Don't play video games anymore but GI Joe would be a good premise for a team based multi player first person shooter.

At least it seems many people are pissed at this situation given all the comments on the pictures of the figured they posted last night. So Hasbro is going to have to address this. Though I hope they don't wait until another Friday livestream like they did with the Ntwrk Cobra Commander fiasco. These better be decently available in person.

I get the feeling the Cobra trooper is more of an officer type since he has that armband and all those accessories. I think the mass retail release will be more stripped down, so I'd be happy to just get at least one of these and Beach Head at an actual store and then hope Hasbro never does these exclusives with them again. Just put them on Pulse and Amazon. Wal Mart and Target can't handle this shit apparently.

I think he's ABLE to be an officer. He's got various things to suit various needs. Rather than package and sell separate Trooper, Sharpshooter, and Officer figures, they're just selling a catch-all.

This is what they should have done, especially since they already have knockoffs of Duke and Firefly. I would have expected them to at least do Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow from the upcoming movie just to make kids aware of the brand.

I can't confirm that with Roadblock, but I just got a little armory gun for Duke and it fits alright. I feel like the Maurauder Inc. gun fit a tad better. I ended up giving my Roadblock the LMG from the Dark Fate Terminator figure.

I hope to find this guy in stores. Online has too much shenanigans going on, and I'd wager that Target didn't put up enough figures for their online pre-orders. I'd say the positives for this is that it demonstrates to Target and other retailers that Joes do sell.

But it is for kids though, they spent a couple years researching and even asking kids what they prefer to pick designs they would buy.
I think they're trying to appeal to both markets here since they actually seem to want to G.I. Joe to be successful again rather than jusr being collector focused.

I'd disagree. During 50th, G.I. Joe was gone from retail, except at Toys R Us, because nobody would carry Joes unless they had a movie or media of some kind backing the property. Toys R Us however continued the line, because they always sold Joes and had had Joes as store exclusives since the 90's when Hasbro began testing out a Joe revival. Sure, Joes sold, but that was in the past. And now with a new movie in the works, a game that's coming out, and a new cartoon that's supposedly being developed, along with a mobile game, Joes are getting a second bite at the apple when it comes to retail. Also these are aimed at kids, but I doubt any kids have managed to find any with all the adults buying them up like crazy with the trickle of figures that are currently available.

Kids didn't have their parents up at 6am on the west coast today to pre-order these figures. You know who I see in the toy aisles every day when looking for these figures? It ain't little boys, but dudes my age (early thirties) and older. Just as it was during the 25th and PoC eras.

I'm not against them doing everything they can to get kids interested. I WANT them to be into Joes. I'm saying they just need to embrace that the collectors are the ones carrying this brand and they need to listen to this community when it comes to shortcomings and grievances such as shortpacking army builders, retailer exclusive waves, etc. If we're having this much trouble getting these toys, then what hope do kids wandering in the aisle of a Target on a Saturday have?

This, something seems fishy. I've seen items sell out fast, this seemed more like it was moved to sold out as soon as it was listed as available. The Cobra Trooper and Baroness I absolutely see selling out in a minute. But you're telling me Roadblock sold out at the same rate as the trooper? And there wasn't even a site crash? Its almost as if they put up 25 pre-orders for each one. Its just really odd, i've never seen a rapid pre-order sell out of this nature, hell I haven't seen anyone say they got anything. There's always a handful of people that say they got it. Even with the Back to the Future Transformer, and that only had 1985 figures. You're telling me that Target put up less than that? It seems more likely they would prioritize exclusives to sell in their retail stores to get customers to come in and buy other things, rather than just shop for one or two exclusives on their website. There was one guy on Hisstank who managed to get a Roadblock, but that's all I heard about anyone getting anything, and the guy is even mentioned in the recent Full Force Podcast, discussing how he managed to get one single Roadblock. I've yet to see any stories from anyone else about getting anything. You of course have the ebay scalpers however who managed to get some, but how many figures were there in the first place for pre-order? 1,000? Less? 500?

At 8:59 it said "coming soon." I hit refresh at exactly 9:00, the page loads up, and says "sold out." I couldn't believe it, I figured, maybe there was a lag or something, that it was transitioning in their system to being available, and that it would just take a minute, so I refreshed over and over again for 5 minutes, confused, thinking about how there's no way it sold out in a fraction of a second. It wasn't even half a minute. It wasn't even 15 seconds. It wasn't even 10 seconds. They were gone in a blink of an eye. I didn't get mad about it like others, because I figured I'd see them at retail, since I always manage to locate Target exclusives for the most part with enough diligence. I think these will be found and it's far too early to even consider paying scalpers for them, when they're street dated for three weeks from now. Anyone buying them now off of ebay is getting ahead of themselves-- they wont get the figures any sooner, and by the time the 14th comes around I'm certain more and more people will locate the figures and the prices will fall on ebay, so don't go paying $180 for a Baroness figure that the scalper doesn't even have, when you could get her at retail for $40 or even online later at a more reasonable after market price. Those seeker two-packs are a good example of this.

He stuffed Earthrise/Siege figures into a Walmart exclusive Netflix line, and into Studio Series, branding it as Studio Series '86, and put figures on Hasbro Pulse, and on Amazon and exclusive to Target.

Probably the same deal with Joes. You end up with more than 3 or 4 new figures a wave then. You're getting these 4 new Target figures for wave 2, plus an Amazon exclusive Storm Shadow, plus Wave 2's retail release, plus Profit Director Destro.

That's not entirely true. Some of the exclusives...yes, but not all. Hasbro did produce some things that were meant directly for Pluse to get fans to check out their site. It's the same concept with the B&M stores. They want eyes on their own site. Stuff like the Hydra Soldier, AIM Soldier, Puffy 2 pack, Green Ranger...all of that was for Pulse. Without stuff like this, Pluse would just be a store for SDCC exclusives like HTS was previously.

People charge quite a premium for them I heard. I saw on a fancy site people have been going through listings and reporting sellers for some preorder violations. Target had a limit of 2 but some of these guys have 5 or 10 of each character. Then looking at their other items to sell, it was all Jordans and Switches.

The Joe fans aren’t going to make much noise but the Star Wars, Legends and Turtles fans are working on it. I guess a NECA stream today was loaded with people yelling about it or oh that’s cool. Too bad I’ll never be able to buy it.

From what I heard about bots it’s set via the link off the store. So say the page for the Joes is pretty much shot. Anytime it comes back in stock, the bots will wipe it clean within seconds. This has been happening with the new He-Man figs. You don’t have a chance. A limited game company has it so bad, they’d spend a whole after a sale going through each order and cancelling the duplicates. They instituted a thing where the moment the sale went live, they’d throw up a different link to throw off the bots.

That's up to Target. Target has to decide what the supply and demand is for them. Such as if they sell 1,000 of them, would they be able to sell another 1,000 if they ordered them? What if the demand was only for 1,001, or 1,500, and they end up stuck with half of what they ordered? It's all on Target with this.

Well a motorcycle with figure and a sizable amount of accessories is only $40, so it stands to reason at either an $80(twice the price) or $100 price tag they could do fairly large vehicles and have a figure still. The Star Wars Snow Speeder was a bit over $100, and was a two seater with a figure included, and you have to take into consideration that Hasbro has the prices on Star Wars jacked up a bit, because they pay a lot to Disney for the license, so the price point of such a set in Classified would probably be lower.

You could reasonably make most Joe vehicles from the 80's at 6-in scale outside of vehicles like the Skystriker or Night Raven, unless they were Haslabs. A Classified Hiss Tank would probably be slightly bigger than the Pursuit of Cobra version, and they could probably sell one for $60-80, if the Baroness set is a price range, since that'd be like buy two motorcycles and two figures if it were $80.

It's like when Force Awakens came out. Many retailers gambled on Star Wars to be a hot seller, so they bought a ton of the first waves of toys, seeing gluts of characters like Constable Zuvio on the pegs as well as gluts of 5poa figures that nobody wanted. And then they gambled again on Rogue One, ended up with tons of Jyn Erso figures, who continues to occasionally haunt pegs to this day! Retailers are guessing when they decide to buy something, and if something sells well, they may decide to buy more, but they're not going to have a general clue on what the demand may be. Super7 discussed this in a video with Pixel Dan, when they were talking about their Glow in the Dark Toxie figure and how it sold out, and how what if they made more of the figure but the demand was only for 50 more figures, or 100 more, and then they were stuck with over 1,000 figures that they wouldn't be able to sell, and they'd have to clearance off the figures and take a hit, because they overestimated what the demand was.

The other day I went to a Walmart because it said they had a Destro in stock. After not finding the Joes out, and hearing that some stores were randomly placing them at endcaps, I tried to politefully ask which aisle it eas in, showing the desk rep the Walmart listing in store. She came back and gave me one of those Titan Hero 12 inch Taskmaster figures. I said thats not what I was looking for, and she just said other employees probably hid it in the store then. Not wanting to cause a fuss or be a Karen I just said thanks and went on about my day. But man, trying to get stuff sure feels like pulling teeth sometimes, while trying not to be a retard harassing people for toys.

Those Amazon Exclusive Black Series figures (Han in Carbonite, thr bounty hunters, Carbonized Darth Vader) all went up on Pulse after Target screwed up the reveal listing. If their us any luck, maybe they'll do the same? It was surprising enough that they at least scrambled together a Light Blue CC variant after the NTWRK debacle.

That's why toy companies always say they need some kind of media, such as a movie to back a toy franchise in order to get them onto store shelves, because retailers want a reason for why they should care and why they should buy the toys and stock them in their stores. They also impose demands on toy companies. Neca for example said GameStop was garbage to work with and that they mandated that they could only produce so many different exclusives to sell in stores per year, and would only order so much of each item, but Neca wanted the shelf space, because they wanted a retail presence, even if GameStop was retarded.

Doubt it, at least in the near future. So far there has been no listing for a code name Mantis figure in standard release, which thanks to the Retro figure we have confirmation that's her code name. The code names seem to be consistent across lines as Tarantula has been used for Snake Eyes in both Retro and Classified. The gold removal was probably a result of all the complaints of gold like at ToyFair, which is probably exactly what happened to CC.
