>>8429104It's all a matter of balance really. Sure, MPs have really innovative transformations with like a thousand moving parts, but they're a massive pain in the ass transform. That, and they're more prone to chipping and breakage due to the complexity, which renders them nothing more than an expensive tabletop piece.
Sure, the mainline stuff can come across as being cheap (because they are, compared to MP), but I would rather have something that's actually playable and good for fiddling with, and doesn't give me a heart attack when transforming.
