It's rough out there. It seems some stores are still putting out new figures, others sitting on their stock, while others have closed off non-essential areas all together.

There's also issues with international shipping it seems. Still, the toys are out there in some fashion, just depends on your area and your determination.

I live in a state where they don't sell much in the way of toys in stores. So I didn't shop for around a month before the lockdown. Three weeks in I started to want to go shopping but I figured it'd be the same empty shelves so I didn't. They keep ratcheting up restrictions though.

Now it's like you have to wear a mask, you can only shop in a 5-hour window, only X customers allowed in at the same time, there are arrows on the floor to direct traffic, and everything but food rings up as unsellable. WTF wants to deal with that?

Whats the first wave you ever finished? For me its the super skrull wave, Johnny and Sue are gonna arrive this week and im pretty happy this is the first wave ive ever finished, ive been collection legends for a year but there’s never been a time where I felt like “shit, I really want all those figures in that wave” I mainly just cherry picked certain figures from a wave.

The only wave I've ever completed was the Space Venom wave. And I really only completed it because I got the whole set for around $10 each on Walmart's website and since I wanted Electro, Hobgoblin, and both Ultimate Spideys, I figured I might as well complete the BAF. Glad I did, Space Venom ended up being a pretty solid figure actually.

First wave I completed entirely was the Hobgoblin wave, but that was when the Absorbing Man wave was coming out. I’m missing some figures from the waves I’ve completed now, but the first full wave I completed at one time was the Space Venom wave. In hindsight, great decision, since it’s pretty much the only wave I’ve never seen in stores for the most part.

There's nothing saying social distancing is actually helping, though.
The Netherlands had one of the lowest death rates in Europe and they barely did anything. They advised to stay at home but didn't enforce it at all.

Tasky's actually really cool, but I recommend doing the mod I did and sanding the inderside of the shoulder armor bits round so they don't scrape off the gunmetal paint on the upper arms when posing. I had to repaint mine because of that design flaw, but have had no issues since the mod.

The Netherlands has 250 recovered patients and over 3k deaths. Social distancing isn’t to prevent infection, it’s the prevent the rate of infection. With their small population, hospitals can actually tend to a large number of people at once. For context, they have over 50k hospital beds, and 17 million people. 340 people per bed at any given time.
The US has 328M people and 900k beds, with half of those dedicated to intensive care. 364 people per bed. We need social distancing more than they do.

They're not. You've been meme'd. If the issue was that China won't allow the movie if a character has a skull face, they'd remove the skull elements altogether, but they're still there. Assuming you're not trolling and interested in knowing more / a legitimate answer:

There's a vaguely worded passage in the law that forbids any products that promote supernatural/superstitious ideas or occult religious doctrine. Companies looking to sell shit in China are considered by individual judges or committees on an individual basis, which makes it very hard to predict if your product will raise eyebrows or not based on past precedents. Maybe the last one got lucky. Maybe this judge doesn't give a shit. Or maybe he's in a bad mood and wants to tell someone to fuck off.

Basically, because the law is vaguely phrased, if someone has a hateboner for your product, they can bend the law and use it to cockblock you.

Because China is a huge market, the "safe" choice is usually to self-censor products (video games, books, movies, whatever) in a way that avoids tempting someone trying to shut it down using the vague law as a reason. It's not always necessary, but it's just easier/more profitable for companies to do it this way than fix it after the fact.

Ghost busters, for example, got curbstomped because it's assumed to be promoting christian ideals and christian superstition in how the ghosts/demons look and behave.

I have some wild conjecture for you.

Considering Black Widow's wave includes Yelena and Red Guardian, (as well as winter solider for good measure) it's a little odd that Rachel Weisz's head didn't show up in the wave or one of the various black widow exclusives as an option to complete the four-man super spy family/team. Hasbro is usually pretty good at completing sets (overdrive not withstanding) even if it's with a random "close enough" headswap.

Further considering imdb and wikipedia do not include taskmaster in the cast list (although it's rumoured that O-T Fagbenle is the actor wearing the taskmaster suit), I'm going to jump ahead and assume that he's a red herring and the climactic reveal is that Melina (or maybe Yelena) is the taskmaster all along, in the same way Ghost was genderswapped.

The thigh mold is flesh tone and hasbro is too cheap to paint them. So just sand it away, going from low to high grit. At first the sanded part will look lighter due to stressed plastic. Don't panic and keep going with the higher grit up to 600 grit, and then give it a quick wash it'll look smooth and nice

I've seen one guy who cast that head. I saw someone on Instagram who cast a bunch of Red Hulk, but in red and not Green for some reason. What I'd like to see is all the heads cast in the different colors but also with the hair of the others. So take the 80th, SDCC and Grey, give them the hair from Red and Cast it in red. Then do the others in the same vein. At the very least I'd like to see the SDCC and Red Hulk with the 80th's hair and cast in green, and the 80th in Red with his hair.

Unfortunately that is waaaaay to much fucking work for really anyone to put up with I think.

I also want someone to make a cast of the pipe the SDCC and Grey Hulk have, but thats more because I'm working on a Rick from Splatterhouse and I need a weapon for him and I think that would work perfectly.

Its just easier to color match if its already in a similar hue. Good enough casters can sometimes match the color enough that you don't have to paint aside from hair, eyes etc.

I actually don't mind the concept of a Venomized Cap, I just wish they went with this version.instead.
When the announcements were made I initially only saw names and not pictures and was hopeful it would be this version; Can't say i was disappointed, just not as enthused about it.

I am also looking forward to Mysterio. I'm hoping he still retains the removable helmet that his first release had. I have recently been working with cotton, wires and glue to create smoke effects for my friend's models and am tempted to try up-scaling the method to work with Mysterio.

This new Mysterio looks to just be a repaint. The helmet is attached to the cape on the old one, so I don’t know if that ruins your plans with the smoke, but it could be removed if you heat it up, I’m sure.
And yeah I wish we got that cap too. It’s weird how “Venomized” can either mean A) a black and white monster version of your costume (the superior choice) or B) a goopy dark colored version of your existing costume, but now you have white eyes, teeth, and claws.

For example, the new Gwenom is option A. The new venomized miles and cap are option B. And the image you posted is also option A, and therefore preferable.

Sunspot and Warpath have me pumped, X-Force has a huge roster but I’m ready to knock them out. And I agree, the rest of the wave are kinda duds to me. I am excited by Maverick, mostly because I collect the 90’s stuff and he looks to be on the Sinister body, but the rest do nothin for me. I was really hoping for more Uncanny X-Force stuff, like Nightcrawler, Psylocke, or Fantomex.

I remember really disliking maverick when he first showed up in the comics, he was too much of an edgelord for me back then and ineas a huge edgekord, so I dunno, to each there own. And X-Force does have a ton of members, but in my mind, the core members missing from the roster (after sunspot and warpath are released) are really only Feral (who can double as an X-Factor Wolfsbane) and Rictor. Rusty and Skids were new mutants who died early, and everyone else got away from the early core roster. Unrelated to teams, I would love a Spiral, and an updtaed Mojo.

Yeah, definitely. After Sunspot and Warpath, we for sure need Siryn, Wolfsbane, and Rictor. And a new Cannonball ideally. To be honest, I’d hope they stick with the first iteration of costumes, because the team you posted has different looks for everyone and I could easily see Hasbro double dipping. But Boom Boom had a better costume on the second go round, and it could be reused for a 90’s Domino, which is the only member I’d want in addition to the ones you posted.
I know very little about Maverick, I just know he was on Team X and he looks cool. That’s about all I need for a toy, but I figured he won’t be a super popular choice for most people.

Well, with the Legends we have so far, that other image has different costumes for Cannonball, Shatterstar, Boom Boom, Sunspot, and Warpath. My issue is that I like the ones we’ve got, like on the cover of X-Force #1, but I don’t have any interest in buying second versions of them in the newer costumes. Except, I like Domino more in her second costume than her first one, which is the lame one on X-Force #1.

Oh, yeah, i mean, i posted the secons image just because it had Siryn, Rictor and Sunspot whom inconsider to be integral to the team. I am fairly costume agnostic, except for specific things. I'm not a fan of the Kitty Pride/Dani Moonstar big yellow X modern costume. I dont think they fit with the 90s stuff. You're right, all the characters we have so far + Sunspot and Warpath are like 92~94 costumes, which is fine.

I was originally just going to go for a Jim Lee Gold/Blue shelf, but then i saw the Havok + Polaris set, and heard there was going to be a BAF strong guy along with that Sunspot (who was one of my favorites) and i needed an X-Factor and X-Force shelf to go along with it. His head and torso are. It's like some kind of coating over a hard body sculpt. My only complaint about him is that mine has an insanely loose ab crunch and twnds to slump forward when I don't want him to. I dripped Pledge floor polish into the joint once, but it didn't help much.

I mean that’s just it, I don’t want bigger tits on a figure because I like it so much, I want them because I want it to look like the art. Dagger and Emma Frost look like they’ve had reductions or something, it’s weird. And they had to go out of their way to make new torsos for that.
Fact is, Shart spends time in his reviews being creepy and talking about the figures’ boobs, and butts, and feet. Never mind how much he hassles the guys at every con about tons of stuff. He might have their ear but he throws so many requests at them that I can’t imagine they have a great relationship, certainly not one good enough to request bigger boobs.
Idk I have mixed feelings about the whole thing, but I wish they’d just keep using the same chest piece that’s on that stupid skinny body everyone hates. At least it’s busty.

I got the X-Force box set back in the day but I'd totally spring for a new Archangel.
For as small a change as it was I think swapping the normal Bucky Cap boots for Carnage's feet made a big difference on the deluxe version. I'd love to see a deluxe X-Force set packed with the alt heads, maybe swap out the fists for some Black Panther claw hands and throw in a new gun arm for BAF Apocalypse or finally give us a retracted wings piece.
