The beast, totem/cave base and trimaran are fairly interesting, but the rest looks to be bog standard Ninjago. Look forward to what the antagonists look like.

I found a couple of discounted Hidden Side sets, the ghost lab, the beach buggy and the one with the lumberjack for roughly 15 bucks each. Does anyone know if the hair pieces glow in the dark? I can't seem to find anything about that online

The problem is that the original leaker didn't want them leaked, he posted them on a discord group and told everyone to not share them online and they said ok, he showed them to his group friends and they betrayed him.

I’ve decided that my first non-licensed set is going to be this. I was going to get something from Lego City but I learned about the horrible PTP ratio. Any other Hidden Side sets I should look out for? Not a fan of most the stuff JANG has reviewed.

Correct you are. Not sure if I'll build it and sell cheap to recoup some of the cost. Got the large bin at about $3.25 a pound. Was about $90 worth. Counted over 70 minifigs already but their about 50% fleshies and I won't use them. Thanks for the quick ID!

Yeah the set's in high demand because it includes a single example of the fig in the thumbnail, who naturally people are going to want to mass because of the role those troops played in the Clone Wars finale.

Thank you to all who played. I inspected the helmet further and found the part #30214 and this piece is actually fairly rare in this color. Also here is a pic of the sword with the brightness turned way up so you can see the sparkles in the plastic, which seems like nothing Lego has ever done before. I think sparkles in the plastic is megabloks and absolutely disgusting.

Has anyone bought the Ikea Lego boxes yet? I was thinking I would order some to store my Lego Dimensions characters and vehicles but the Ikea near me only has the biggest box in stock for pick up. And if I try to order for delivery online only the set of bricks are available. I don't understand why they don't just let me place the order and fill it when they get new stock. I am going to see if I can order these from Lego directly. ikea sucks.

I have another identification game for you /lg/... What is the difference between the group of 1x2 bricks on the left and the 1x2 bricks on the right? They both appear to be trans-clear color but the ones on the left have a bluish-greenish tint to them. It doesn't look as blue on the pic as it does in person though. I suspect the answer will be that they became discolored with age but the old other trans-clear pieces that are discolored don't look quite like this. Any guidance is appreciated.

Nothing. I don't think it's done yet, LEGO is not going to give up on those Chinabux so easily. But it's already had something of a wonky schedule, releasing a small wave just months after the first one. It's possible they don't have anything planned for winter, or if they do, they're being extra secure about it. When the summertime leaks were coming out, TLG brought the hammer down on hard on any and all Monkie Kid leaks, but was pretty lax on everything else.

I’d like to have some generic shot for fun builds.

I’m getting my old LEGO bin back from a friend my brother left it with a decade ago. Sets are from like 97 to ‘03. I had most of the Adventurers (Desert and Dino), 1st wave Harry Potter, 1st wave Star Wars, Phantom Menace, Clone Wars, some castle, ninja, aquanauts and a lot of miscellaneous small kits from the era. There should also be a good bit of shit in their from my brothers up until 2010 or so but I don’t really recall what all they had.

Minifigs cost extra normally, as do licensed sets. Creator's the best way to steer clear of that. There's plenty of fluctuation in the price of sets across the board though. You can compare the number of bricks on the box to the price if you want but that's kinda pointless minmaxing since different bricks do have different values.

On /co/ there's screencaps of storyboards for episodes that were not part of season 1 that were posted by someone from the animation studio. A season 2 is in production. Is there the possibility of lego pulling the plug mid-production? Maybe I guess, but season 1 hasn't even aired in any western country yet despite the sets being out for 6 months. Greetings LG!
Long time no see. I've recently managed to get enough free time to finish a project that started off I think around 2 months ago when I made some GreyTron astronauts.
Well, they now finally have a base to call home.
I decided to make this build similar to a way a playset would be designed, trying to incorporate fun features and have a balance of things thrown in there. Unfortunately, as usual, I had to work with what I had lying around as I didn't exactly buy anything specific for this project.

Here are a few shots of their ship not on its landing pad. I'm really happy with the way it turned out, even though about 80% of the time I spent working on it I couldn't get it just right, it magically came together at the end there.

For those out there wondering what GreyTron even is - this is the only picture of it we have.
It was supposed to be a prototype theme from 1989. While I like the overall idea and colors I can't say I'm a huge fan of the build they have here.
Still, I'd say my build can at least fit thematically within the same canon.
And yes, I did mix grays, I really don't have the parts to use only period-appropriate shades of gray.

old version here. Mostly I moved the canopic shrine so it wouldn't block the view of the rest of the scene. I also made the doorway a bit nicer rather than it being just a hole in the wall (still based on real egyptian tombs)

the great thing about ninjago city and docks is that it is super easy to just add more floors and build vertically. So if you don't want to take it apart (I don't really it is a fantastic set maybe legos best ever) you can instead just add more floors and levels.

I added a floor to one end of my ninjago docks to add more vertically to the build and make it feel more even with ninjago city itself here's a sloppy pic

Resistance Transport is my favorite vehicle from nu-wars. I try to separate artists work from director's crap. And by itself this is a very nice ship and lego designers went 120% trying to recreate this in Lego form. It's fun to build, nice sits in a hand and can feet a lot of troopers with funny helmets.

tldr - I just like the design and don't care from what crappy movie it came from.

No. Contrary to what some people think, the reason Lego provides spares is because those are the pieces most likely to be "misplaced" by the customer, and it's more efficient to provide spares than to have upset customers complaining about the "missing" pieces and getting replacements shipped. Lego has such a huge profit margin that packing thousands of extra pieces is cheaper than sending out replacement parts for people who would complain.

The ship has shitload of space! I can fit 10 minifigs (+1 pilot in cockpit) easily. I can fit another 3 in space behind and on the sides or I can put a lot of cargo or droids there.

This is a really well-thought model, unlike another resistance transport from this year where you can fit almost NOTHING inside.

Speaking from a non-Bionicle perspective, it's a tough call. It isn't much in a sense, but I was never one for the massive sets they made. And really I wouldn't have come back to Lego if not for Monster Fighters and this gorgeously spooky train.

Wasn't there supposed to be a distinction between the two? Something along the lines of the first one meant to be effectively dead, non movable skeletons, and the second one for reanimated skellies.
I remember reading about it in these generals but I can't recall if this was ever a official design guideline.

Probably the original Barracuda. The remake is nice but it doesn't beat the original for me. Skull's Eye Schooner, Imperial Trading Post and Fort Legoredo are very close seconds.
