>>8095706>poorfag third worlder mentalityGeez, you sound like my brother who thinks i don't appreciate books because i read over a page per minute.
Or for a food analogy, it's like saying we're spoiled and don't taste our food because we can eat three meals a day.
This is simply retarded and unempathic (psychopath).
I hate to break it to you, but most people here buy toys because we want to recreate shit we see in comics, movies, cartoons, books, real life, and who knows other fantasy shit.
Unlike most casualfags on /toy/, i can actually tell you the history of various characters from multiple universes, multiverses, different brands, and who knows what else.
In order to recreate shit we see in comics, we don't want one or even five figures. We want them all, because they're characters we love and just thought they looked cool as fuck. We want to bring these characters to life ourselves, with a little imagination.
This has nothing to do with capitalism or consumerism.
It's for the love of characters and story.
That's what fandom is... or at least, should be.
Also, you sound like a fanboy for consumerism, considering you're putting down toys just because they're cheap, despite the fact that they aim for accuracy as well (when they're new molds anyway) and the toy makers show their own fanboyism for the characters by getting their own favorites made.
Even then, some people can over look a little inaccuracy because their favorite character finally got a figure made.
