Because it's a toy board and we collect toys that are often found on store shelves. It's a good way to show what's hitting, more than just saying "hey I saw this here trust me guys." It's fun getting context and seeing what the rest of the country has going on sometimes.

Not in my area. All 4 Targets in my area are always bare and one store cut down the section to only about a foot next to the 5 foot space for POPS.

They literally are making a Doc Brown, it was confirmed in one of the recent interviews. They had to wait to show it off because getting the full OK on the licensing took longer than with Michael J Fox and Thomas Wilson.

Well, with Ninja Turtles, they're forced into doing exclusivity because of how the license deal they have works so they aren't in toy aisles with Playmates, that's apparently the big stipulation right now.

With a lot of the other things, their deal with Target seems to be doing well enough, cause they have done several Target exclusives now. It's frustrating for some, no doubt, but it shows a healthy working relationship if Target wants to take these things on to get the foot traffic.

Looks to me a lot like the original design. I know that original has different variations depending on which model it was, but the long face, underbite, and bright eyes are a dead giveaway.

Apparently the Alpha Predator got a surprise early release today via BBTS, Amazon, and NECA's eBay page.

It's cool looking but can't drop 40 bucks tonight, so I'm hoping it goes to Target eventually.

As happy as I am to get new shit from neca, I kind of wish they'd put some attention on their other licenses. Future War John Connor, Kyle Reese, Clarence Boddicker, Kaine, etc would all be welcomed surprises. They've only done four Kenner Terminators so far, and there was a lot of crazy shit in that old line.

Its kind of cool, but it honestly feels pretty light. Its huge though. Like, almost two feet long with the blade parts in it. All the mounted guns and weapons that attach to it can be taken off and used as actual weapons by Preds.

Unfortunately, it was made so that the Viper Predator is really the only one who can ride it properly. Most other ones just don't really fit.

It seems Neca always makes the same version of Godzilla Bandai makes for their Monsterarts line. They both released their GMK's, 54 Goji's, Shin Goji's and King Goji's roughly the same time. Or they release a version that Bandai already released in their Monsterarts line before Neca started making them. Only one I can think of that wasn't a Monsterarts that Neca made is the 84 Goji. I think there's probably some licensing going on there. They may continue to release figures like this, so what ever Bandai announces I guess?

Check your local Targets, me and my gf discovered one of the biggest restocks I've ever seen. Walked out with a Part 4 Jason and Jungle Hunter for myself, and then a vs Freddy Jason for her.

Also, has anyone just had shit luck with Jungle Hunters? I've bought every release so far because my first one was missing a row of dreads on the mask head, that one was the first release. Then my second one, which, seemed to have an entirely different (and better) paint job, besides the mask which they somehow fucked up, that one's wrist blade upper bit that holds them in fell off, then I glued it in, then the fucking blades broke off, then one half of the arm was a frozen joint.

Now for my third one, it looks like they've almost gone back in time a bit? The quality is much higher but the paint doesn't feel nearly as accurate as the second release, and his neck feels squatter, the second release had a longer neck.

Rant over, but anyway, does anyone else notice the running changes on these figures or am I touched?

They definitely change the paint. The newer versions of the Ultimate Jungle Hunter and City Hunter actually had some updates to the figure anyway, like changing from the old ball wrists to the newer swivel/hinge and a few other things.

The paint definitely varies even from figure to figure in the same run, but they're definitely different in the newer runs compared to the older, original Ultimate JH.

If you look at the newest run the neck has been changed as well - the neck is now thicker and more.. bulbous? Rounded out, compared to the first swivel wrist update. I think the second run had way better paint unfortunately, no idea what’s going on with this newer one. Straight up left the pegs unpainted.

I had to dig mine out. I have one of the earlier runs, the first run where they changed the wrist pegs. His joint pegs are all painted. Maybe they either got lazy, or that new one you got just has some paint missing.

Its annoying when these toy companies don't paint the pegs and they stick out because they're they're an off color.

Most Predators barely fit, and there's a panel that you swing up, put the pred in, and then swing down that covers their head. I doubt the Xeno's big dick head could fit in there, or at the very least you wouldn't be able to close it up properly.

What they need is to make more fucking monsters but Neca believes it’s a gamble (psst, it’s not). They got the license to Mothra and Rodan, they could easily make era figures of those and you could easily reuse the molds. Neca just isn’t smart with their Godzilla license.

The godzillas at all my targets won’t move for shit except the Godzilla Vs King Kong Godzilla (which is an amazing figure and I love mine) the problem is that they are releasing the same character and only Godzilla (because of licensing reasons, I know) but that’s the thing. Unless you’re a Godzilla collector, you’re not going to shell out for every iteration of Godzilla, even though they all look unique. You’re gonna pick two, maybe three. The one that shelfwarms the hardest in my area is the Godzilla vs Spacegodzilla one. The ones that sell consistently (At least in my area) are the poster version, vs King Kong, and Vs Mothra

This is what I've wanted for the now 6 fucking years of them holding the license. After the 12'' 2014 I was really hoping they'd do a 12'' 94 at least; I'd be happy with just a 12'' Heisei version. but they never made another one in that scale, let alone 1/4 scale(which would be fantastic)

Also some of the hands, some not all, are SUPER loose.

So great sculpt and paint, good articulation outside of the areas where the armor hinders it.

Awkward to stand and pose. Top heavy. Can't really display him in certain ways since his weapon holding hand peg is too small, it's so loose it can't hold the weapon properly. I feel like legs are going to get loose overtime and one leg is SLIGHTLY longer than the other which drives me nuts. The bone blade thing on his right arm likes to pop off.

Not a terrible figure, cool design, but he's just okay. The past few NECAs I've gotten have been 10/10s so this guy is kinda disappointing in comparison.

The regular Fugitive Predator and the Camo (thermal) version are the only two that are straight up the same. The lab escape has like an entirely new upper half, and the Emissary Predators share no parts at all with the Fugitive.

Do the emissary predators sell well? I’m curious because I’m imagining they don’t . They were cut from the film and they don’t even have any predator tech aside from the masks. They wear human made armor and carry human made weapons. On the one hand, that makes them unique , but on the other hand it makes them not really fit in with other predators in a collection (not to mention it makes them look kind of boring. Oooh an assault rifle and camo armor. Whoopdee shit. Doesn’t seem terribly intimidating when the standard for predators are shoulder mounted plasma casters and arm blades

Yes, it's a completely unique design...and not accurate to the movie since they swapped the suit out for a CGI model right before the movie was to be released.

The Predator was such a shit movie, that its hard to even begin to fathom that it could have been worse. But supposedly there was some sub plotline where a group of Predators was working with the military to hunt down rogue Preds, and badbloods on Earth in exchange for Earth tech and weapons.

There were actually some scenes filmed and tons of pics of the guys in costume, so it seems like something barely got cut from the movie.

As for the figures....they're kind of blah, but I actually really like the colored highlights on them. Especially the purple one. They also have unique heads, which is really weird, but the heads both look kinda nice.

He also hates a few other horror movies that fans have asked figures of and he just says he doesn't like them or "no interest" instead of "not profitable/no market" which would at least sound like a corporate excuse instead of just things being decided on how he feels about the franchise

I can't even guess, I know in my area, the Evil Dead refresh didn't start showing up till AFTER my stores had put out the "new" shipment of stuff. So things are still being put out, it really must depend on your store. I don't even know if they're stocked by Electronics.

Went to Walmart today wanting a Tech Noir Terminator but there was only one with really bad paint on the default head so I left it behind. Parts of the hair were flesh colored when they should've been brown. I am disappoint.

I know I had to pick and choose when I picked up the T2 Arnie back in December but I was able to get the best painted out of three of them. That Tech Noir is the only one I've seen so far so hoping I can find some more.

Now that i'm thinking about it, it's pretty much inevitable they will do a re-release or "ultimate" version that looks like the original toy, they could do the light piped head, gold accents and the original accessories. If NECA doesn't Super7 probably will.
