarked, there were some creative ideas poppin up now and then. Wasn't a fan of the 3d-printed stuff bc too big, grainy, and had to be painted. Apparently proper painting prevents the grainy texture but still. I'm a bit of a purist.

There's a couple ways
1) make the inner bot be micromasters, and have the outer shell just be an articulated action master with a cockpit. These would probably be the deluxe price point, which each size class having a bigger inner robot
2) make the shell flip inside out to reveal the inner robot, who can transform. With the amount of engineering going into siege, this is definitely doable.

To be fair, it kind of helps to know who's in charge when they're running something into the ground. The tfwiki is quite informative, but it also has a lot of issues die to it reading like a writing exercise for a guy who isn't funny. He litters the captions with 'jokes' that often don't land. Every caption for the Bumblebee article is a Bee Movie meme. That could be tolerable, but he's also anal about whatever jokes are written because he thinks Transformers is a high art brand. It just makes the site so unprofessional, and in the worst cases, detrimental to getting information. For example:

That said of the specific cons out there I say Powercon and TFcon have the best groups and networking, people are there to enjoy the fandom and most usually have a network of friends families and whatnot that they bring along. I think the MLPcons were the only one that got really weird/cringe. I went once because it was close to where I live and it was very hard to not laugh or show signs of "the hell?" every other moment. Watching boys act like girl horses was not something I was ready for back then, I was also never at a furry con but I felt that gave me the best idea of what it would be like.

Thats nice, but Megatron is more complexly engineered and probably won't fall over with the slightest movement like PE Megatron.

That’s fair. I think that anon was just trying to make the point that you shouldn’t really compare 3Ps to Takara when it comes to BW as it’s barely been touched by 3Ps.

On a side note there is an mp Dinobot ko coming out by the end of next month for half the price for those who missed it before.
