I have six death troopers and two shore troopers in that army. I don't have much Disney Star Wars stuff, but I've built Inthert's U-Wing and T-70 designs. I think the T-70 itself is lazy, but they still look cool. The U-Wing is a decent addition to the universe in my opinion.

I wish it would but without the dragons. When they introduced dragons and fantasy elements it stopped being classic castle. The only true Classic Castle is Crusaders, Black Falcons, Black Knights, Forestmen, and Wolfpack. Anything else after should be considered New Castle and trash. Although I do collect Ninja because its kino. And Medieval Marketplace and Mill Village Raid are kino also and worth acquiring. Everything else is trash.

Those clips are the fucking worst. I tried reassembling my TIE Advanced Microfighter a few months ago and almost all of those clips cracked upon assembly, and the ones that didn't are noticeably looser. Do you think I'd have a chance contacting them about replacements for a 4-year-old set?

That's a common problem that has absolutely nothing to do with you and I wrote a bit about it here:

Basically, the part can't handle the stress due to its geometry and plastic and gets torn apart after staying connected for some time.

You might want to check out those flag pieces, too, since there's a high chance that those are also cracked or in the process of cracking.
Hold it so that the light will reflect off the surface and move the part slightly around.
Should they be developing cracks then there will be a (barely visible) deviation of the reflection that should be around the same area as where your other clips broke.

Can someone help me remember this set. I got it from my Grandpa for Christmas when I was a little kid. Early 2000s. It was a Fighter Jet, I believe it was black. Felt like a pretty complex build at the time but I was a little kid so hard to tell. don't know if it was modelled after a real jet or not because I wasn't as /k/ back then. Would anyone be interested in seeing whats inside these boxes? These have been at my parent's attic for quite some time, all contain Legos from at least 1995 up to late 2000s. I remember there was 100% some old castle stuff and bionicle. I expect most of it will be disassembled/without boxes. If there will be demand, I will post the content later or tomorrow.

Wow. And I thought the sets in the boxes in my parent's attic got messed up. A couple years ago I took them out and put them in new bins. The old bins were bigger and had mold on them. I hosed those down with a car wash hose and used them for something else.
Right now the sets are sitting in those new boxes in a storage unit waiting to be put back together.

Correction: After having watched Jang's review of the Creator ship and how he compares it to the Black Seas Barracuda, it is in fact much smaller than the Ideas set. However, it's incredibly plain which gives the illusion to the eye that it's relatively small and simple.

Hmmm... maybe if it had a bit more pizazz? Because just looking at it my eyes are bored. The Destiny's Bounty is a good size and gorgeous, draws the eye and the flight feature is well hidden if you don't want it.

I've recently finished building my first Forestmen Set.
6066 - Camouflaged Outpost is a pretty nice set. It isn't the largest in said theme but has a surprising number of cool features (opens in the middle, hidden door, back slope hinges up) and also a pretty large number of figures (comes with 6 figures and a horse!).
The set I got was in pretty good condition but missing one of the rarer pieces (black feather for horseman).
Overall it's a fun build and a nice set to display, I don't know if I'll get all of the sets in this faction as they are expensive but just having one of them to round out a large future Castle display seems like a good bed.
What do you guys think of the Forestmen overall? Was it a good faction or was it inferior to the more "standard" ones?

A question for the historians. I've recently returned from my dark age and dabbled a bit with LDD and just noticed that the 4x4 wing pieces (3935, 3936) don't seem to be in production anymore. Is this the case, or were they reissued with some other design numbers? I'm somewhat surprised, since it seemed to be a pretty useful piece, thanks to the cut corner being able to create seamless larger iterations.

I love the Forestmen anon. I love classic Castle as a whole and am trying to obtain every set from like 1984 - 1993... I stop collecting when they went to Dragon Knights. But anyway, Forstmen are one of the best factions because they are so different. Camoflauged Outpost is probably the best Forestmen set too. The Forestmen's Hideout is really cool too and can be had for cheap. Sorry you are missing the black small plume feather. That has been one of my main frustrations collecting Classic Castle. It looks like you got the blue one though which is good because that is expensive too. I just looked up yesterday on bricklink the years that piece was in production and it still is in sets now, just not in black or blue. Lego, if you are reading this, please re-release some sets or minifigs with black and blue small plumes!!! Please! I don't want to spent $15.00 on a fucking feather again.

I have the similar, simpler looking chin guard, and unless that one is more different than it looks it should fit the same. It'll fit but looks like shit on a regular helmet since it doen't fit over the chin of it and gets stuck in a half raised position. It looks kinda cool flipped upside down to give a bit of a forehead guard though. Works fine on the simpler chinless helmets but not the aviator sort.

Why is there only one point of contact between this plate and whatever you're connecting it to? Wouldn't it be more stable with at least two studs of contact? Ideally three or four, or work it into a sandwich that holds the connecting piece to the plate with the smooth slope plate pieces..

Besides, if you need the single stud connection to the 3x4 plate as a joint (despite such a design being lazy and weak) you can easily have enough space both for reinforcements (to add toe details if this is a foot, for example) and for the main connection.

Because the SNOT configuration I'm working with requires an 8x7 floorplan instead of an 8x8 floorplan and it would be much more stable with 3x4 plates instead of 3x2 plates.

Because I think you can get a smoother look by replacing that brown 1x6 plate with a 1x2, tossing those brown 1x1 bricks, and filling in the gaps with said curved slope piece with a square 1x1 plate under it.

I'm pretty sure I have the parts let me draft it up.

If you would like to make a model I suggest you look into tabletop gaming/model train board making. Type in something like "desert terrain tabletop" or "desert model train board" or "desert terrain warhammer." There are usually step by step guides If you want I can shill someone here but that is not at all my intent. If not you just need some sand/rocks and spray paint. Or some bark. Spray painted bark looks surprisingly great for things like cliffs. Finding the perfect spray paint might be the hardest part but I don't think its that much work. If you want to spend real money you can get an airbrush kit but I don't think that is at all necessary.

I'm going to second the guy who said to look into tabletop models or the types of things you see in arts and crafts stores. If you have any spare styrofoam, try cutting it up with a Xacto knife and applying glue to the outside of it, then rolling it in sand. You could also use clay and do the same thing. I want to do some of this myself. Sky backgrounds are the only sticking point I'm unsure of. Printing out a picture of a sunset onto a regular sheet of paper isn't going to look good.

Something to keep in mind about spray paint and foam. Depends on your material and paint, but sometimes spray paint can melt foam. Test on a scrap piece before you get your model terrain perfect.

That's how I do it. I use gallon bags to store smaller bags of subdivided pieces (i.e. all my different types of clip pieces are individually bagged by type, and all bags are kept in a gallon bag)

That's the part I don't understand, there are things that suggest it was still intended for western audiences but they've done an abysmal job at it. Yeah, if you contact them through CS they'll send a second sticker sheet to you, free of charge. I've never had to do it though

Ok /lg/, its just what you've all been waiting for, another exciting edition of "IS IT LEGO?!?!?" Reorganizing a bag of minifigs and accessories and came across these questionable items. I have already checked the obvious tells, like if there is a Lego logo or part #. They all do not have either. Any guidance is appreciated and thanks for playing!

Why did lego stop using the Balaclava head for stormtroopers? It looks so much better than just a normal flesh tone head that you can see underneath, if you still want a face and not just a black head
