How do you guys treat your lego? Do you hide it in boxes and occasionally play with them? Do you display them? If yes, how do you display them? I'm worried that all my sets will turn to dust soon because avoiding sunlight is impossible if I want to actually see them, I don't want to waste money on plastic toys that I can't even display in my room

Honestly, I'm kinda glad Bionicle didn't win, if only for the fact that 'm trying to focus on my backlog of minifigs and parts for existing displays and desu, can if the set was amazing and the minifigs looked great, it would all consist of 2021 quality plastic and just disintegrate in three years. At least if I collect older stuff it'll last. That, and I just don't have the shelf space. Silver lining, I suppose. I already got to relive my childhood with G2 so it's no big deal.

A few things to note about it: Some of the parts aren't available in that shade of green, it's pretty fragile, so you might want to do something to reinforce it, and the suspension is messed up, the wheels will rub against the frame unless you put some pieces under the hood or something to keep the wheels down.

If anyone wants Halo 3 Warthog or Hornet instructions, reply to this post with your email & I'll send you the MEGA file. It comes with 3 different Warthog builds (Warthog, Gausshog and Transporthog) as well as separate parts lists for each one that allows you to upload the parts right to Bricklink for ease of purchaee. I miss the early era of YouTube and other sites where Lego literally dominated alongside skit channels like Smosh and the people who made Retarded Policeman/Chad Vader

I spent a good chunk of my childhood watching Brickfilms and Lego-related videos; they inspired my creativity and made me want to get into stop motion myself (I've got an archive of over 2k Brickfilms on my PC just so they're saved lol)

It sucks to see that the Lego community is full of drama loving fags who jerk off to Star Wars and do nothing creative with the sets they buy; they may as well just buy model kits at this point

Fuck MandR the most, he influenced this more than anyone

Yes I do exactly that with my 2 accounts.
On a browser they did a recent update, you need to log out and then it takes you to a login screen where you can pick between your accounts. If you save your password you just need to press a button to login.
On android it's even quicker.

I used 3% and it worked, just leave it soaking in the sun for a day. Keep an eye on it if you're restoring grey or blue though, it's easy to go too far with those. You don't need to check up on white as its not going to get whiter than white.

I don't know if this whole yellow/brown discussion is a big troll or not, but the simple fact is that in Lego original themes, yellow represents all races, and there are no other skin tones except for fantasy characters like green goblins or white vampires. Fill a bucket with parts, use warm water with dish soap and white vinegar, let it soak and then use a toothbrush to scrub the bricks

Then plug your kitchen/bathtub/bathroom sink drain & use a water strainer to catch the bricks into while letting the water out into the sink, then rinse with warm water for a few minutes by running the tap

To dry, lay all the pieces out on a towel on the floor; use a small portable fan like pic related to dry them by letting it run for a few hours - you can shake the pieces around in the towel to get excess water out of beforehand, but make sure you dont leave an opening for pieces to fly out of

I've cleaned countless used sets this way and it restores the bricks to a very nice condition

How does one even get a Lego backlog? Backlogs make sense when you've got more involved model kits to build but Lego's so easy, relaxing and quicker to build along to the instructions, even if you've got larger sets. Caved and got D.Va at full price today, there were only two on the shelf so I decided to do it before they were all gone. It looks great! Super cute, even without any stickers. The other guy is in the bag still. Don't care about him.
