I didn't want the new Goblin either till I came across it at Target, now I'm glad I picked it up. It just has a lot of extra personality with the new head sculpt that the old one was lacking, and the brighter colors work really well. And since I had the old Goblin I just gave the Norman head to it, so it's not wasteful to get the new one if you already have the old one.

It's actually a new sculpt designed for Matt. Different hair piece and even the rims on the glasses. Also Matt has a more stern expression on him.

He was also paid way more than RDJ for Iron Man 1, ironically, as Downey was considered the wild card. RDJ renegotiated his contract after IM1 and then he wasn’t getting paid as much as Downey, harassed him over it and was all around unprofessional about getting a similar increase. I also believe there weren’t any definite Cinematic Universe plans with every actor remaining the same, they were gonna chop and change them. Shame, as he was a good Rhodey, but that’s what you get I guess.

Mine did. We had Home Economics in Middle School and a class called Steps in High School that taught cooking, banking, sewing, and the rest of the time we just dicked around and watched movies. The teacher would also let us bring an N64 to class on Fridays and we'd all take turns doing four player Goldeneye.

At the time, Howard was gaining traction and was considered a big get for the movies so he was given a significantly higher salary than a regular supporting actor, with the idea he’d be have a starring role in the sequel and probably even higher pay. They stuffed him in the contract for the sequel and he left, which was completely reasonable. They fucked up by offering him so much and expecting him to take less for more work.

Cheadle was offered a more reasonable salary off the bat for the role and thought it was fair because he didn’t have a previous check for the role to compare it to.

I love when people say shit like this. As if you can get high schoolers to care about taxes and insurance. Those are things your parents should be teaching you, same with laundry and cooking. If anything, high school should go until you’re 16, and if your grades aren’t there, you enter a vocational school of your choice. But that would also involve revamping the whole thing from the ground up so we don’t have this stupid assessment testing shit ruining it for kids who didn’t have breakfast that morning.

The problem big issue is that kids now know they can get away with anything. Teachers have been stripped of their authority. Couple that with the boatload of kids who don't want to be in school to begin with, along with that gay state mandated testing, and you've created one giant ineffective waste of time. I guarantee you most kids are learning better from their online courses now than they were with other kids. The future will be a bunch of autismos.

You’re missing the point. If you had an entire class dedicated to “life skills” you’d still have a bunch of bored-ass teenagers. I guarantee that even something you find extremely interesting and fun, let’s say action figures in this case, would be incredibly boring to 99% of the class. That’s just how it is. All the examples in this thread are just a single day where a teacher stopped talking about differential equations and talked about something slightly relevant. Watch the kids’ eyes glaze over as you start talking about deductibles and premiums. Making it interesting depends 80% on the teacher, 20% on the content.

Kids don't respond because from the start of school they are told not to critical think just to remember facts and regurgitate them. Once you get out of high school the whole game changes, half the shit you do doesn't matter, and it turns out to be literally the friends you make and not the grades you bring in.

No, it's not hard to read a single comic book. But you're grossly oversimplifying it. So let's say I buy a Wolverine figure to review. I'm not familiar with the costume or era it comes from. So now I need to go do research on where it came from. Once I figure that out, I need to find out what books cover this event/time period, because American comics are confusing as fuck and in order to read a single storyline you might need to jump from X-Men #375 to X-Factor #84 to X-Force #52, etc. etc. And even after you do all that, you'll probably still get called a dickhead by some 12-year old because you misspelled the name of a weapon or some shit.

It's not fucking worth it. As >>8406790 says, time and money are extremely limited nowadays. A cursory Google about the character and a quick perusal of a Wiki article would be nice, but expecting people to have fully consumed the source material attached to each and every figure is insane.

Honestly I want them to do a Deluxe set like they did wtih War Machine and Black Widow. Give him splayed wall crawling hands, maybe a third and fourth head, give us a ton of new web effects, NOT that shitty "rope" one they keep reusing, something that mimics what imports do where it plugs in around the wrist. Maybe a wall piece or gargoyle he can stand or peg to.

I'd go for a Streetlamp with a bunch of webbing you can fit another figure in, or a wall like you said but with the same web feature to have a character webbed up. I'd also be good with a Daily Bugle Billboard or something.

I think Red Goblin looks 100x better in comic form, the fucking toy looks like trash but I have OCD when it comes to Norman Osborn and it was part of the Kingpin wave so I still considered it a win
And yeah the scale of Iron Patriot is way off, it's more like a 5 inch scale figure, which is weird because the Ultron from that Iron Monger wave is scaled fine with everything that came after

Should I pull the trigger on this guy? I've never own a Mezco before, but I've always been close to buy one (Daredevil, Doctor Strange). I'd get it for Lockjaw if you want him, that's about it. I think their screaming head looks awful, it looks more like he's bored and yawning than anything else. Even the Marvel Legends has a better headsculpt, at least there he looks proper pissed and like he's actually yelling. The Kirby krackle energy sculpt looks better than the Mezco too, which looks like a dumb wispy tuft of hair.

According to reviews, Nimrod's main problem is that the ankles and upper torso articulation is pretty garbage, but the rest of his limb segments are pretty okay for standard big BAF movements. He even has that thing from Iron Patriot where his shoulder pads rotate with the movement of his arms so they won't be in the way. Basically I was worried he was going to be practically a statue, but it looks like he'll at least be a 5/10.

Got Black Tom, he's pretty great, other than the fact that they gave him the same shitty boots as Shatterstar that just don't work as well at the ankles. Also they should have given him an effects piece, it feels like he's missing something without it. I need to find something with the right yellow green at some point.

It depends on the colorist. He’s always been white, with kind of a pink sheen, except in 90’s X-Force where he was straight up red. However, a lot of covers and panels have him looking like the pink in the photoshopped image. I think UXM 194 and 209 do specifically.

The shoulder pads are awesome, not an issue at all.
It’s hard to describe how his legs work, but due to the sculpt, they basically can only kick forward at an angle. Sort of like the old Y-joint figures (agent venom, monster goblin, a bunch of others). His ankles aren’t bad for what you see, he can still stand with his legs pretty far apart, but it is tough getting his feet flat on the ground. His ab joint also spins really well but there’s not a lot of forward and back. Lastly, his energy blasting hands can’t go perpendicular to his arms, so he can’t point his arm at someone and shoot them straight on. He kind of has to aim down like Sentinels do in the comics.

Honestly, I really dig him. I like how he looks a lot. He’s about an inch taller than Apocalupse, so he looks really good. But he’s not going to be kicking dudes while they’re down, his legs just kind of stink.

Order of operations. Multiplication and division occur before addition and subtraction.
The full thing is Brackets->Exponents->Multiplication and Division->Addition and Subtraction.

So the first operation is 3/(1/3). Easiest way to quickly divide a fraction is pretend the other side is also a fraction, so then we have (3/1) / (1/3), and when you divide fractions, you flip one of them and multiply both the numerators and the denominators. So that's (3x3)/(1x1)=9/1=9.

Yeah, it was pretty bad. I'm usually not a fan of random use of metallic plastic, but the new red is so much better I can forgive it. Also, the reshaped eyes (with no black outline this time!), capsule-style bracelets, and larger, more accurate spider symbol are great. I was really unhappy with the first Scarlet Spider, it's amazing that Hasbro went back to fix it.

- Emma's lower legs are an older style, like Thanos Imperative Medussa or the All-Father wave Scarlett Witch.
- Whereas, Jean's rocking the same legs as the Walgreen's Emma. Sturdier suspension.
- I broke out the omnibus, and the colors, esp. the males, are off. Emma's pendant is s'posed to be red too.
We'll see these again. Don't go nuts of this set a pay the ebay'ers. They're probably Hasbro anyway. lol

A toy reviewer should know their subject thoroughly--they should know what all the joint types are called and how they work, know about other lines for the sake of comparison, maybe a little about toy production even. These are the important factors in being able to talk about their field. Whether they call the accessory a "gun" or a "hyper duo ion blaster" is completely irrelevant to how good or bad the toy is.

That's what you have to remember: what is the ultimate purpose of this video? Did you come here to watch a toy review, or did you come to see if this person knows the name of a gun?
