Starriors was a robot toyline created by Tomy in association with Marvel Comics in 1984. They were based on Zoids, but had a new storyline that U.S. Zoids had not had at all. Six Marvel mini-comics were distributed with the toys. That's from Wikipedia, but I had those toys years after they came out. I didn't know what they were because I got them loose, but I later learned that Bill Sienkiewicz, at the height of his 80's New Mutants fame, actually did the covers for the comics.

Nobody I know remembers the Sky Commanders. I had all of them, unfortunately I was also gifted with very bratty and destructive brothers. They even managed to wreck my Bionic 6 collection, my Inhumanoids and my Robo Force robots.

I own one as well, I got her MIB and opened it.

Her body is actually 5 PoA with click knees.

As for accessories, she comes with a fabric cape, diecast shield that can be used as cloth pin, helmet , molded skirt armor, brush and Katana.

Even for her time she was amazing and loaded, way better than overrated Sh-Ra.

I’ve been a fan of Starriors and have not seen those. I know a few years ago there was a robot collector brought up old Toy Fair catalogs he brought up on eBay. They were loaded with unreleased or sometimes quite different protos of stuff from all the great toylines of the 80s.

It was mind blowing seeing the wave 2 vehicles for Wheeled Warriors and the figures that looked like Jayce and the cast from the cartoon or that giant dinosaur for He-Man that was never released. That group might be from that category.

There was a really good He-Man customiser who was going to make these out of She-Ra MOTUC figures. Sadly I think he lost interest as it’s been years since he talked about it.

I see these time to time at toy shows. The box of the main girl is awesome. Something about her having that gem above her pusy makes me diamonds.

I've always had a soft spot for the Inhumanoids. I don't think they are quite as forgotten and obscure as they once were, which is great. These toys and the associated TV series deserve more fans. The cartoon was way ahead of its time.

Probably not. Hasbro mostly floats on licenses now(TF is a license from Tomy, ignore anyone who says otherwise), while their own brands have either failed at retail or they let them fade. The few recent acquisitions(MMPR, Peppa Pig) are still riding on prior success to sell and Hasbro is pushing to break even on buying them.

The second series of Starriors was released but probably not too widely as sadly the line didn't sell well. There was the 6 figures as well as Twinhorn and Windstorm who could be ridden by the figures. There's lots of images available of them and you can find some on ebay. I think I had Backfire and the transfer rings as a kid.

I miss Air Raiders, MASK, Dino Riders, Sky Commanders.
Anything in that general scale. You got so much play value for your buck but didn't have the loss in detail you would have if you went smaller.

As much as I love Kenner/Hasbro 3 3/4 scale, the 2-3 inch scale had cooler playsets and vehicles and you could pack so many more into a cluttered bed room.

I agree with that...preference for the 70s-90s incarnation of Microman, wasnt overly keen with the "new" 2000-versions desu, too much chrome accessory garbage
