If they could manage to relaunch it and match the articulation of jazzware's 1/18th fortnite figures, I'd dump most of my legends with the quickness.

Was great and really satisfying to buy for a while. There was a sweet spot in 2011-2012 where the tooling and articulation was quality and the MSRP was only around $8. The last few years of the line Hasbro did everything they could to force it to fail. Figures became $15 and had McDonald's 90s toy levels of articulation. So I'm glad that version of the line died but it'd be nice if something else that captured the peak quality existed still.

Hard to miss it when Hasbro sabotaged the line to being unlikable in its final years, and its final years is what Hasbro uses to judge whether another 1:18 Marvel line is viable or not.

All the shit they cut out: wrist articulation, torso articulation, thigh swivels, and sometimes the ankles.

The MU line was great at this point.
Better torso joint, ankle rockers that allowed the feet to splay out (MLs started using them a year or two later), and a way better selection of characters.

The only thing they didn't do as good as MLs was the elbows, but some figures did have double joints and looked great too (She Hulk).

Hasbro did a great job in having way more varied bodies, likely because they also used movie bodies which were almost all uniquely made for movie characters.

Stuff like this made them look like almost new figures because of pieces they added.

I was just looking through kijiji and saw someone selling this Maestro figure. My immediate reaction was I wish they made this in 6" scale. I only had Galactus and Sentinel from the MU line but they had some great figures that I wish were upscaled.

It's a cost cutting measure. There's no need for a new body sculpt when an old one fits.

There were more than a few villains in the MU line. I think most of the comic packs were half and half, and then the normal singles were like 1 villain per five heroes in a wave.

And since it was like 2 waves per season, all those villains added up.

Also, the movie lines added to the 1:18 Marvel collections.

I miss the value that Toy Biz gave you. The modern Legendary Riders figures really bother me because of what Toy Biz had already done with figures like Ghost Rider and Blade.
I also loved that we got so many unique sculpts in those days.
But I don't miss a vast majority of their figures as a lot of them were weird gangly messes by today's standards.
That said I don't think Hasbro released a better Spider-Man mold than really any of the Toy Biz molds until that Sunfire buck they used for 2099.
I miss Toy Biz's business practices but not most of their figures, outside of a very small, select few.

I mostly miss Toybiz for the extra shit they managed to pack in with the figure, both with their oversized bafs and diorama pieces. I think Sauron might be as close that hasbro has gotten to their BAFs.
