I just hope they try and do some sort of scaling. As I really don\'t want a 6 inch Bee next to my six inch prime.

Additionally I don\'t mind the fact they don\'t Transform.. i\'m not a kid anymore. Oh sure when I was like 9 years old I looked for every excuse to transform them in all of my make believe stories there was always a reason to do it every 5 mins.. but what an I 4 or 40?! I don\'t sit arround and go pew pew and make them go at each other anymore. Now it\'s about having a bad ass looking shelf for me with as accurate to the cartoon as possible figures and I am hoping these will be it.

The only part of the Unicron trilogy that might need updates is Armada. Both Energon and Cybertron had models lifted directly from the toys themselves. Also, the plastic was better quality back then and the toys also had electronics. New toys would probably be worse than the old toys.

In Armada, only the first form of Megatron is cool.
He's got a great beetle aesthetic going on and has a sexy voice. Not as sexy as 10-packs-a-day G1 Megs' voice - and with much less Starscream abuse.

What's better? Staring at a single image with only mouth movements animated for half an hour, or the same thing, only it's trying to take itself seriously? And you know, this is the whole problem with you remake numpties. You lost the magic of the original because you never had it. Rather than respecting your grandfather that gave you shows like Armada - that have the animation quality of Mermaid Melody - you just want to compare your tat with the incomparable. None of your shows have the saturday morning cartoon magic. You all missed the point.

Because it was SUDDENLY serious. That's why. Do you have any fucking clue how many movies tried to copy the g1 movie's formula afterwards? I like the g1 movie, but even I can admit that it's all over the place, a train wreck - but it's nicely animated g1 characters. It adds a new bad guy, it kills off a ton of bots for no good reason. It has a very random plot. It has a fantastic soundtrack, better than anything that's been made since for TF. G1 movie is not good because it's a good movie. It's good because it's well animated fan service.

Could I get some opinions on the various Masterpiece figures that have multiple molds? I already have the original MP-01 Prime, but I'd quite like to get one that's in scale with most of the others. I think both MP-10 and MP-44 look good, but I don't know if the cartoon accuracy alone is enough to justify the price difference.

Bumblebee 1.0 is probably the better figure DESU. Sure he's less cartoon accurate but he doesn't look like a car crash from any angle that isn't straight on, also he manages to go from G1 robot to realistic VW Beetle without a ball-crushingly bad transformation. He's also cheaper.

MP-28 looks good in both modes but I don't find the transformation all that fun. I've always felt nervous about scratching paint, too. It's not dipped in paint or anything but there's enough there to make me nervous.

You can use Tamashii stages or Gunpla stands for Transformers since they have the 3mm peg hole both have.

MP-10 is fucking amazing and still holds up´, Transformation is complex, but still chunky and nice.
MP44 is ultra faithful to the animation model but has so many issues with paint, joints and is a fucking nightmare to transform.

If you're wanting a cartoon prime and don't need it to be an MP or transformable and is American look into the RED Prime, it's 6inches so might not scale at all with other MPs but hey, it's an option.

The First MP Bee is really good, had to sell mine for money but it was amazing, so amazing they reused lots of designs from it for the Earthrise Cliffjumper mold.
The second one is the worst extreme of cartoon accuracy.

I don't think MP-45 looks too bad in either mode. The transformation is just a tedious melange of hinges and for the price it's hard to be interested. But I'll readily admit I've never been a big fan of the MP line, even before things started getting animation heavy with MP-36.

Please tell me how Bee 2.0 is just as good as something like Sunstreaker or Megatron without a fucking waist swivel and no ab crunch.

The only one we know of. Bumblebee of all characters being an exclusive is an odd choice. Kingdom will probably have a Bumblebee, but it most likely will not be the Cliffjumper mold -- which may or may not be a shame.

There at are new ones being made but ignoring that for a second, Transformers is at a point where it has so many generations and characters that it doesn't news to make new ones.
The issue though is they get stuck in the sunbow season 1/2 cast a lot but that seems to be changing now.

the simpel answer is because old names sells and also to keep copyright on the old names, the UT did this a lot, basically new characters with old names just to keep the copyright on them active.
New Characters are being made but it's not as many as when the brand started.
