i loved that cartoon and watched it many times. The ugly heroes had that mutant/tmnt/streetsharks/cool ugly toys feel of that era.

I had quite a few figures from the line, but I never got Punch It or Insaniac. Both of which were my favorite gorgonites so it was pretty disappointing. We just could never find them in stores.

I still remember getting Archer as a gift from my mom. She went out of town on work and stopped by the mall for lunch, turns out there was a toy store there full of Small Soldiers stuff, one of her colleagues asked her if she was going to get me one of those cool monster-hunting-soldier-guys, but nope, she picked Archer. Turns out all that time i spent rambling on about Small Soldiers was not wasted on her ears, she actually knew who the good guys were!

Yeah, if I remember right his bio says the Gorgonites put a chip in him to bolster their ranks like the commandos did with the Barbies.

In the movie David Cross' character is trying to pitch that toyline.

It seriously ramps up. By the time the commandos kidnap Kristie it starts rolling and the third act's battle is awesome. All the cool jerryrigged machines and vehicles the commandos make are super cool and watching dozens of toys getting maimed by humans is pretty fun.

Fun fact, they did make Kip. He was part of the very last wave though, which included another Archer and Freakenstein. All three are stupid rare though. I managed to snag Kip for only 80 although his torso needs some tape to keep it shut. A fair price I'd say since he's around 200 most of the time. Oh, and there was a Scratch It that scaled with the 6 inch toys too. She was sold with the Drill vehicle and you could have her sit on Punch It's back mounted missle launcher.
